Capiteto Farm owned by the family Agnoloni is a small charming complex of buildings with apartments that is located in the hills of Chianti, only 8 km from Florence.
Capiteto Farm house is the ideal place for visiting Florence, while staying just outside the city, on the hills, to enjoy greater peace of mind (a bit away from the hubbub and traffic) to breathe 'improved' air and taste the flavors of the Tuscan countryside.
Podere Capiteto consists of 4 separated apartments, each one composed of a double bedroom, a full-equipped kitchen and one private bathroom and could host from 2 to 4 people. Apartments are provided with one sofa-bed and extra bed available on request.
The farm produces organic olive oil, a small amount of wine, fruit, vegetables and jams.
Swimming pool among olive trees and beautiful view of Florence. The owners provide guests with mountain bikes and are available to inform you of day trips to Florence and to small villages and castles in the Chianti region, far from the usual routes.
The chacteristc village of Impruneta (with its old town and its shops, traditional restaurants and historic buildings of brick) is just 2 km away and easily reached on foot or by bus.

We are Florentine, we traveled a lot and lived in Africa and South America to follow our father, an agronomist who has developed numerous international projects for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and FAO.
My sister lives in New York and Zurich, and my niece is American.
I am promoting the use of renewable energy in our country, particularly PV.
With the whole family, we run this little oasis on the outskirts of Florence, in particular with my mother, 'farmer' as always, excellent cook, but also a great woman engaged in social issues of our beautiful city of Florence.
At Capiteto we all come together with our own stories and those of our wonderful guests.
Anna Sadun purchased this apartment in 2000
Our family lived for generations in Florence, but we prefer to live in Impruneta, which is only 10 minutes from Florence but is quieter and less polluted.
Florence is just 8 km away.
From our property you can reach Florence by car (10 minutes) or bus (15 minutes).
The bus stop is 300 meters from our gate. It is very convenient.
From here we can quickly reach the most beautiful places of our Tuscany:
you can reach Siena by car in 30 minutes and 1 hour by bus. The same for Arezzo.
Pisa can be reached by car in 30 minutes and an hour by bus.
You can go to sea in 1 hour by car: Viareggio, Castiglione della Pescaia e Elba island.
You can get lost in the Chianti region to the discovery of small and unknown villages and restaurants.
Each apartment is very nice and furnished with personality, with objects of our history and our many trips.
The apartments are located within a 7-acre property completely fenced, where you can stroll and stop to read or have a drink in many small stations rich in poetry (near the old well, under a fig tree, in front to a small lake...). You might spot deer, roe deer, hares, porcupines, hedgehogs and pheasants. In the background you can see the wonderfull Florence...
My husband Bob and I didn't know what to expect when we got off the bus from Florence and didn't know where to turn. When we started down the lane, we realized we were entering a magical place. Anna greeted us by the door to the apartment and couldn't have been more welcoming. The apartment had wonderful spaces and ambiance. It included dishes, utensils and pots and pans to enable us to cook well as well as towels, blankets, etc. Even though it's modern and up to date including a washing machine, it has old world charm and it's roots go back a thousand years. Mario told us it used to be where they stored olives after the harvest. The village of Impruneta is a small bus ride away with nice restaurants, some shops, a beautifully restored church and a hidden supermarket! Once we stocked up on food from Impruneta we were able to sit quietly and have good meals. Spending time just wondering around the farm listening to birds and the breeze calmed weary travelers. Every time we looked around there was something to photograph or sketch. And the quiet at night even with rain was very soothing. Mario helped us negotiate the buses to Florence and Impruneta. Mario took us to the bus the last morning and waited with us for it to come. They were wonderful hosts and we would certainly stay there again. The only thing we regret is not bringing friends with us. Next time!
Our arrival was rather unpleasant. The bus driver let us off too early and we had to walk approx 1 mile in the pouring rain before we even reached the 1/3 mile walk to their drive way. The property was beautiful. The grounds were nice, however the website implies that the covered patio is available to sit and enjoy the outdoors, we were informed it is only for their friends and family. Even if no one is there. We never did find the washing machine while were there and were told we could use it "later". Wifi was available only in 1 apartment or if you sit on the steps of the office. The place is perfect if you do not plan on going into Florence very much. It is a long walk up a gravel road then a wait for the bus which stops running at 8pm. If you miss the last bus plan on spending around 50-60 Euro to get back to the villa. We were told on the morning that we were leaving a bus comes at 9:30. It doesn't come until 10:30. I supposed they wanted to make sure we were gone by 10:00. We had to wait on the extremely narrow road for 1.5 hours for the bus. Mario did however graciously drive our luggage up the hill for us upon our departure. I would recommend this if you want a secluded place away for the hustle and bustle of town. It isn't convenient if you are making it a base for day trips, as you will be stranded in town if your tour gets back after 8pm.
This was a wonderful place to stay. A great base from which to explore all the Tuscan hill towns. Mario and Lorenzo are great hosts and where a great source of information. The bus to Florence is a short walk from the house.
Italian and Tuscan typical products, nature walks, jogging, wildlife sightings, sightings of sunsets
These directions: If you are going to rent a car, we suggest to take highway A1 from the airport, in direction ROME and taking the exit FIRENZE IMPRUNETA. After that, take to TAVARNUZZE (about 2km), from there straight to IMPRUNETA and when you reach Impruneta, check for FLORENCE (Via Imprunetana) and after about 3km you will find on your left, VIA DI RIBOIA n*4.do not use the navigator because there indicates a road with a narrow passage that makes it very difficult to pass.
