Beautifully restored to its original charm, with gleaming wide pine floors and yellow pine matchboard walls. The first floor has a bathroom, kitchen, separate dining room with table and chairs for six, and a living room which leads to the front porch, where there are chairs and a table for eating, reading or just relaxing. The back porch has a picnic table and is convenient to the gas grill and large yard. The enclosed outside shower is nestled amongst forsythia bushes just steps from the house. On the second floor are 4 bedrooms, 1 with a Queen bed 1 with a double and 2 with 2 twin beds each, and a half bath. * Excellent for family reunions or weddings, as our adjacent house at 11 Quinapoxet Ave., has 4 Bedrooms, 1.5 baths, outside shower, sleeps 8.
Loved the location in regards to the beach. Nice set up for any family. Outdoor shower was perfect for coming back from the beach. It was clean with plenty of room in the lower main part of the house.
The only minor issue was the Bedrooms upstairs were small and some of the mattresses could use replacing. Also tough navigating the stairs to the bedrooms. I had my in-laws down for a few days who are older, and it was tough for them to use the narrow steep stairs up and down. We had a great experience overall. Loved siting out on the porch at night sipping wine and reading a book. I would recommend renting this place and will probably look to rent it again if my kids get into the Falmouth road race next year.
There's a 5 mile bicycle path to the village of Woods Hole which begins in the center of town. Falmouth village has quaint restaurants, gift shops, golf courses, tennis courts, and a huge library. Walk to basketball court, baseball/softball fields, soccer fields. There is an aquarium at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute in Woods Hole.
