About Kelly Laughlin
I grew up in Dunwoody, Georgia and attended to Dunwoody High School. After graduation I went to Auburn University (War Eagle!). I have worked in healthcare marketing for the 20 years and reside in Johns Creek with my husband and three children. Some of my favorite things include road trips, laughter, family, good music and movies, new places, familiar spaces, animals, nature the sunrise and the sun when it sets, theatre, dinner parties, college sports, planning events, engaging books, encouraging words, old hymns and steadfast friends.
Kelly Laughlin purchased this House in 2011

We love the mountains of Big Canoe. This house and the gorgeous views provide a sense of great peace and gratitude for God's creation. We love sharing the home with our guests.

Great writers retreat!
I visited the house with as part of a group of 16 Atlanta authors and writers. We had a wonderful time and a great writing retreat. Thank you Kelly, for all your hospitality!
I am so glad your group was able to come and enjoy beautiful Big Canoe. I hope you all had a relaxing time and that you all were inspired by the beauty of the mountains. Please come visit again!
Amazing view, wonderful place to stay!!
Really great property. Kelly was awesome!
So glad you came. We hope you will return and visit beautiful Big Canoe again. I was happy to help. Thanks for the encouragement!
The house and property manager were excellent! The view from the house is worth the drive up the mountain. We stayed at this house while my daughter was getting married at The Chimney’s. We wanted a place big enough for my immediate family. It worked out wonderfully. We had an issue during the initial reservation which showed the house in a different location. The property manager worked to get it corrected right away.
Worth the drive! Beautiful home in a wonderful location!
Our family gathered from all over for our annual family reunion. This was by far the most comfortable home for a large group that we have visited. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out or gather together and lots of things to do in the house and the community. The drive up to the property is steep and twisty but the view is worth it. We spent many hours on the decks soaking it in. The kids loved having their own space in the loft bedroom. The kitchen is spacious and we were able to seat everyone for meals between the two tables.
We visited the beach area twice and enjoyed all it had to offer. Everyone loved the variety of watercraft available to use and the rockslide was a fun and unique experience. We enjoyed several hikes in the area and were happy to find some wheelchair accessible trails. If you take the time to visit Amicalola Falls you won't be disappointed. There is a wheelchair accessible trail to the center of the falls and from there some of us hiked up and down the steps to the top and bottom. We also enjoyed lunch at the restaurant in the park which boasts another lovely view.
Kelly was very responsive to any needs we had during our stay making for a worry-free vacation. We hope to visit again someday!
The property is amazing and has all one needs for a relaxing mountain vacation.
