Description The Water View More than 1500 sq ft of balconies, patios, and decks bring the beautiful outdoors to with views of the Blue Atlantic and The inter-Coastal waterway, our oceanview house in St. Augustine. The whole 3rd floor is the master suite (with jetted tub), and 2 living spaces make the house ideal for big groups.

Sharing a swimming pool with just 3 other houses, The Waterview sits just a moment’s walk away from the beach and offers lovely ocean views from the 3rd floor deck. Here you can sit and overlook the lush native greenery while watching the sunlight play on the waves, the sound of the surf lulling you into total relaxation.

The second floor of The Waterview is the main living and dining area of the house, although there is a mini-kitchen and family room on the ground floor as well. In the great room, a large HDTV occupies one corner, surrounded by overstuffed couches and chairs. Windows and sliding glass doors are everywhere, bringing the outdoors into this lovely home. Coffered ceilings add a nice touch as well, lightening this airy space still further.

The dining room table is just adjacent to the great room, in a corner banked by windows. You may wind up taking many of your meals outdoors, but should you wish to assemble the group for a big dinner or other occasion, this is the place! The kitchen is alongside, spotlessly gleaming with full-sized appliances, well-stocked cabinets, and sliding glass doors out to the balcony.

A huge bedroom on the second floor comfortably sleeps 3 – perfect for a couple with a toddler or a group of kids. One king bed and a day bed becomes a single occupy a light, spacious room convenient to a full bathroom. But this is only one of four bedrooms – you have your choice of locations at The Waterview.

The third floor is the showpiece of the house, the master suite occupying the entire floor. Here you will find the best balcony views (as you might expect!), not to mention an ultra-comfortable king-sized bed, big overstuffed easy chair with matching ottoman (heaven for those marathon reading sessions late at night!), and a big master bath complete with a jetted soaking tub. Now, this is vacation living at its finest!

The first floor offers a second living space, complete with kitchenette, big sectional sofa and HDTV in the family room, and 2 bedrooms: 1 with 2 double beds, a TV, and en-suite bath – essentially another master suite! – and the other with 2 twins and a sofa bed, just crying out to become the kids’ clubhouse and inner sanctum! There’s even a sofa bed in case you need to sleep overnight guests or stage a “sleepover” for the kids in front of the big TV.

Another bathroom and a half-bath complete the accommodations, with towels and linens for every bath and bed in the house, of course.

The best thing about Four The Waterview – other than its unbelievable location, of course – is that it’s truly a family house. We have a laundry room with washer and dryer at your disposal. WiFi works throughout the house and in the outdoor spaces as well. A grill awaits your fresh-caught fish or hot dogs for the kids. Everywhere you turn is another nice patio space or little balcony from which to enjoy the sunrise, sunset, or simply the balmy Florida air.

Beautiful home. However, from check in on Saturday to late Wednesday afternoon with little to NO water pressure in the house. 4 bath house but only one person could bathe at a time. If someone was in the shower and another person flushed the commode the water would go to a trickle. Sunday morning we were told it was due to the hurricane last year and that the city was doing water work late in the evening. We were told that it should not happen again. That was not the case! A message was left Sunday night after the men returned from fishing...NO water for shower. The property manager said he contacted the city Monday morning and we would have water that evening. Again, NO water.

Once again the city was notified on Tuesday morning it took until Wednesday afternoon for them to fix it. A part of the fault is with the city. However, the workers stated the pipe was very corroded and had very little pressure. Once the meter was replaced and they scraped the pipe the pressure should return. It did. The property manager and Property Owners had to know this was an ongoing issue due to the amount of corrosion! This problem should have been fixed much sooner than our notification to them. For the fact we went 4 nights and 5 days of our 7 day stay without the primary staple of life, WATER, and we were inconvenienced having to wait all day Wednesday as someone had to be at the house, I requested a refund from the owners. My initial request at the time of the water problem went unanswered. It has been more than 10 days since I reached out to them with multiple emails going unanswered. I would not recommend staying at any of their properties!

Owner's Response: Please note the time frame in which this Guest is making their compliance; we first heard about it on Sunday evening and the owner's rep, between Sunday and Tuesday, had 4 conversations with the guests; the guests were not ignored. In fact the owner's rep received the first phone call on Sunday evening. His plumber was there the next day on Monday. The plumber indicated it was a problem outside of the house; the owner immediately called the local water sewer department and informed them of the problem; they said they would be out the same day on Monday, however, they indicated that because of a backup they didn't arrive until Tuesday. There was no way that the owners could have been aware of the problem, the pipe is underground. But in the final analysis this is about money and consideration that the guests wanted for the inconvenience. The inconvenience was beyond the control of the owner and management. But most importantly ,it was the nature of the request that was clearly unreasonable, the guests we're looking for essentially a free weeks’ vacation for a problem that the owner already incurred $150 plus in plumbing fees and for a problem that was beyond their control, we believe that request was unreasonable and the owners responded in a timely manner Thanks you

Great property perfect location

Family Reunion

We visit St. Augustine several times a year and decided to have a family reunion with our cousins from Nevada in St. Augustine. This rental was perfect for the thirteen of us. We never felt like we were crowded or on top of each other, everyone was comfortable. Everything was clean and in working order upon our arrival. With the very hot temperatures during the end of July the air conditioner worked like a CHARM, we stayed COOL while indoors!! Only one suggestion for the owners would be to supply a few more towels for your guest, especially if they are going to have a full house. We pretty much had one towel per person. We enjoyed having the pool available, however we did experience one late afternoon into the evening where several guests, in one of the other 2 houses that shares the pool, got out of hand. A chair was left in the hot tub and all other chairs where scattered around the pool area. We did notify our contact the next morning with pictures and later that day the pool area had been cleaned up. Kudos to our contact if you had anything to do with that! If you don't mind sharing your pool time then you'll be fine, however if you like privacy then you will probably not enjoy sharing the pool. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would stay at this rental again!!

Vacations should be Stress Free but this one was NOT!

We had a big issue with the condition of the stove. We rented a house for our family vacation specifically to cook our meals at home. When I arrived Tuesday 4pm, before I ever turned the stove on, I noticed the eyes on the stove had lost their support and they were concave. I called the number on the information check in sheet provided and reported the condition of the stove. All the signs and warnings posted around the house made me very nervous about being blamed for the condition of the stove. The lady was very nice and informed me that they were well aware of the condition of the stove and it was perfectly safe to use. I said OK, when we cooked dinner the stove had an odd plastic smell. The front eye did not work so I decided not to call again the next day.

The next morning we began to cook breakfast and the smell was back. The smell was going downstairs and it just permeated the house. I called Frank, the caretaker and asked him to please come by and look at what we were dealing with trying to cook meals. While cooking dinner that night my cousin heard popping and then the breaker went off for the kitchen. We went down and flipped the breaker and it flipped off again. Her husband looked under the cook top and there were fried wires. From this moment until we left, we kept the breaker for the oven and stove flipped off downstairs in the breaker box, unless we were using the oven.

Frank came he said yes the cook top was burned and that it needed to be replaced and he did not know if it would be shipped to him before we left. Basically we had no stove for cooking.

The reason we rented a house was to have the ability to cook meals as a family and we did not have this opportunity. We believe we should be compensated for the inconvenience and added costs for buying pots and cookie sheets as well as meals out. We have contacted the owners and have had no response.

For what we paid for the week we felt like could have run to the store and bought an oven and replaced it the very first day and we would have had the amenities that we were promised. Very very stressful few days and really disappointing.

FYI ... Not a cookie sheet in the house. We had to go to Publix and buy cookie sheets to cook some of the food on in the great for hot dogs!

PS. All the nonstick cookware is flaking and gets into your food. We went and bought a big pot from Publix on the very first night. Those flakes are carcinogenic and should not be ingested.

Owner's Response: Let me begin this response by indicating that every attempt is made to respond as quickly as possible to rectify any problems that may occur during a guests’ stay. As the guest indicated the owner's representative responded immediately to the problem. Frank was able to disengage the bad burner and activate the other three burners. Furthermore, he immediately ordered a new stove for the property. Unfortunately, the stove could not be delivered before departure. Frank met the guests, discussed the three burners working, they all seem to be happy with that situation. We also offered them the ability to eat out if they had felt uncomfortable with the stove and we would reimburse them for their expenses. We have asked for receipts and still have not received any. Unfortunately, the discussions between the parties were peppered with remarks regarding wanting consideration in a reduction of rent or some other consideration. But the lease is clear; you are going to occasionally have mechanical breakdowns on a property; all the owner can do is respond as quickly as possible; that was done in this case. The guest’s had the opportunity to use the majority of the stove top; they had the opportunity to get reimbursed for outside meals, but they appeared to have other expectations for considerations.
