Rust Pond is a small, beautiful lake in Wolfeboro. We are one hour north of the ocean and one hour south of the mountains- and we are in the heart of the lakes region! Our small private pond (it’s more of a small lake) empties into the big lake Winnepasaukee. Many visitors choose the quieter choice over the big lake because it’s so peaceful here! In the fall Wolfeboro is beautiful- and the drive up to the mountains is spectacular!!! We are also a great spot for skiers! Rust Pond is pristine- the water is crystal clear. We are renting out an apartment situated over a workshop/garage. There are two floors- the first is an open living room/kitchen with one bathroom. Upstairs is a one large room with two twin beds and one queen bed. The apartment sleeps four but if you choose to bring an air mattress it will sleep five. The owners home is down the hill- you will need to walk past the main home to get to the water.

Super Terrific Place
We spent 5 wonderful days at Jennifer's place .
The house is very clean and comfortable. The property is beautiful. I can't overstate how peaceful it is. The pond is quiet and surprisingly large. The water is warm and the kayaking, swimming, floating, is lots of fun.
Jennifer is a great host. She's friendly and cares to make sure that everything is ok.
The only problem is that I didn't want to leave!
This "Retreat in the Woods" was so peaceful and beautiful! The apartment was perfect, clean, & nicely decorated. It had everything we needed and lots of information about the surrounding area. Jen is the best host, so friendly and generous! She made us feel right at home. Would definitely stay there again!
The BEST rental experience!
This property was even better than described. So clean and organized. Jen went above and beyond the call of duty providing coffee, condiments and a perfectly stocked kitchen. I always travel with my own kitchen stuff, just in case, and the only thing I needed was my Nutri Bullett. A wonderful welcome binder with TONS of information about the town, excursions, shopping areas and what we needed to know about the house itself. I've never felt so comfortable away from home. We did take advantage of using their personal dock to swim in the crystal clear, sandy bottom Rust Pond, a stones throw from our place. Jen's children were super polite and delightful to chat with. Biscuit, their dog, was great as well, and played nicely with one of our little dogs. Jen had a dog water bowl all prepped with doggie treats to boot. We plan to return next season for sure!! I can't say enough good things about this place!
Having Raissa stay with us was like having a friend over for a visit! What wonderful people. The rental was left spotless. The communication was excellent. The observance of house rules was perfect. I hope to have her back again. The dogs were also darling and behaved. Such a sweet and genuine person and also super talented. Thank you!!!!
Wolfeboro is such a cute little town and is very dear to us. We try to do all of our business locally and we deeply care about our community. There is always so much to do here and something for everyone. The Country Bookseller is a wonderful cozy bookstore right in town at 23 North Main St. and enjoy coffee, pastries and gelato in The Book Nook Cafe. She is using the grant money to expand her young children and youth section. We have many museums in town! Here are some highlights: The Libby Museum is a natural history museum at the corner of New Hampshire Route 109 and Lang Pond Road in Wolfeboro It is owned by the town of Wolfeboro, and is open seasonally. We love the .Libby Museum on rainy days! Sometimes you can even take an art lesson there! The Libby Museum has a dug out canoe that was actually found in Rust Pond! You can also see a lot of animals local to this region.

The New Hampshire Boat Museum is an educational organization focusing on the boating heritage and life on the lakes and rivers of New Hampshire. The museum founders, all active in the “antique boat world”, felt that a museum focusing on the impact that recreational and commercial boating had on the development of the lakes and tourism in the Granite State would increase appreciation, awareness, and help preserve these vintage craft. • Check out a movie at the Villiage Theater, Great Water’s music festival, or play!
