We offer 3 rental options for this 3000 SF log and modern wood constructed duplex home located in the unique Bellvue Dome geologic setting: a 1500sf Log House Apartment (4-5 occupants), a 1280sf more modern Loft Apartment (2-3 occupants), or the entire house (Log Home Rental Unit, 6-9 occupants). The Loghouse Apartment unit is a 1,500+ sf unit. Downstairs - Master bedroom (15x16') and study (11x10'); full bathr (8x6') with walk-in tile and glass shower, full kitchen (11x10')* opens to a living room (15x15') and dining area (12x10'). Bathroom and living/dining area open to a west facing 42 ft long redwood deck (446sf), including an inserted and open sky Hot Springs Grande spa. Upstairs - bedroom and 1/2-bath (12x14'+8x8'); included with the rental is an 11x13' (143 sf) Garage with remote controlled door not counted in living space, for total 1,674 sf rented space. Private entrance. A 75' sf Laundry room with washer/dryer, and folding counter is shared by both units, and not counted in living space.

This property is the perfect get-away. It is an ideal location due to the sense of solitude, being away from the hustle and bustle, yet only a 15 minute drive to Old Town where you can find endless entertainment, shops, eateries, music and so much more. If you are an outdoorsy person, this is an ideal location for you. Not only is the view of the valley and the red rocks captivating, there is an abundance of wild life, biking trails, state parks, lakes and rivers all within a few miles. So much fun for the whole family, or just a peaceful get-away for anyone.
While we do have WiFi you wont find a television in every room, in fact you wont find one at all. This is a great place to bring people together and disconnect from their busy and sometimes hectic schedules. We have many games available, a beautiful deck with a hot tub that sparks great conversation, peace, quite, and views to die for. It is not a 5 star resort, it is your retreat while at work or play in this awesome place we call home.
Lovely cabin, well-appointed kitchen, beautiful views, friendly manager. One major safety issue is the lack of a handrail on the very steep staircase to the loft. Also, for a place with no central AC, the loose screens on at least two windows made the cabin stuffy at times.
Since many reviews raved about the cinnamon rolls and fresh eggs offered to guests, we were a little disappointed to learn that this is no longer a practice due to Amy's increased family obligations.
We would definitely recommend this property to prospective vacationers!
My family & I had a wonderful stay here. The cabin had a beautiful view and great deck to eat meals on. The cabin had everything that we needed . The owners and their family were very accommodating ..

This is the first reservation I have made on the VRBO site and I must say it was a learning experience. Since all previous reviewers gave this cabin five stars my expectations were pretty high. However, the pro's list for me is very short: 1)The owner Amy was great. We had to call her twice during our stay for a few issues, she answered her phone promptly and was very willing to help. 2) The surroundings of the cabin were very peaceful and the views out of all the windows were great. 3) The hot tub was a great amenity and was put to good use.
My list of con's is a bit weightier. 1)The cabin itself was not very clean. There were many cob webs all over the house. The glass shower enclosure appeared dirty. And the upstairs bedroom had quite a few bugs, I think I killed over 5 the first night there. Not only was the cabin not very clean but you are also expected to strip the beds of all the linens, take out all of the trash, and do all the dishes you used before you leave. I don't have a problem cleaning up, but I paid a housekeeping fee when I made the reservation, so I don't think I should have to do half the work. 2) You are not allowed to touch the thermostat. This wouldn't have been a big deal, except the second night we were there it got down in the 40's and the owners didn't turn on the heater. In order to warm up our side of the cabin we would have had to use a wood burning fire place and we were all far too tired to figure out how to work it, so we stayed a little cool that night. 3) It's not stated clearly in the description that this cabin is a duplex and the owners live on the other side. There are three doors throughout the house that separate you from them and they are all paper thin. We were woken up every morning by the creaky floors, squealing children, and conversations among them. When we were sitting in the living/dining room it would at times sound like they were all in the same room as us, which is not ideal when you are trying to have a relaxing get away.
In summary I wouldn't recommend this cabin. I honestly don't understand how anyone gave this place five stars.
We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay for our vacation. Sitting on the deck was so quiet and peaceful, and the view was fabulous. The chickens were fun. We enjoyed the hot tub each night. We hiked every day and the hikes were close by, which was so convenient. Amy helped us with choices and directions which was so very helpful. Amy also cooked us a meal while we were there. This was the absolute highlight of our trip. We had been on a long hike that day and it was such a pleasure to come home and have such a special meal waiting on us. We picked the menu and it was better than any restaurant could have ever been. We loved our stay and would rebook in a heartbeat if we were in the area. Thank you, Amy, for everything!!!
This was the perfect retreat for my sisters and I! We are busy mama's and wives and only get one weekend per year with one another. We couldn't have asked for a more warm, welcoming and beautiful spot to relax. The owner has chickens on the property who roam free, which is so fun! There were fresh eggs awaiting us upon our arrival, among many other very personal and thoughtful touches. Would recommend this getaway spot to anyone who wants kick back and relax. We"d surely come back again!

GREAT BIKING. The Poudre River bike trailhead is 2 miles away. Out our front door, no shuttle necessary! Rist and Poudre Canyons, Bingham Hill, and Cty Rd 23 along Horsetooth Reservoir are also very popular road bike rides. Mountain bike nearby Lory State Park, Horsetooth Reservoir and Mtn Parks, and the famous Blue Sky trail to Devil's Backbone near Loveland. Shuttle service can be arranged.
BREWERIES. The area is recognize as "The Craft Beer Capital of Colorado. Two famous breweries, O'dell and New Belgium, are just minutes from our place. LORY STATE PARK (@ 2 miles) – borders Horsetooth reservoir, horseback riding and trails, connects to Horsetooth Mtn Park and Blue Sky trail to Devil’s Backbone Open Space (15 mile off road trail!).
OLD TOWN FORT COLLINS (8 miles) - Pedestrian plaza, restaurants, music, and art venues. New West Festival in August. Visit http://www.downtownfortcollins.com

CACHE LE POUDRE RIVER CANYON (4 miles) – trout highway, outstanding whitewater…all classes, rafting and kayaking; Mishawaka Inn (stream side restaurant, bar, and outdoor music venue); mtn bike and hiking trails galore; access to Cameron Pass area, Nordic skiing
CACHE LE POUDRE WILDERNESS (13 miles)– secluded, 500,000 acre playground at head of Rist Canyon Road, access at Stove Prairie School; hike, fish, ski, mtn bikes allowed on Stove Prairie Rd.
HORSETOOTH MOUTAIN PARK (15 miles by car, close hiking, biking, skiing access through Lory State Pk) - trails, horseback riding, mtn biking. Incredible views of Longs Peak and Rocky Mtn National Park

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK (68 miles): One of the jewels of the USNP system. Spectacular mountain environment. Enjoy the scenic Trail Ridge Road car tour at 12,000 feet (check for winter closing dates), or the over 300 miles of hiking trails among wildflowers (best late June-Early August), autumn leaves and elk bugling in the meadows (last September- Early October). Estes Park is a small town at the north gateway to the park, and has plenty restaurants, shopping, and hosts the famous Stanley Hotel (stop there for a tour or a cocktail). A full day would be a drive through the park and home through Lyons, home of Oscar Blues brewery, pub, and live music venue. Don't miss the pinball museum in Lyons. Great day trip from our place or a two day excursion on your way to or from the Denver Airport. Drive up the back way from our place along Horsetooth Reservois and through Masonville if you have the time.
