Cozy spot on the West Shore - Dog friendly a bonus!

  • 4 of 5

Overall a nice little house for our family of four and one extra teen. Kitchen was fully functional and we prepared most all meals for the weekend. Propane grill in the back is older, but did the job. The house was nice and cool during a pretty warm weekend for Tahoe. Beds were all comfy. The owner has pets, but we brought our dog so all was good.

Flat screen TV worked just fine and the internet was steady. The owner was very helpful as we booked at the very last minute. You really can't beat the location as in my opinion the West Shore is the best! Overall, I would recommend this vacation rental.

Comfortable and good value

  • 5 of 5

This house was just what we needed for our young family and dog to take a ski vacation. Great open plan living, dining, kitchen area meant we could all hang out with the big stone fireplace and talk, play games, cook, watch videos. Well equipped with relaxed furnishings so we we could let our dog, 3 year old, and 6 year old feel at home. 3 good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms gave us plenty of room. We had a great time going on snow walks in the neighborhood, sledding at Granlibakken, walking the lake in Tahoe City, and first kids' ski school (and time for parent skiing) at Squaw.

Nice and Cozy

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was very nice and clean. Definitely a good family place. We stayed during President's Holiday with the intention of going to Homewood. Location is great as it is less than a 5 minute drive to there.

Wonderful stay during Christmas weekend !

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed out stay at this well equipped cabin - we would definitely come back and stay here next year. It is pretty good size for 2 families, in a quiet neighborhood and not very expensive. There was lot of snow (6 ft in one day) when we were there, kids could play at the backyard in snow. Chris's neighbors helped plow the snow with their snow plowing machine, otherwise it would have take a mammoth effort to take our cars out from the drive way! It would be a great place to visit in summer as well with a huge backyard and close to the lake. We loved the fire place in spacious living room. Cabin is in a convenient location close to ski resorts - home wood, alpine etc. There is also a grocery store very close by for daily needs.

Wonderful Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We went there this Xmas season and had a wonderful time. The owner was graciously accommodating for any special needs our group had and always responded in a timely manner. We have young kids (6yo and 7yo), and they loved living in the cabin; it's a whole new experience to them. The kids skied at Homewood resort. After three day lessons, they were able to ski green runs and easy blue runs.

Home wood resort is a perfect fit to us; it is very family friendly and have many fun runs to explore with. The view is gorgeous; I feel I was skiing into Lake Tahoe. We will for sure be come again!
