Great weekend in Fayetteville

  • 5 of 5

My family enjoyed a great weekend in Fayetteville, and this house was a big reason why. It was just right for our family of four adults. It is rustic but comfortable, and the location is perfect. We walked everywhere. The White House was very clean and well stocked. The owner is responsive and helpful. I highly recommend. We will definitely stay again in two years when we return for the game.

RENTER BEWARE! We booked this house for 1 week 10/14/17 thru 10/19/17. We stayed one night only because we arrive very late. This house is not being kept up for what they are asking. The entrance doorknob literally almost fell off in our hands. My husband had to fix it. There is no iron, toaster, I would not use the coffee maker and there was not ONE wash cloth in the place to bathe with. Two stained hand towels . We had to run to the Walmart and buy wash cloths. We slept in the front bedroom which was a queen horrible bed where we could open the front windows because the mold smell was overwhelming even after airing the house out after we arrived. The next morning we packed and were forced to stay at a hotel for the remaining of our visit. The owners number is disconnected. He has not answered our emails and VRBO has not assisted us either or than telling me I could contact my attorney since the owner is not responding. We paid about $1,000 for ONE night and another $500. To stay in a hotel. No one should be subjected to mold! We are home now and the clothes we had out in the back bedroom without the window open still reeked of mold for one night even after being at the hotel. I don’t ever leave bad reviews. I just want to save someone else the headache we experienced. My husband has a lung disease possibly caused by mold, so there was no way we were staying another day. So a word of caution, BEWARE. We have not heard from the owner as of yet! This was a horrible experience and the fact that VRBO allows this to happen and allowing the owner to just literally steal your money, I don’t think we will be dealing with VRBO again ever.

Great experience staying here recently. Excellent location, and exactly as described. The owner promptly responded to my questions and everything was handled professionally. The house has a few quirks you would expect from an older home but it's perfect at this price, and location. Perfect for a family, with easy access to Dickson street, the University, and the downtown area. I plan on staying here again should circumstances bring me back to Fayetteville.

Very comfortable stay in a great Fayetteville location!

  • 4 of 5

Overall, it was great. Beds and other furniture were very comfortable. Could use better lighting in the main living area. The wood walls and ceiling make it darker. Bathroom served it's purpose, did have a broken handle on the door. We would choose this place again!
