Villa Ever Summer is a 2 bedroom villa overlooking Orient Beach and the dotted islands, bays and mangrove of the St. Martin Reserve Naturelle. This is a view with no public access; it's only accessible from the homes on the hill. Enjoy this ocean view in many hues of green and blue surrounded by the rolling hills of both Dutch and French sides, nearby several magnificent beaches and restaurants, including one-of-a-kind Pinel island.
The villa is located in the 24/7 gated community at the very summit of the Vistas in Oyster Pond Estates. Ever Summer is a designer's home. Art abounds from every viewpoint. Every comfort of home is here, including air conditioning, fiber optics WIFI, 60" flat screen and man cave with 75" tv. On the 1500 sq ft patio, the hilltop breeze is constantly wafting for an experience of luxurious oxygenation. Yes, Ever Summer offers many unique luxuries.
There are 6 lovable cats on the property which may visit through one of their several cat doors, so cat lovers are appreciated. They are beautiful and comprise an integral part of the decor. During your stay, we ask if you can give them a daily ration of cat food. Cat lovers will really enjoy the feline company. The cats are all rescues. 2 of them are Siamese from Canada and the others came from around the villa. They use their several cat doors to come in to eat and go back out. Sometimes they sleep on the house or porch floors. They're very friendly if they take a liking to you, although shy at first. If necessary we top up their bowl of dry food every morning, and give them a can of wet food later in the day. We also change their water bowl daily.
Nearby beaches include Pinel Island, Palm Beach at Orient Bay, Le Galion, Anse Marcel and Grand Case. Other beautiful beaches include Mullet Bay, Rouge Beach, Plum Bay, Karakter at Simpson Bay beach and Sunset Beach bar.
Bamboo Bernie- Japanese Sushi at Maho beach resort. There's a nice lounge upstairs called the Buddha Lounge.
Bajatzu- really good steak house also at Maho beach resort
Loterie Farm at Peak Paradis
Grand Case- Le Pressoir and Cottage, upscale french dining experiences.
Marigot Marina - Cafe de Paris, good food, fun staff, nice marina setting.
Concerning the route to get here, I do offer detailed instructions to ensure you can find us. A compact car can climb the hill well in low gear.
Oyster Pond Estates is the most upscale area on the Dutch side of the island.

I am an interior designer and furniture retailer, representing an exclusive array of American brands. My husband Juny and I built this house to capture the views from all angles in spacious, relaxed, open spaces, including North American comforts.
Catherine Brown purchased this villa in 2011
Oyster Pond Estates is the most beautiful gated community in St. Maarten. Villa Ever Summer sits at the very top, on the Americanized Dutch side with a view over the pristine, less developed French side: the best of both worlds!
I've traveled all over the world with my late husband, Don Alias, percussionist with Miles Davis and other jazz luminaries. I chose to settle in St. Maarten for its great weather, open spaces, fabulous beach experience, clean air and water, beauty everywhere, while conserving the amenities of an American lifestyle. Especially when I have to leave the island, I realize how much St. Maarten is synonymous with luxurious living.
Breezy oxygenation straight from the ocean, but not so close to the sea that we're invaded by salt air, brine, humidity and constant wave noise. One of a kind furnishings and art. Wide open spaces, very large master bedroom and bathroom. Indoor and outdoor dining areas. In two words: a dream home.
We had a wonderful stay at Ever Summer! The place was exactly as advertised! Our suite was just what we needed for our mini vacation. The views are breathtaking and we always enjoyed our breakfasts on the deck! Catherine was a wonderful host and provided us with great recommendations of what to do on the Island. The atmosphere is very welcoming and it felt like we were more than just guests. Thanks so much, Catherine! We hope to see you again!

The views, the breeze, the pool and the solitude make this villa a real gem. Nothing like sliding out of bed, slipping into the pool, and sipping coffee.
Catherine and Junie met us at the home and were so welcoming and hospitable. Catherine answered any questions about her home and theical area.
This place is COMPLETELY private. You can see the cars on the roads below but can't hear them. You are so far up in the hills it is unreal. We had no problem with the drive. We always rent the smallest cars. Steep road up but a lovely drive. We saw iguanas roadside each drive up and down and even saw a Vervet Monkey cross the street once.
Some evenings we slept in the main floor suite, lulled to sleep by the breezes and waking to the ever present views of Anguilla Island, Oyster Pond, Le Galion and Orient Beaches. The main, second floor (the floor on which you park and enter the villa), is not air conditioned. Don't need it. Screened windows completely cover the north and east sides of this place, allowing constant air flow as well as almost 180 degree views. A couple of nights we slept in the lower floor's suite. This area is completely air conditioned and has its own en suite master bath.
The outdoor veranda which encloses the villa on three sides is about 1500 square feet of space, almost all shaded except for the outdoor shower, which was the only one I used. (Two more inside). Very nice lounge chairs and other furnishings on which to laze inside and out.
We very much enjoyed the kitties. They live on and in the property and are completely treated for fleas, heart worms, etc. We were adopted as their parents during our stay. Very little care was needed in exchange for their care of us. They definitely add to the design of this home. They know it too!
Catherine offered us use of anything in her pantry and fridge. I'm a foodie and the kitchen while lovely in design was adequately stocked with cutlery and appliances for almost anything I wanted to whip up. Didn't spend too much time in the kitchen except for coffee making and wine chilling.
We really miss the view and the quiet back here in Atlanta.
This is a truly exquisite villa...the views, the location, the pool! Easy to reach Grand Case for great French food or Phillipsburg or Marigot for shopping. Fine beach 3 minutes drive, so its easy to split the day between the infinity pool with a spectacular view and the warm, gently rolling waves. The cats are sweet and no problem. Not for those with children, but truly an adult paradise! Loved our time at Forever Summer! carol and bill
It's hard to imagine a more beautifully designed home with such sweeping views of the hillside and ocean. My husband and sister and I stayed at "Ever Summer" for the week of Christmas/New Years. The weather was perfect, and the breezes that flowed through the house kept the temperature comfortable, day and night, without a thought of air conditioning. We didn't use the pool only because my husband prefers to snorkel and the pool's temperature was a little cool. It didn't matter - the view over the side of the infinity pool was beautiful. The rooms and terraces were spacious and well appointed.
The location of the house - Oyster Pond Estates - is very well situated. All the surrounding homes are gorgeous. Since the house is at the top of a hill it is a steep drive up and down, but that's what makes for the fantastic views, and our little rental car was fine.
Catherine was very communicative with us and quickly responsive to questions that arose during the week. I'm sorry we didn't meet in person, but we still felt that we were treated very well and professionally, from the initial planning of the trip to our departure.
Here are some minor details that didn't interfere at all with our enjoyment, but we thought might be of concern to others. The stairway leading from the first floor (where there is the second bedroom) is accessed through a large opening in the top floor (where the living room, kitchen, and master bedroom are). Walking by it is disconcerting because there is no railing surrounding the opening, which is flush with the floor, so this would not be a good house for a family with small children or adults with vertigo, balance, or sleepwalking issues. The kitchen was perfectly functional for our needs, but the dishwasher didn't work and there is no grill or microwave. (There is a convection oven which worked well, a stove top, and a toaster oven.) However, we found that St. Martin had the best food of all Caribbean Islands we have ever been to. Even the frozen food from the supermarket was better than anything we could cook ourselves, so it didn't matter to us. My sister did the dishes and said she didn't mind. There were some dogs living down the hill (owned privately we discovered, not wild) who barked a lot and sometimes woke us up.
That's it - again, the house and location were so fantastic none of these details impacted our trip.
The kitties were all delightful - each one of them clean and well behaved!
Wow,such an amazing vacation!! My family of three stayed at Katherine's beautiful home for about 2 weeks in July. I feel inclined to point out what might set apart this home from others: It's the screen doors!! I'm so happy we chose a home that didn't have an "indoor/outdoor living space"...without screen doors separating the spaces. Why? Because of mosquitoes. Anywhere you stay in St Martin will have these pests, so bring repellent, and I honestly do not recommend any house without screen doors!
Getting back to the house, it was perfect for us. My 8 year old grew quite attached to the kitty's, and actually cried when we left. They ignored us at first, but we eventually were able to charm them to enough to snuggle with them...well, at least a couple of 'em. :)
I loved how open this home is. I loved having our small family together in a huge, open space! We especially enjoyed the pool, and loved looking over the edge, into the views! The afternoon sun warms the pool so it feels like bath water. Also, it made a nice difference having an infinity pool, because it has a bit of a "deep end", so we were able to do somersaults in the water, and play easier.
The cool mountain breezes felt amazing, especially while sleeping at night, or enjoying the sunsets in the evenings.
Overall, I absolutely would recommend this home to anyone. No negatives whatsoever.
Thank you, Katherine!!
My wife and I enjoyed this wonderful house sitting near the top of Oyster Pond Estates. Security was never an issue and we felt very safe there as well as leaving our belongings while we were out traveling the island. The house is very open, there was never a need to think about running the air conditioning. The breezes passed through the screen doors and windows which was very refreshing, and a real treat. The house is very private and has 270° views. You can actually see all the way to Orient Beach from the balcony. The location is very convenient to Phillipsburg, Marigot, the airport, in the northern part of the island. The house is very clean and well decorated. The owner has five or six cats that come and go as they please. They seem to be all rescued and are quite clean and fun to have around. They were no trouble at all only amusing.
This is the third house my wife and I have rented in Saint Maarten and definitely our favorite.
