- Our super-friendly dogs, Jake and Sophie, WILL be in the backyard and around the pool during your stay. If you do not like dogs, please find an alternate property.
PROPERTY AND POOL AREA HIGHLIGHTS
Nearly 3, fully fenced acres with incredible, panoramic views! Take a leisurely swim in the tastefully tiled, in-ground pool or slip into the adjoining hot tub to unwind. There are plenty of lounging chairs with comfortable cushions to soak up the Texas rays or if you prefer the shade, relax in the hammock or sit under the large table umbrella. THIS PRIVATE POOL IS SHARED ONLY WITH HOMEOWNERS AND THEIR OCCASIONAL GUESTS. At most all times, you will have this area to yourself. It provides an amazing atmosphere for an outdoor meal or leisurely swim with the most incredible sunsets you have ever seen!
KITCHEN/DINING AREA HIGHLIGHTS
The well appointed kitchen (should you want to cook) features a self-cleaning oven with smooth top range and built in microwave, a large double sink and plenty of counter space (brand new granite countertops) with bar area and stools opening into the living area, a large refrigerator equipped with ice maker, and ultra-quiet dishwasher. The kitchen also features a coffee maker (with Starbucks coffee, creamer, sweeteners), toaster, small ice chest for the pool, spices, cooking oils and a large pantry stocked with corn if you would like to feed the many deer in the area. The dining area is open to the living area and kitchen, has gorgeous custom tiling with a matching tiled table and four cushioned chairs.
LIVING ROOM HIGHLIGHTS
Surrounded by windows and gorgeous stone gas burning fireplace, the living room offers a large sofa and love seat which provide plenty of seating to watch your favorite cable TV show or a DVD on the 42“ LCD flat panel HDTV. Play one of the many board games on the large coffee table - priceless family entertainment!
The master bedroom features a brand new, king size bed with dresser, side table and lamp. This bedroom also features a 40' LCD flat panel HDTV with cable TV and a DVD player with over 100 DVDs for your viewing pleasure. All beds (master and guest) are outfitted with the finest linens and fabrics. Enjoy a relaxing movie or your favorite cable TV shows in the luxury of your bed, or step down and out to the back patio to witness an amazing Texas sunset.
The bath features a full-size tub and shower (glass enclosed), with beautiful marble countertops and tile work throughout. These features along with two vanity areas, luxury towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and blow dryer provide you with all the essentials you need after a day visiting Austin sites, touring the local wineries or an afternoon lounging by the pool.
GUEST BEDROOM/STUDY HIGHLIGHTS
The guest bedroom features a trundle bed that converts to two twin beds, with a side table & lamp and matching dresser. This bedroom overlooks the back porch and yard, with a large mirrored closet and ceiling fan. The study area sits just outside the bedroom and features a desk with a lamp, printer and copy paper for your use. The guest house has wi-fi throughout for your convenience.

About Cameron & Tommy
We currently live in Austin, Texas on the same property as the Guest House. However, we spend lots of time at our second home in Breckenridge, Colorado and although we both work full-time, are avid travelers and love everything outdoors - including cycling, hiking, gardening, and scuba diving. Our last major trip was to the Galapagos Islands where we spent a week on an Aggressor ship diving with hammerhead sharks. It was an amazing experience! Over the years, we have been all over the world, and ALWAYS stay in vacation rental properties. We have taken everything we have learned from these stays, good and bad, to offer a place to guests that we believe far surpasses the usual vacation rental property. We want all of our guests to have a truly memorable experience and come back and stay with us.

Why Cameron & Tommy chose West Oak Hill
The Guest House was an add-on to our "ranch style" home which we've lived in since 2000. It was originally built as a separate unit for friends and family to visit, so we went all out to make it a very special place. We love the location of our property as it's close to everything - the hill country, downtown Austin, Lake Travis - but it is extremely private and feels "away from it all." It's a great area for walking, cycling, or just hanging out by the pool on a warm day. Having acreage has allowed us to plant organic raised gardens, where we grow all kinds of veggies, fruit and olive trees, and even grapes. We hope you'll find the property as special as we do!

Property was a great fit for 2 couples and well equipped. The backyard with the garden and pool were a great addition, and the hosts could not have been nicer.
Relaxing and spacious property
We loved the stay in South Austin. The property is beautiful and the pictures don't do justice to the view; we spent a few nights watching the sunset from the hot tub. The location is very convenient off Hwy 290, but far enough away to be secluded. Access to the Hill Country was excellent, and we did several day trips to places like Fredericksburg and Gruene. The only part we had any trouble with was the traffic to get into Austin itself - Hwy 290 east was always jammed up, so we tended to go west instead of east and only got into downtown a couple of times. If you're looking for a gateway to the Hill Country, though, this is the perfect spot. The owners were awesome, and their dogs - which we shared the yard with - were both really sweet and friendly.
A wonderful Austin home
We fully enjoyed our stay. Tommy and Cameron were always available and attentive to the details. The home was beautiful and well stocked with all necessities, and many extra touches, such as a fresh fruit tray upon arrival, fresh flower bouquet, and a well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Being dog lovers, we enjoyed our daily pet sessions by the poolside with the owners' dogs. Everything was clean and the beds comfortable. We enjoyed our day tours to Austin, Waco, and San Antonio, knowing that we had such a welcoming place to comeback to each evening. Cooking was a breeze with spices and basics (flour, sugar,etc.) available in the kitchen and a grill on our porch. Thoroughly enjoyable stay!
Excellent property and location for a memorable and enjoyable stay in Austin
Our stay was more than expected. All the comforts of home were available. The area was very nice and within close proximity to restaurants, stores and main travel roads. Can’t wait to get back to Austin next year.
Relaxing in Austin
Our stay was absolutely perfect. So close to downtown yet you feel like your in an Oasis.
Enjoyed the wild deer, the walks around the neighborhood and the gorgeous view. The pool and the large back yard is very relaxing. Would definitely come back.

The property is huge and all fenced if you brought a dog.
Close to wineries, live music venues and downtown Austin. Weekend farmers markets are close by as are numerous shopping areas, local and chain restaurants. The guest house is close to town, the hill country, and Lake Travis . . . a perfect location to see it all!
