Why Ari chose Lenox Hill
Location, location location... Only few blocks from Central Park, and near many museums, Lincoln Center and Times Square. The 4/5/6/Q subways (metro) are only few blocks away, so you can affordable travel anywhere in the city in less than 15 minutes (Times Square is only about a 5-minute subway ride away).
What makes this Apartment unique

Family of 4
Family of four stayed for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay including the neighborhood and proximity of park, shopping, food & drinks.
Cute and clean
It isn’t fancy but it is cute and clean and in a great neighborhood and it is a great price. My 14 year old daughter and I stayed for 8 days on a girls trip. We felt very safe. The apartment is 2 blocks from the subway but a long walk to Central Park (it looked closer on the map). We loved the corner family bodega. Family neighborhood
Wonderful apartment in upper east side!
My boyfriend and I stayed here with another couple and it was great! Location was exactly what we were looking for, near subways, coffee shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again! The owners were very helpful as well. We would recommend this to anyone staying in New York for a few days.
Great stay in NYC
You can't get a better location than upper east side. (We are ex New Yorkers. ) Easy access to everything, food, subway, walkable to Central Park-beautiful walk up same street 5 blocks to Park. Admire the handsome buildings. You can't get more authentic than this!
There were 3 of us in the apartment which was a little tight but overall this place worked out great. The neighborhood is wonderful and we walked in Central Park daily, ate at local restaurants and loved our stay.
You're paying for the location, not for comfort like being at home. 100% for college kids!
My perspective/needs/wants may differ from yours, but I hope my review will provide the information you need to make a decision to stay or not to stay...either way, you'll know what to expect if you do choose this VRBO.
-AWESOME, AWESOME location and area! We felt comfortable walking around during the day and late at night.
-Quiet street at night (for the big city).
-Local hotspot - Delizia Ristorante right around the corner is inexpensive fantastic pizza!
-Many great restaurants within walking distance.
-Subway is a short distance, so convenient! We used it for most of our transportation needs. It's beautiful and clean in this part of town!
-The elevator is very helpful!
-Great shower, hot and always refreshing.
-Close to Central Park.
-Great location for a landing pad at the end of a long day, but not a typical VRBO experience for us. You're paying for the location, not for comfort like being at home.
-We stayed for 7 days and were given 3 1/2 small rolls of toilet paper, and one small roll of paper towels (there's no dish towels). When asked if we could get two more rolls of TP we were told we had to purchase our own, not something you want to worry about while on a busy vacation.
-Furnished, supplied, & equipped with the bare minimum including quality.
-Very limited space/ storage. I understand this is the standard for NYC, but that doesn't make it better or more comfortable especially with the low quality items in the apartment. I would NOT suggest booking for large people or for more than two. My husband and I are smaller and felt crowded while trying to function in the apartment. Luckily we enjoy being close otherwise it could get annoying with someone you don't want to be on top of. There is a futon for a couch and technically two people could sleep on it, but I would not suggest it. -Bed/futon/linens are not very comfortable or of good quality, but would work if you were college kids just looking to crash on something other than the floor.
-Washing clothes - you have to purchase loads on a card that only the manager can do for you. She was not always "NYC quick" to respond.
-A list of simple instructions would be helpful, and would reduce wasted time contacting the manager and having to wait to hear back.
-It was clean at a minimum standard and smells heavily like cleaning products (like bleach & Fabuloso). Not good for those sensitive to smells.
-Neighbors were loud and you can hear EVERYTHING through the walls/floors/door.
Close to everything and Very safe day and night.
