Kamaole Sands is the premiere property in South Kihei. Located across the street from Kamaole Beach III. Whale watch, swim, and snorkel, walk miles on the beach and watch the most amazing sunsets imaginable. There are 15 acres of lush tropical landscaping, waterscapes, and fountains. In addition there is a large pool, two hot tubs, a toddler pool, 10 barbecue areas and tennis courts.

Kamaole Sands is centrally located and is in walking distance to shops, restaurants and activities. It is also minutes from the championship golf courses of Wailea and Makena.

** Important Painting Project Notice: Kamaole Sands Building 8 will undergo exterior painting between June 25 - August 3, 2018. Guests should expect scaffolding, power washing, possible paint fumes, and partially obstructed walkways during their stay, although not all at the same time. Ask about our painting project discount when making your reservation.**

Unit 8-110 is a ground floor one bedroom two bath unit with a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, high speed internet service, room AC in the living room and can sleep 2.

Please Note: The Kamaole Sands Resort charges a one-time $36.46 resort fee upon check-in. This fee includes use of all complex amenities, Wi-Fi, parking, etc. The resort fee is in addition to and separate from any charges quoted by Rentals Maui Inc.

This condo was a good location, BBQ was a few feet away which was really nice ,very private .Booking was easy,checking in and checkout went quick.The only down side would be the bedding was old and had stains on most of it luckily there was extra bedding to use. The bed was old and not very comfortable,the ensuite could be updated

Kamaole Sands is a nice and well-organized complex. It is 5-7 min walk to Kamaole Beach Park III, a pleasant stripe of beach that runs along the busy South Kihei Road. We found the beaches further south in the direction of Wailea and Makena much nicer, and they were easy to reach by car. Unit #8-110 does not face the beautifully landscaped grounds of the complex. It is located on the back of building #8 and has a small walkout patio that looks at a fence and a row of palms. The unit is shady and relatively quiet. You can hear the occasional vehicle passing on the other side of the fence on a road leading to a neighboring complex. The unit had everything we needed, but we found its overall shape and furnishings rather worn-out and calling for a renovation. The mattress, the carpets, the living room couch, etc., and of course the broken beach umbrella were long past retirement age. We didn't need the air conditioning, but I wouldn't count on it working properly on really hot days. The patio furniture is not very comfortable. I would recommend this unit only if its asking rate is substantively cheaper than others. We were happy with the services provided by Maui Vacation Rentals - reservation, check-in/out were no hassle. They did not do enough to fix a slow drain we complained about, but that was a minor problem. If you are interested in particular facilities of the complex, call them directly to get up-to-date information. We weren't informed that the tennis courts were closed for renovation and carried tennis racquets with us to no avail.

Good area, stale condo

We stayed 2 weeks at Kamaole in #8-110. We arrived late, 11pm. From entrance a smell of mold/stale confined space welcomed us. That was especially in the bedroom and on all blankets/bed covers. We washed them next day and it made our stay a bit better. An advise to the owners: The condo needs refreshed after every stay. One night my wife felt an itch and turned on the lights. There were 2 cockroaches on the bed sheet. I found a lot more near the entrance the next morning. South Kihei has at least 2 very nice beaches: Kamaole I and Kamaole III. Very convenient if you dont want to drive a lot after spending a few hours on the sand. Kamaole Sands is 10-15 minutes driving from Wailea and a few more minutes from Big Beach - very nice for sunsets. We spent however most of our days in Honokawai. We really liked the beaches there even though it ment almost an hour drive getting there. That is where we plan to go next time. Kihei South has a few food stores. We went to Safeway and FoodLand. You get charged 36 USD when you check in. This goes to the Property Management that maintains the whole resort. We only used the pool once so cant say too much about resort amenities.

The unit is a bit tired. For instance, ceiling fan in the living room wasn't working when we checked in.. a service tech came out, looked it over and decided the motor had burned out. It wasn't replaced by the time we left. The screen door doesn't latch, so if open for cross ventilation on a windy day, it creaks while moving back and forth. The unit is in building 8, which means the lanai looks out on 20 feet of lawn and a scrim of shrubbery. On the other side is the access road for the next door condos... it's like being near a quiet side street. I'd stay away from renting in buildings 8 and 9... the other buildings look out on nicely landscaped grounds.

Quiet, spacious and convenient to the beach. Grounds are well cared for and center courtyard is lovely! Parking space was a little far from our unit and the beach itself was more of a 15 minute walk than "across the street" but we did enjoy being there.
