Heck yeah 5 stars

We can't say enough good about our stay in this gorgeous place. The cabin is really a lovely sprawling home with a fabulous kitchen, wonderful bedrooms, fun-filled recreation room in the lower level, and a front porch that was made for relaxing in sight of mountains and meadows.

We went to Tennessee to see the solar eclipse and were wondering if we'd be able to find a good viewing spot in the very very crowded park. It turned out that the best view was right from the front porch and lawn at the cabin.

Getting to the park from Gatlinburg and Townsend is very easy but we also found a quiet back road into the park just a half mile from the cabin (take Lyon Springs Road - it goes right into the park!)

We had a splendid trip to the Smokies and this beautiful place made it so very special.

Pluses - lots of elbow room - we had 8 people staying and no issues with bathrooms and finding quiet nooks. The hot tub was delightfully soothing after long hiking days. Close to both the national park and the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge. The house was so tastefully decorated and appointed - it was clear it wasn't done on the cheap just to rent out. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities. And we were able to bring our dog at the last minute which was just a bonus.

Negatives - there really weren't any except that we wanted to stay for another month.

Will be booking here again...

  • 4 of 5

Very spacious, exceptionally clean property, with all of the needed amenities for a week's stay in the Smoky Mountains. Had plenty of space for us and our 4 kids. The only complaint and reason I provided a 4 v. 5 star review is the mattress quality was poor in one of the spare bedrooms, and in the pull out couch and the trundle bed in the basement. They are really bad, and I'd recommend bringing some blow up mattresses or some other solution to mitigate if the owners don't have plans in the near future to replace.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback on the cleanliness and comfort of our cabin. We really try our best to make the cabin a comfortable place. I’m sorry that the mattresses downstairs were not comfortable. After checking they were somewhat worn, so we have had all of them replaced. I don’t know which bed you are referring to upstairs as they are all high end mattresses and one of them less than a year old. We appreciate your suggestions and glad enjoyed your stay!

Best cabin we have ever rented!

  • 5 of 5

This place is great! We chose this Wears Valley cabin as our first non-hillside rental. What we came to realize was that this location is a great jumping off point to everywhere we wanted to go. Most cabins are convenient to somewhere, but this one was great no matter where we went. Cabin itself is excellent, clean and nicely appointed. It is supplied with just about everything you need. We WILL try to rent this one again. If you do stay here, we highly recommend eating at Elvira's Cafe on Wears Valley Road. We went for dinner our last night and regretted not going sooner.

The views of the mountains from the home’s front porch and walking through the neighborhood is unbelievable! It is the perfect little cozy cabin. The area is perfect, 10 minutes from Pigeon Forge and 30 mins from Gatlin burg. We hiked Metcalf Bottoms Trail, such a beautiful drive up that street to Gatlinburg btw! Must see. The house is extremely kid friendly. They had a pack n play, multiple booster high chair seats, gates. And lots of things to do, pac man game downstairs, hot tub outside, pool table, fireplace. Swinging wooden chair on porch, we just had the best time!! Was sad to leave, thank you Tammy for welcoming us and being so accommodating.

Wonderful Accommodations

  • 5 of 5

We chose this property in Wears Valley for an annual girls' weekend because of it's central location to Smoky Mountain National Park, Pigeon Forge and Gaitlinburg. The accommodations far exceeded our expectations. This property is large, clean, comfortable, well stocked with kitchen supplies and nice fluffy towels. The front porch is a nice relaxing place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. We did not get a chance to use the hot tub, pool table or gaming table, but were happy to have all available to us.
