About the property

• This is a shared 4000 sq. ft. property featuring 3 bedrooms and a separate apartment. Property is situated on one acre with fantastic ocean, sunset, and pool views. This listing features one room. All have separate rates. I have mentioned my additional listings farther down in my description for your consideration in selecting a proper choice for your holiday enjoyment.

• The property is located in a great location just off the main highway, minutes away from three (3) protected and totally fantastic bays for snorkeling and kayaking.

• This Standard Room is furnished with a King size bed and mini fridge/freezer.

• Please see my other HomeAway listings 3771350, 3787767, or 3991416 for other accommodations within the home, different options and prices; as well as the opportunity to accommodate all the guests in your party.

State of Hawaii taxes are due at check-in.

Check-in is no earlier than 4:00 pm.

Check-out is no later than 11:00 am.

Quiet Time: 11 pm - 7 am.

Estimated time of arrival to the home must be received at least 24 hours prior to day of check-in and follow-up if delays arise.

Early check-ins and late check-outs will not be accommodated.

No shoes past interior entry.

Smoking is permitted outside and away from open screens and windows with observance of Quiet Time for main floor lanai (Loft suite excluded from lanai QT).

This is not a hotel, condo, or a Bed and Breakfast.

I'm sharing my home, you are paying for a room/ bed and bath. I live here. I work here. I'm available; not available 24/7.

There is No Front desk, maid or housekeeping service.

Each room accommodates a maximum of 2 guests.

Unregistered guests are not allowed on the premises during your stay without prior approval.

Guests under 12 years of age will not be accommodated.

Not suited for animals of any kind.

Close screen doors and front door completely at all times.

Turn off all lights and fans when you are not in the room.

No personal laundry available.

I do not enter your rooms during your stay. You are to clean up after yourselves in a clean and sanitary manner. Empty your room trash during your stay in the kitchen bin.

Pay attention to your noise level and Quiet Time for all guests enjoyment within the home.

Guests are to provide their own food. Keep all food and perishable items in your room refrigerator.

Guests are to eat at dining areas only. No eating in bedrooms or formal living room/common area.

Usage of the main kitchen is limited to the microwave, coffee pot, hot water pot, and toaster. No stove usage. The food in the main kitchen is not available unless otherwise stated by me.

Guests are to place rinsed, used dishes, cups and silverware in the dishwasher.

Do not use kitchen ice for coolers or day trips.

House phone is limited to calls specifically on this island.

There is adequate parking for four cars in the driveway. Proper parking is displayed and the gate code pad location is circled in photo number 2.

You must receive a gate code for entry and exit. Electronic gates will not open manually. Do Not Attempt to Push them to open.

Exit Code Keypad is attached to the home between the garage doors and above the hose hanger.

Leave the bathroom door open when you exit so other guests will know it is available for their usage.

No slamming doors.

Close screen doors and front door completely. No heavy/loud noises. Conservation of electricity and water is a MUST.

I shall tend to the dishwasher, house laundry, bathroom duties and housekeeping outside your rooms.

99% of my guests are happy, self-reliant, and considerate of the home, host, and other guests.

House rules have become so cumbersome due to that 1% experience factor.

My guests enjoyment of their holiday stay is my goal. Please don't make me add to this list of behaviors that the majority of my guests would not have to be told or would even consider.

About Rhonda

I have thoroughly enjoyed living on the island of Hawaii since 2002 and selected this destination after extensive traveling which included home exchanges in many countries.

To live everyday in total excitement and contentment with what the day has to offer became my mission.

Water quality and accessibility for swimming was at the top of my priority list.

I thank the Universe each and every day for allowing all of my life dreams, and more than I ever was able to imagine to come to fruition.

My passions are swimming, coffee farming, growing tropical fruits, vegetables, and flowers, as well as creating jams, jellies and liqueurs with the fruits of my little farm.

Operating a Guest House on my property became a dream that I am proud to see becoming a reality. I find it a total honor to live on this piece of paradise and feel totally compelled to share. What a great playground!!

I believe my success is based upon my guests enjoyment during their holiday. It is my desire to assist each of my guests in experiencing Hawaii in all its glory.

Our experience at Rhonda's was great! It was probably the best stay of our trip. Rhonda let us borrow her snorkeling gear, helped us find the best beaches for snorkeling, and provided fantastic breakfast. She makes her own coffee and avocado pie. On top of that her house was beautiful, the beds were super clean and comfy and we slept great!

Such a great place and Rhonda is awesome. Lots of great suggestions and knowledge of beaches etc. Lots of local literature to learn from. Will return hopefully sooner than later!

Une drôle d'expérience!

Voici mes quelques points positifs : la maison est grande, belle et propre. Nous avons eu nos serviettes renouvelées à tous les jours . Nous étions deux adultes. mon mari et moi; on a été chanceux car seulement 2des 3 unités à louer étaient occupées, nous incluant. On a donc un peu plus d'intimité. Si on avait été plus, ça serait autrement. La propriétaire a accepté de nous permettre de changer de chambre avec balcon après une nuit, sans frais supplémentaires.

On a beaucoup de points négatifs cependant : la propriétaire a un humeur très changeant. j'ai vécu quelques réactions désagréables non verbales et verbales et une certaine impolitesse de sa part,, je dirais. Une fois, elle nous a offert de la suivre pour une sortie en apnée le matin vers 7h45. On était prêt bien avant l'heure et l'a attendu jusqu'à vers 8h. On la cherchait partout, en haut, en bas, et aucun signe de vie. On s'est rendu nous même à la plage prévue et a vu qu'elle était déjà rendue, sans nous avoir averti. Bien sur que cela a été désagréable pour nous; je n'ai pas du tout aimé ça, en plus de quelques mauvaises expériences avec elle. La maison est loin de tout à notre goût, en plus d'être difficile à trouver. Si vous la louez, je vous suggère fortement d'arriver là le jour, pour pouvoir la retrouver plus facilement. Et surtout n'oubliez pas votre code pour ouvrir la gate; sinon, peut-être une mauvaise surprise.

Aussi, on n'a pas le droit de se servir de la cuisinière, ni le réfrigérateur dans la cuisine même si c'est vide (on a un petit frigidaire dans notre chambre); ce n'était pas ce que j'ai vu; il semble que plusieurs locataires ont été surpris par cela aussi, à part de nous. Elle disait que les règles n'ont pas été lues, mais là, je viens de revoir sa publication et je n'ai pas vu plus.

Une autre mauvaise expérience : la propriétaire a consommé notre vin rosé mis dans le frigidaire de la cuisine (car nous n'avons plus de place dans notre petit frigidaire). Après investigation, elle nous a dit qu'elle pensait que les autres locataires avant nous l'avaient laissé et elle l'a bu. Elle nous a rappelé que l'on ne devait pas laisser nos choses dans ce frigidaire pur éviter ça. Franchement, à sa place, j'aurai acheté une autre bouteille pour remettre au locataire une fois que j'aurai su que cette bouteille lui appartenait, mais bon!

Voilà. C'est certain que nous ne retournerons pas à cette place, si on revient à Captain Cook.

Spectacular views, clean and comfortable room.

We were early but got a welcoming reception. As we were cycling we

were glad to see the retreat was close to the road and near by a place where we could get dinner.
