Main floor: Additional Sleeping Room with Twin Sleigh Bed with Powder Room, Dining Room, House has a very open layout-Living Room, Dining Room Sitting Room, Connected Kitchen + Family Room with Sofa Bed. Balcony off of Family Room has a view of terraced gardens. Outdoor table with barbecue grill. Central Air. Internet. Newly sanded wood floors and freshly painted interior and exterior.

Tree-lined neighborhood street conveniently located-- about 3 miles from downtown Greenwich Avenue, Bruce Park and Bruce Museum of Arts and Sciences. Former estate of writer Barbara Tuchman, (now a town-owned park 'Pomerance' with paths connecting to 'Pinetum-Greenwich Garden Center)' is a walk to the the end of the street. Commuter train to Manhattan about 5 minutes away.

Lots of Baby/Child equipment including high chair.

Pets considered with prior approval. Nonsmoking.

Owner reserves totally separate discreet finished basement apartment in lower level and is available if needed when on premises.

Why Kathryn Doherty chose Stamford

Beautiful street, convenient location, great neighbors. Terraced gardens are a real plus. New Kitchen + Master bath, fresh paint inside and out, sanded floors. Commuting distance proximity to New York and all it has to offer but able to come home and settle back into a quiet house with a garden.

What makes this house unique

Available also for longer-term. It is the perfect 'in transition' or 'try out the area' option. Great for corporate relocations or a place to live while renovating your own home. Proximity to New York makes it a good choice for photo and film shoots.

Guests have both a supportive host available to offer recommendations and also total privacy. I reserve a totally separate apartment in the finished lower level basement and am there if not traveling. The apartment does not overlap or share entrance / any space with the house. Guests can feel free to approach me as needed with any questions or suggestions. Otherwise, their experience is completely separate and independent.

Delightful!!!

This home is like staying at a country inn. The location is perfect for anyone who needs to be near NY/Stamford/upper Westchester etc. It's well equipped and most importantly CLEAN! The owner is just wonderful! Warm, friendly and helpful. We had no issues what-so-ever. The only note I would add is for anyone with knee issues. There are many steps which may limit your enjoyment especially of the beautiful back yard.

Great house in a wonderful neighborhood.

We feel most fortunate to have had the opportunity to live in this house for the past five months. The house is charming, very comfortable, and the upgrades in the master bath and kitchen make for easy living. The first floor rear sun room with the t.v. is a wonderful addition to this house. Kathryn, the landlord, has been most accommodating to our needs and the parking situation, particularly with having our two college age children living with us, was never a problem. This quiet neighborhood is easy to walk and the house is situated a short walk to local stores, and a brief walk to the to a town nature preserve which offers multiple hiking trails. We have had a great experience living here and highly recommend this house.

This House Has Everything!

You will be very comfortable in this lovely home. It has everything you could possibly need for a short or extended stay.

All the amenities are here from whirlpool tub in the master bath, to the herb garden in back. It has a fully equipped new kitchen and a beautiful terraced garden in back.

The location is great. It is located on a quiet, residential street with in walking distance to Starbucks, the Post Office, Library, CVS and a nature preserve.

The house has been recently renovated and is great condition. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.
