About The Owner

We originally purchased our property in beautiful Port St Joe in 1992. After many years of enjoying camping vacations on the property with our growing children we decided it was time to build a more permanent vacation retreat. In 2005 we began construction on two homes on the property, one for our vacations and one to share with others. Although the area has grown in popularity, it continues to be a wonderful place to spend time with friends and family, whether we are enjoying the beach, the bay, the preserve that backs up to the property, or quiet time relaxing on the screened porches.

Why The Owner chose Florida Main North West

The properties along State Road 30 in Port St Joe were originally owned by the St Joe Timber Company as a resource for the now closed paper mill and for the production of turpentine. It was purchased by a developer for the purpose of housing around the perimeter and a private hunting preserve in the center of the property. In the early 2000's the preserve and the unsold lots were purchased by the state of Florida and are now protected as so. Because the preserve is protected wildlife remains plentiful in the area. Some of the animals that have been observed by residents are deer, wild hog, bear, and bald eagles. Although there is no hunting allowed in the State Preserve there are many hunting opportunities in the area.This area also lies in the path of the fall migration of monarch butterflies on their way to their winter home in South America.

What makes this house unique

The unique benefits of Treasure Bay House include it's location. There is easy access to all the boat ramps including Presnell's Marina, Indian Pass, Eagle Harbor and the public boat ramps in town. The wide paved driveway aids in easy off road parking for vehicles and boats.

For over 10 years my family has been having an annual scollop trip. This year we stayed at the treasure bay house and loved every minute of it. The house is in excellent condition and the owners are the best. All you need to bring is good and clothes everything else is there. Can't wait till next year!!!!

AWESOME place for a family scalloping trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Treasure Bay house. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We accidentally left behind a few things and they mailed them back to us! Lots of parking space and awesome porches to relax on!
