About Carole Musaracchia & Beverly Balbirsingh
Hi! We are Beverly and Carole, who are the owners at 823. We live on the first and second floors of our home. We welcome you to a comfortable stay in our studio apartment
Carole Musaracchia & Beverly Balbirsingh purchased this Studio in 2005
Why Carole Musaracchia & Beverly Balbirsingh chose Bedford-Stuyvesant
Our home is situated in an up and coming section of Bed Sty. It is a 10 minute car drive to both the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. We enjoy the conveniences to activities in and around Brooklyn and Manhattan. We like the vibe of the neighborhood and the diverse population.
What makes this Studio unique
We fell in love with this house because of the backyard space. We created a private space in our back yard to enjoy when we need to unwind. It makes us feel like we are in the country in the city. We like to entertain and having friends and family over to enjoy the space with us.

We really enjoyed staying at this property during our quick trip to NYC. The studio was VERY clean and comfortable. The hosts were very welcoming and gave us information as we needed to make our visit a great one.
Very Friendly Owners. Very clean. Comfortable. I devoutly recommended to friends and family
Good news! Wifi is working consistently now.
I purchased the Google Wifi Mesh extender so now wifi is working and our complimentary Netflix is working, so our guests can Netflix and chill whenever they want.
Everything is up to speed!
Home away from Home
We loved this loft apartment & will definitely stay again when visiting NYC.
We arrived late evening in terrible weather. Carole helped us to the shining clean loft where it was a great size, really warm & welcoming; flufffy towels, tea & coffee, water, cereal, snacks, condiments & bathroom supplies were just some of the things left to start us off. The beds are sooooo comfy & the TV was handy to entertain our Daughter. The apartment is located about 10 steps from the B38 bus which takes you directly to Downtown Brooklyn, great shopping area & has direct links into Manhattan. There is a lot of services in the local neighborhood including a supermarket, dollar stores & lots of eateries if you just want to take a day out from the City. We went to Mary’s Cafe down the street, the food & service was great & better value than both Downtown & Midtown although we did visit ‘Juniors’ on a few occasions.
We vote Carole & Bev the best homeaway landlords that we have had the pleasure of dealing with, the attention to detail was fantastic & we will definitely be recommending them to our friends & family when visiting NY.
My husband and I had a great experience in this cozy place. We stayed from Christmas Eve until January 1st and every day we looked forward to coming home to it after exploring NYC. The location is very convenient with a grocery down the street and amazing coffee shops nearby as well. There's a bus stop literally right out front, too! The HomeAway has a full kitchen, which was great for when we did not eat out. The bed is so comfortable and there is plenty of storage for your clothes. The tv has Netflix and Hulu, which was great for movie nights. There is also quite a few games available. Carole and Beverly were great hosts and gave us all the information we could need about the city and also left snacks for us to enjoy. We loved it here and I would recommend it to anyone!!
Awww, you both are so great! Thank you so much for choosing our place! You were so easy to communicate with and we felt so happy that
you decided to book with us.
Thank you for telling our future guests about the cafes and transportation and the vibe of the neighborhood.
Please come back anytime!!
Best regards for the new year
Carole and Bev
Very comfy and lots of room
I stayed at Carole's lovely apartment during a recent trip with my husband and adult son. We found it beautifully designed with all the comforts of home, very private and very roomy-- a real treat so close to Manhattan! The neighborhood offered everything necessary and we really loved breakfast at Brooklyn Blend, just down the block and one of the many excellent suggestions the hosts provided. A subway stop just four short blocks away made getting around very easy and Uber was readily available. For the trip back to the airport Carole suggested a great car service, which made it very easy and worry-free. A wonderful experience!
Thanks Karen, for your great review! It was so nice to finally meet you and your family. Thanks for letting our future guests know about our apartment and the convenience to food and transportation. Pratt car service is just around the corner and they usually charge $35 for a regular car back to JFK, a little less to LGA airport. So they are reasonable and close to home. Please come back next time you are thinking of traveling to NY.
All the best,
Carole and Bev
Clean, comfortable and super friendly hosts
What a lovely place to stay! The apartment is exactly as described. It’s clean and stocked with items that made our stay more convenient. Carole and Beverly were so wonderful! They are friendly, helpful and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again if visiting NYC. The neighborhood is safe, there’s a great coffee shop around the corner.
Thanks Grace, it was a pleasure hosting you.
Please come back anytime you are planning a trip to NYC. The coffee shop, Brooklyn Blend is great for coffee, smoothies and an inexpensive breakfast. Although we supply coffee and tea, sometimes you need more fuel to start a busy day of sightseeing! Thanks for choosing our place!
We are located in Brooklyn in historic Bedford Stuyvesant. Our home is right on DeKalb Avenue just steps away from the B38 bus to Downtown Brooklyn. It's a ten minute bus ride to a strip of fantastic restaurants, Fort Greene Park, the Barclay Center, home of the Brooklyn Nets and the venue for concerts and BAM. Take a stroll through Pratt Institute's Sculpture Garden which is only 7 minutes away by bus. Have a slice of Juniors famous cheesecake only 15 minutes away by bus, before you connect to the B,Q, N or R train to New York City right on the corner of Juniors. Stroll through the mall near Barclay Center where you will find stores such as Target, Marshalls, Uniqlo and DSW. Or explore the newly reorganized and rapidly changing Fulton Mall near Juniors in which you will find Macys, Aeropostale, Aldo, American Apparel, Armani Exchange, Banana Republic,Brooklyn Industries to name a few. We are very close to the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, beautiful Brooklyn Bridge Park where you will find the most spectacular views of NYC between 2 bridges. Brooklyn Bridge Park offers free outdoor movies in the summer with the NYC skyline as a backdrop, Beach Volleyball courts, Kayaking, Ping Pong, Bocce, Basketball,Rollerskating Rink and the famous Janes Carousel where, for 2 dollars, young or old, you will enjoy this. There are fun parks within the park for children and a scenic bike path. Food festivals are a regular attraction at this park. Citibikes are available a few blocks from us, where you can rent a bike and use the bike lanes made available, we will supply maps. Prospect Park is also nearby Grand Army Plaza and the Brooklyn Public Library and the Brooklyn Museum and the Zoo. A large green market takes place during the summer at the edge of Prospect Park and also every Saturday at Fort Greene Park. Many farmers from upstate New York attend these markets as well as every Wednesday near Union Square Manhattan, a short ride on the Q train. There are a number of public parks and a public pool (Kosciuszko Pool) which is 3 blocks from our house. There is so much to do in Brooklyn, so many restaurants and bars near our home and in the nearby Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. We are centrally located and a very easy commute to all attractions. You will have a great time and we will help you navigate your way around town. We are gay friendly and straight friendly. Families with children welcome!
