About Grace N

I'm a proud owner of this condo, we bought it to spend a few months a year in our retirement. Over the years, we've made many improvements, from the basic builder's lightings to the appliances.

Why Grace N chose Canmore

It is in the best region of all Canada! with four seasons activities and all the conveniences yet remaining a hidden gem, away from the busy, noisy Banff but next to the National Parks! We can go north to Jasper, west to British Columbia (Vancouver), east to Calgary and the 'downtown' shopping or south to explore dinosaur fossils!

What makes this condo unique

Rustic style with peaceful ranges of mountains all around us! nearby paradise of lakes, pines, canyons, waterfalls! wildlife in abundance and yet, we're right at home with our fireplace and hot tub too! steps away from the main shopping area and Main St of Canmore. Pleasant walk to the Bow River, great relaxing stroll in the afternoon and Thurs Farmer Market!

Wish We Could Have Vacationed Longer at Gracie's Place!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at Gracie's Place! It was very comfortable, well stocked, nice and clean, and we felt right at home! She is a perfect host, very friendly, and easy to work with. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay for our Banff/Lake Louise/Jasper vacation. The drive to each of those locations from Canmore was absolutely breathtaking. Speaking of Canmore, it is a truly charming area that is worth a visit without going anywhere else. It is a town with a gorgeous mountain view, a beautiful trail - and lake, great restaurants, and lots of convenient amenities. We loved our stay and truly hope to be back! Thank you so much Gracie! <3

Very nice, roomy condo with everything you could wish for, great views, shops nearby.

  • 5 of 5

Gracie's place is very welcoming, roomy, and well appointed. It was much bigger than we had thought. The view is great and if there happen to be clouds, there is always Gracie's art on the walls, depicting the mountains! The beds are really nice. As for groceries, you only need to cross the street, and a few hundred metres the other way is very nice, bustling shopping street. The parking garage is roomy as well. The contact with the owner was very pleasant.

Bow Valley is beautiful, great for hikes and sightseeing, and Banff is less than 20 minutes away.

Thanks, Grace, we had a wonderful stay!

Great Condo, great location

  • 5 of 5

My family and I spent a week here in late August/early September and loved our stay. The condo is well appointed and located steps away from two grocery stores, a Starbucks, and downtown Canmore. Access was easy and secure through keypads, and the building was quiet and relaxing. The owners were very friendly, helpful, and responsive through the rental process as well. Canmore itself is a nice little mountain town away from the craziness and crowds of Banff, but within easy driving distance of anywhere you want to go. It was still lively, with good food and some fun shops, but great to escape to after a day spent fighting the crowds everywhere else. I would definitely stay here again.

Stay was great. Beautiful country.

  • 5 of 5

Property was good. Although foot board of master bed was cracked, towel rack in bathroom in hallway was loose and came out of wall. Living room carpet was not very clean.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review. I responded to all this in an email to you already. Our housekeeping staff oversaw the maintenance of the place and took immediate action to correct the towel rack; the carpet is steam-cleaned on schedule. The bed functions regardless and I'm happy to no other guests have had any issues. We'll clean the carpet again just to be sure. Many thanks for bringing these up to my attention!

Generously equipped apartment in gorgeous Canmore

  • 5 of 5

This is a very well equipped, comfortable apartment in a beautiful town. Clean and spacious, there are two good double bedrooms with lots of storage space. There are wonderful views of the surrounding mountains from all the rooms. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything needed for self catering. There is a comfortable TV/ dining area and a separate laundry. A designated underground parking space made life easy. Although we didn't have time to make use of it, there is an attractive hot tub in the building.

We loved the area - surrounded from every angle by beautiful mountains with walking and cycling trails to enjoy them. A 20 -minute drive from Banff but so much nicer. Canmore feels like a real town - no endless tourist shops. We were very grateful that we had been unable to find accommodation there! The town has lots of interesting cafes and restaurants. Food shopping was easy too - a 3-minute walk to Safeway. Lake Louise is a 50-minute drive and Calgary 90 minutes.

Canmore is a great base for exploring this part of the Rockies. It is a gem of a town and offers much itself - one of our highlights was hiring bikes from Rebound and cycling the river trail to Three Sisters village, stopping for a welcome snack at the bistro. I also had two good massage treatments at Mindful Massage Therapy in 10th Street.

Grace was very friendly, quick to respond to all communications and was very helpful throughout. We also enjoyed her art work which sets off the apartment. We loved the area and the apartment and will definitely be back!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your positive remarks! I'm happy you had an enjoyable time in Canmore. It is indeed such a lovely, cozy town. The Rockies with a vast National Park of Banff region everything is a "distance" away (to lakes, ski resorts etc.) so it's nice to have a few essentials stores and foodie places nearby. Canmore is a good base to go west (BC) north (Jasper) and south (Kananaskis) or yes, back east, Calgary and the airport. It's great to hear you explored bike trails, even residential areas in Canmore is worth to see, and you got good pampering at the spas, too! bravos! Hope you will come back! I'm there every summer and still haven't discovered half of it! Take care and I apprec you taking the time to write the detailed review!

Grace's Place is the place to stay.

  • 5 of 5

I would highly recommend this great condo as a place to take your vacation near Banff National Park. We had a great 5 nights at Graces Place and superb days exploring the amazing scenery in the area. We even saw a bear on our first trip! The condo is clean, comfortable and we immediately felt at home. The location is perfect with shops and restaurants all within walking distance and just a few minutes drive from the entrance to Banff. Grace was very helpful in the preparations with some great tips on places to visit, directions and instructions were clear and precise, and she always responded to any questions quickly and with a great personal touch. Thanks Grace!
