I just spent the first two weeks of August in this wonderful, low key, low maintenance abode with a clan of kids and step kids. The location is charming with easy bike ride to beaches in Bridgehampton , Wainscot and Watermill as well as in the opposite direction to delightful Sag Harbor.Starbucks and Pierre's Restaurant are only 3 blocks away as is the entire main village of Bridgehampton. I am an interior designer with picky tastes and I found the comfortable, clean, uncluttered environment (without God awful knicknacks about) complete with lovely backyard and pool the perfect escape from all our city hustle and bustle concerns. Good sheets, towels, dishes, books in bookshelves(I broke out the "Complete Works of Carl Jung"!),plenty of hangers, etc and in all the most logical places, too. Neeraj, the owner, is super friendly and easy going, as well, which added to our overall comfort. We LOVED our place.I don't even know why I am posting this because our review might make it hard to get next year! The beautiful beaches are just part of the attraction at this quiet, classy Hamptons community. Elegant Bridgehampton has antiques shops, art galleries, and restaurants in which you can sip wine made from locally grown grapes. This is also horse country, and in summer Bridgehampton hosts the prestigious annual Hampton Classic Horse Show and the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge. South of the village of Bridgehampton, running along the ocean, is the area called Sagaponack, a traditional agricultural community dating from 1656 and known for having some of the richest soil on Long Island. You can still buy outstanding local berries, vegetables, and flowers at the farm stands here.
