About Ed

I am a business man living in a small town in South Ga., Moultrie. I have been in business for 30 years. This is my personal vacation home.

My family uses it quite often and we keep it emaculately clean, neat, and ready for your enjoyment.

Ed purchased this house in 2007

Why Ed chose Amelia Island

This is an awesome spot for quiet relaxation, with access within a few minutes of any activities you may enyoy on the island and or in town. A1A Historical beach drive south thru 3 of the most beautiful State Parks and fishing Bridge that stretch 4 blocks from the house to 12 miles to a Ferry that continues your way to Jacksonville and its Shopping meca The St Johns Town Center or any of Jville's other entertainment spots including Civic Center and Pro Sports, Concerts etc. And just a few more miles south, Ponte Vedra and St. Augustine, Florida, one of our country's oldest settlements. Historical Fort Clinch on the Island, great shops and restaurants in Island town Fernandina. Fishing, Boating, Water Sports, Sight seeing by boat to Cumberland Island where wild horses roam free and historical Kennedy Wedding spot. Golf galore. Its all here and easy to access.

What makes this house unique

In the trees but only steps away from the beach.

Beautiful

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely time. Our family enjoyed our time at Ed's home. It is a beautiful place. It was our first time to the Atlantic side. We really enjoyed the beach the people the food and my favorite was Amelia Island Coffee shop...We will definitely be back sometime in the future. Thanks for sharing your home.

Not a good experience!

  • 1 of 5

As much as I hate to give bad reviews, I will have to do this one, hoping that the owner will do something to improve future guests' experience. Ed, was very unresponsive. When I booked, he had 24 h to approve the payment, but he did not do that the first time. He could have missed this opportunity just because of his lack or responsiveness. House was not necessarily very dirty, but extremely old and rusty, moldy. We found pubic hair in the shower, mold on the ceilings, rust on the carpet, sticky doors and cabinets. The furniture was old and the drawers were dangerous to use because they were so broken. NO WI-FI also, in this era i did not think that was possible! The distance from Jacksonville to the house is listed as 15 miles, but actually is almost 28 miles. From the garage in the house there is only one fragile door with a window (that does not lock), therefore we DID NOT FEEL SAFE! If someone would open the garage door (just from lifting it), they could have easily entered into the house. I took pictures of everything but i don't see where I can upload them here. Ed, you need to update your house completely, not just to make money off people like that. The "perfect" review you have, I am sure are from friends and families. They don't have the full names and the dates are kind of close to each other. If I knew it will be so dirty and unsafe in there, I would have rented hotels rooms.

Very clean and bugless

  • 5 of 5

Ed's house was very nice! Very clean and no bugs! Freezer kept ice cream soft and developed some frost in the back. Toilets (esp. the master bath)were loose to the floor. Could not get DVD player to work. Overall a wonderful place. Would defiantly rent it again.

Quiet, Peaceful, Gated Community on Amelia Island Beach

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our visit to Amelia Island & Fernandina. Great restaurants, shops, beach, etc. Property is located in a very convenient area--close to the beach, lovely historic Fernandina Beach, grocery stores, etc. The house is very well maintained and is in a quiet and peaceful gated community. Enjoyed the screened-in porch, grilling out, and relaxing. Loved it all! Would definitely recommend to anyone.
