Many famous people have resided in or owned second homes there. People of all ages and from all areas come to Stephen Talk-house to listen to great live music, experiencing local entertainment as well as celebrity musicians who just happen to drop in. Why Joanne chose Town of East Hampton
I fell in love with the beachhouse the minute I saw it. Location, location, location...only 150 steps to the ocean, 4 miles to Amagansett Village, 7 miles to East Hampton Village and 6 miles to Montauk.

Awesome house & communication - A+++
The house is exactly as described - actually - its better than described! Joanne was a fantastic host and had excellent communication all the way through. Its right across the street from the beach (2 min walk) very light, clean and airy home. The games room and board games also kept us entertained for the quiet nights in. The house is well stocked with everything you need for a perfect family getaway.
I highly recommend staying here :) Thanks Joanne - we appreciate it!
Beautiful Open Living Space
My family and i enjoyed this beautiful home during the first week of August 2011. The upstairs living space is amazing and the full deck access from living room to outdoors is a pleasure. The ocean is secluded and easily reached from a toe path across the road. You have the beach to yourself - just be sure to swim with a buddy ( no life guards)! Everything in the home worked just - fine. A bonus was the water pressure in the showers ! Wonderful after a day of swimming in the ocean.
Perfect Beach Getaway
We couldn't have been more pleased with this home and location. Coming all the way from California, the house provided us the exact level of privacy, terrific beach access, quiet, and yet was close to the shops in Amagansett (particularly the fabulous Farmer's Market). The beach is beautiful and private, and the house is spacious. Perfect for a family with teenagers, as ours had their own "man cave" downstairs where they polished their pinball skills and had running billiards tournaments. We couldn't have wished for a better place. Thank you!
A beautiful home
Immaculately maintained with attention to small details and every convenience. Upstairs is large, airy and beautifuly surrounded in sunlight and deck. Kitchen is complete with dw, and all cooking conveniences. Downstairs is fun x3 - complete with pool table, pinball machines and board games galore. All rooms have cable and wireless access. The house is surrounded by beautiful shrubbery, a huge private deck, an abundance of chairs, lounges and topped off with a hot tub! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!!
Amagansett is the best kept secret of the Hamptons! You can always find something to do in Amagansett. You can take a scenic walk, run, bike, play tennis, swim, sunbathe, ride the waves, boogie board, surf, kite-surf, read, go out for lunch to one of the many great restaurants nearby. (I recommend Lobster Roll and Clam Bar both in walking distance from the house.) Or you can breathe in the beach air and relax. This is the perfect spot to get away from it all. Area Attractions: Farmers Market, Marine Museum, Original Coast Guard Station at Atlantic Beach, Canon from the American Revolution, Quail Farm, The Art Barge Other Activities: kite-surfing
