Peacful and quiet!!

  • 4 of 5

Our stay was wonderful. The cabin has the most relaxing back deck that has a wonderful view of the forest! Loved sitting out there in the morning listening and watching the birds and chipmunks. We brought a "baby" gate that worked perfect to block the stairs so we did not have to worry about our dog taking a stroll on his own. The kitchen had everything but a potato masher. I sure hope someone will have a chance to enjoy the chocolate ice cream I accidently left in the freezer. Another note is that there were no mosquitos!!!! We were thankful to have the air conditioning too as it was a warm weekend. Wonderful, relaxing few days! Thank you!!

Best home and away house ever

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in many vacation rentals. This was the best equipped house we have stayed in. Made our vacation a very enjoyable stay. Plan to come back sometime in the future.

Great cozy cabin

  • 5 of 5

Our time spent at this cabin was wonderful! It was perfect for what we needed. The loft was bigger than I expected. The AC was great for our summer trip! It was a short drive to Calaveras Big Trees, which was the reason for our trip. Couldn't be happier!

Great cabin

  • 4 of 5

This is a cute cabin. Only a few bad things. The one of the main roads when we got off of hwy 4 out. If we don't have GPS we would have been completely lost. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time, but it may have been a short notice road closure.

We fixed the kitchen light. The cabin had a lot of extra stuff in case things go out, that was nice.

The attic was cute with the three beds. Lots of space. The DVD player was broken, but there is a newer TV and it has a DVD player in the TV. The deck was so nice to be able to hang out and enjoy the quietness of the woods.

This place is perfect to get away from it all. It was so nice to be able to enjoy a cup of coffee and the quiet. And it snowed or last morning there. It was perfect area to play in the snow. The drive way is perfect for a snow sled and there was no traffic. Plus the snow plow came by before we needed to leave that day.

If there is one thing I would change is the dryer. My allergies were fine until I dried the sheets. Not sure if there is an airway to the outside for the dryer. If I new that I would have brought my allergy meds. It was our last morning there, so it didn't effect me that bad.

Over all it was a great stay! Thank you for letting us stay and enjoy the snow. It was the first time my husband and daughter saw snow fall.

Fun birthday weekend in the Chalet

  • 5 of 5

I wanted to have a fun getaway with my family for my birthday. I wasn't sure I could find a cabin since I had decided on doing the trip last minute. However, the owner's daughter was very pleasant to work with and helped me arrange things to make it possible. The chalet was more than adequate for my family of 5 that went on the trip and my little dog too. It was very comfortable and my dad even commented that he felt at home. The location feels quite private and there is a nice creek that runs behind the place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely want to come back. The entire process of renting the chalet was very smooth and our deposit was returned very quickly too. Thank you for everything!

Lovely family cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is just great! Our family of 4 (kids ages 9 and 11 plus two parents) had a wonderful time. The cabin layout is convenient and the loft is a great getaway area for kids. The cabin has everything you need, but not more than you need. You can tell it has been well appreciated and cared for. There are convenient hooks on cabin walls for winter gear, and all the basic necessities are there. I appreciated that there were sheets, toilet paper, paper towels, tissue, etc. We tried to honor that spirit by replenishing items that we used in the kitchen (e.g. ketchup, salt). There are plenty of decent cooking utensils, bowls, pans, etc., in the kitchen. We didn't get the enjoy the deck much but it would be great in the summer. The only thing I would change is to not use scented items (carpet/air freshener, candles, decor). I am sensitive. I put the candles in a closed bedroom bureau, and after a day or so, I didn't notice the scent anymore. Lovely cabin - thank you for a wonderful winter getaway! We loved it.
