About Mike Hrib

We love the Gatlinburg area and the Smoky Mountains. We also own 4 other log cabin rental properties in Pigeon Forge.

Mike Hrib purchased this cabin in 2004

Why Mike Hrib chose Sevierville

We looked at several locations in the mountains and this property offered a great view with easy access to the cabins even in winter conditions. In addition, it is located just minutes from anything that you want to do in Pigeon Forge but still offers privacy and seclusion from the main traffic area.

Hi Ginger!

I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at your cabin. The cabin was beautiful and the view from the porch was perfect. We loved the location. It's both quiet yet convenient to everything. We hope you'll allow us to stay again the next time we visit the area. Thank you so much!

Great cabin!

  • 5 of 5

I love this cabin. My dog loves this cabin. The cabin itself is really nice and we thoroughly enjoyed our time on the deck. I am looking forward to coming back! Mike was great to work with.

Wonderful little cabin!

  • 5 of 5

What a great little cabin!! It was so close to everything, yet it was in the woods and no road noise could be heard! We enjoyed watching the rabbits outside the kitchen window. Everything we needed was provided. The three of us had a wonderful stay!

Expected more.

Our trip to the Smoky Mountains was great, but this rental could have made it even better. I don’t normally write reviews but this cabin left me disappointed. There were cobwebs in a number of visible/reachable places. The stove was covered in a prior visitors food and sticky on the knobs and handles. The dishes I pulled from the cabinets had dried food on them and everything had to be washed before we could use it. The bedroom quilt had dog hair on it and although it’s a dog friendly cabin, I would have hoped not to have it on my clothes. The overall cleanliness of this cabin made me question what had been cleaned and whether I should be washing the sheets and towels too. Ironically, the cleaning crew left an envelope on the counter stating that tips are appreciated.

If you are planning a trip and don’t intend to spend much time in the cabin, then this may be a fit for you. I will be doing more research for our next visit and will spend the extra couple hundred dollars to ensure we book a more reliable cabin.

Owner's Response: There is no excuse for a cabin that's not clean to your standard. I had tried a new housekeeping service to take some of the pressure off my present service and it was obviously an epic fail and they have been let go permanently. With housekeeping issues sometimes the first and only notice I get is from guests. Had I been called when you checked in I would have immediately rectified the problem to your satisfaction. I have no issue holding the housekeeping staff's feet to the fire. I encourage guests to call or text for any issue what so ever even something like a light bulb.

Dirty.

  • 1 of 5

The entire cabin was unclean. From the coffee pot to the windows & blinds and everything in between. There were cobwebs and spider webs in every corner. The hot tub is unusable in the state that it's in.

When reading the past reviews I honestly thought, surely these issues have been fixed by now. They have not. There is a review in Nov 2017 that cites a leaky fridge. The refrigerator is still leaking.

The cabin has potential and would be a cozy getaway with some TLC. Not only does it need a good deep clean but some updating as well. Most of the carpets were brown from use and tattered and torn.

Overall it's in sad shape.

This was absolutely not worth the money we paid for it and was definitely disappointing.

Relaxing Getaway - Property needs some TLC

  • 4 of 5

Property was exactly as described. It was a good location and we loved the views and small yard for walking our fur child. However, the hot tub was in need of maintenance/replacement. After a quick soak, my husband & myself were both covered in the hot tub's coating, which is completely flaking off, leaving parts of the tub rough enough to pick a bathing suit. Housekeeping could also spend some more time in the cabin, as the blinds were dusty & there were visible cobb webs. Also, it may have been the hard water, but the silverware and the dishes also appeared dirty. My husband even found a piece of grass in one of the glasses. Overall though, the cabin was very nice and the working gas fireplaces were awesome to have on the cool evenings.
