This home was built by my parents in 1979 as a place to host friends and family during the 1980 Winter Olympics. The house was built with entertaining in mind. As such the very open floor plan allows for many people to enjoy each other's company with easy movement.
My children love coming here to meet with friends and family that live in the Adirondacks and the surrounding North Country/Vermont.
Elizabeth Lawrence Fredman purchased this chalet in 1998
As my parents aged our family still loved the Lake Placid Region thus I purchased the home.
My kids love to spend the winter holidays there. They also love the summer and the Scenic Railroad.
There are many families and friends that rent the house yearly and call it their home away from home.
The house is situated on one acre in a quiet residential neighborhood. This is not a "rental" neighborhood and is quiet, secure and safe for all ages. Just out the door you can take walks while enjoying little or no traffic and a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. There is ample porch area for dining and sunbathing. Off street parking and an attached garage make for easy loading and unloading of luggage, groceries and sporting goods. There is also plenty of driveway space for a boat/snowmobile/horse trailer.
