Awesome host and nice condo!

  • 5 of 5

Mike was the perfect host, easy to get in touch with and always ready to assist you with any issues. The condo was a little hard to find when we first got there after dark... Google maps tells you to enter through the other entrance and you are basically on the opposite side of the complex. It took us 10 min to finally arrive at #143. The only problem I had, was the thermostat was not on when we got there. A bit chilly and since it is a 3 level unit, it took a while to heat up. Just a thought for future reception? The place was clean and cozy with a well equipped kitchen. Except for a couple of minor glitches which Ive emailed Mike for assistance and within a few hours, he called me with possible solutions.

On our way out of Tahoe we actually got snowed in. HWY80 was closed and we might be looking at having to stay another night. I called Mike to see if he can accommodate us for another single night, and he was able to work it out for us to check in if at the end of the day we still couldn't get out of Dodge. In the end we took our chances and pushed through the long treacherous trip back to the city. But it was reassuring to know we would have a place to stay if we got stranded.

We would DEFINITELY come back and stay at Mike's condo!... ps... maybe by then you'll have less lumpy beds? That one bedroom on the second floor had a platform bed which was comfy.. lol overall, we enjoyed every minute of our stay.. storm included! Thank you Mike.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the great feedback. You are not the first to mention the chilly state of the condo upon arrival during the winter. It turns out I set the thermostat to 50 degrees while the condo is vacant and now looking at installing a Bluetooth thermostat to allow me to change the temperature remotely before guest arrivals in the future during the winter. Plan is to have it in place by next winter, 2018. As far as the minor glitches, I removed and replaced the bulb on the front porch to help with entry and plan to change the mechanism on the vertical blinds to help with the binding issue. Appreciate the feedback on my interaction with your group during your stay to accommodate your change in circumstances. Also, you will be glad to hear, I have purchased a new box spring and bed for the master bedroom, Sealy posturepedic cushioned firm California king set. Waiting for the weather to clear up a little for delivery in the near future. Look forward to your future stay. Thanks, Mike

Well cared for and will fit a nice group

  • 4 of 5

We just rented out this condo about a week ago. We have other friends who live in the condo association and we find it easy to get where we need to go. This weekend our friends place was booked so we rented this condo. It was clean and welcoming. MK you might set the thermostat a little higher in the winter before guests come as it was a bit chilly and took awhile to heat up once we checked in, but everything else worked as expected. Clean bed, everything you might need for showers, even if you forgot your own shampoo. The kitchen was also well stocked and easy to make a meal. MK was also very accessible and answered a request for some extra time very quickly. Thank you for a nice weekend and for the flexibility. We enjoyed our time in your lovely condo.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your candid review and comments. I pride myself in providing a truly exceptional experience for all my guests and glad your review reinforces that to me and that I am on the right path. Glad to see your comment about being accessible. I try to be available anytime while guests are staying to facilitate any inquiries my guests might have or changes they may want to make. To be honest, I never thought about how cold the condo could feel upon arrival during the winter, but in the interim, will change my set point of the thermostat to a slightly higher temperature in the winter for future guests based on your feedback. I was always looking at minimizing the cost of heating a vacant condo versus initial temperature upon arrival for guests. I will also investigate installing a remote control thermostat that would allow me to per-condition the condo temperature remotely before arrival. Good winter item feedback! I have to agree, it is some of the little things that make a stay convenient, i.e. shampoo, soap, firewood, coffee, popcorn and a well stocked kitchen with all the condiments and cooking oils. thanks for the feedback. Skiers Delight

  • 5 of 5

This was our second time at the condo. Love the location and the accommodations. Easy to get there. Feels like you are out in the woods but still nice and close to town for shopping. Fireplace is awesome, (Wood is provided). Kitchen is very well stocked with all kinds of appliances, A chef would appreciate. Waffle maker, popcorn maker, rice cooker and of course all the regular necessary ones. As well as spices, condiments, and basic pantry supplies. Lots of games and snow toys to play with. Nice large TV. Dual sinks in the downstairs bath made getting ready faster. Cant wait to go back in the summer.

The Best Vacation Condo!

  • 5 of 5

This condo literally felt like home. It was located in a great location with the store just down the way and the casino a little further. Most likely will be back!
