We are one of the few (if not only) Puu Poa residences with designer furniture throughout. We do not just select any condo rental package, these selections are high end designer made pieces anyone would love to have in their own home (think McGuire).
All furniture was selected from from C.S. Woo, Honolulu, or Aspire, the premier providers of high end furnishings. We also had new HORIZONS Blinds installed on all bedroom windows, added accent pieces throughout, and one very LARGE custom designed area rug for the living room. It gets better, with recent improvements to the bathrooms including cherry cabinetry, slab Italian Calacutta Marble counters, Hansgrohe fixtures, and Toto toilets.

Our Pu'u Poa residence is a luxurious two-bedroom oceanfront condominium with large windows and generous lanais from which to enjoy spectacular whitewater views. With elegant interiors and the most modern conveniences, you can enjoy a uniquely designed and decorated home, along with the personal touches you expect.
At nearly 2000 square feet (interior and lanais), this condominium is furnished to reflect the island’s casual yet elegant atmosphere. The fully-equipped kitchen has recently been updated with new cabinetry, granite counters, and appliances. Mattresses are top of the line, with Italian Estate Sateen sheets. Baths have Egyptian Cotton towels and we have provided plush spa robes for your use while a guest. Laundry options include a full-sized Samsung front loading washer and dryer.
We provide the same amenities (towels, sheets, shampoo, soaps) in our condo which we use in our home.
Art and island décor selected during travels throughout Hawaii and the Pacific Rim are displayed to ensure your vacation will be memorable and spectacular. For those with technical needs, two high speed (secured) Internet options are available for contact with the rest of the world.
Just below Pu’u Poa is “Hideaways Beach”. You can hike down a short, but steep, trail to the base of the ocean bluff and find this secluded beach with unparalleled views of Bali Hai.
Spectacular diving and coral reef snorkeling is found in these parts as the gentle waves provide for a host of coral and marine life unsustainable in other parts of the world.

Our cancellation policy is you will receive a 100 percent refund for all reservations cancelled within 90 days of arrival - less credit card processing fees and any other VRBO fees that the owner is charged. This policy supersedes any other listed policy in this listing. Unfortunately the HomeAway system does not offer in their listing setup a 90 day option, so you will see a statement that says there is no refund. Again, that is NOT our policy. This is also stated in our attached rental agreement.

Clean Property in a decent location
This condo looks like it was developed in the 80's and has been well maintained, but still looks like an 80's condo. They have updated with new sinks/faucets and appliances which is nice. The condo is very clean, but there are signs of wear and tear for sure. The lanai's pictured are actually right next to each other, from the pictures we assumed that the master bedroom was upstairs and there was lanai up and down, but the unit with the 2 bedrooms is all on one floor. So there is a wall between the 2 lanai's which is kind of strange, but it effects the view a bit. We had absolutely terrible weather, so did not even get to sit on the lanai. The washer/dryer in the second bathroom was nice to use and the towels and beach toys in the closet are an added plus. We did not use the pool, there was yellow tape around it. The little beach down below the condos is pretty treacherous to get to. It has apparently been raining for months, so everything is muddy and you you have to hold on to a rope to get down to the beach because the embankment is steep and slick. If carrying towels or other beach gear, you will need a back pack since you need to be hands free to get down and up. I wouldn't recommend if you have small children. The St. Regis is right next door which is nice, access to the St. Regis beach is a good 5 minute walk up and down a pretty long flight of stairs around the back of the hotel. You can also go to the Hanalei Bay resort for drinks/food - it is about a mile from the condo, but otherwise nothing is within walking distance, we drove everywhere. There is a nice little running path along the golf course. Princeville Center is about 2 miles away and there is a grocery store, a few restaurants and stores. We spent most of our time in Hanalei which is about 5-10 minutes up the road. The sound of the ocean waves was nice to hear at night and drowned out any noise from other condos. Kitchen is well equipped. The floors are all white tile which can be kind of slick if your feet are wet and makes it feel a little cold. I would recommend putting some sisal rugs around to warm it up a bit. The only other complaint I had is that the unit sleeps 4 and has 2 bed and 2 bath, but they charge you $100 for each person over 2 people staying in the condo. The cleaning fee is steep considering they asked that we start the laundry, dishwasher and take out all the trash before we left. So it comes out to more like $500/night including everything.
Beautiful condo with wonderful view
My husband and I recently stayed at this property for a week. It is exactly as pictured in the photos so you won’t be disappointed in how comfortable and clean it is. We had everything we needed for our stay. We had our coffee and light breakfast each morning and also cooked a few meals in the kitchen which was well equipped. We did take the hike down to the awesome beach below but did find it challenging for us! One real plus is that you have a washer and dryer so we were able to go back home with clean clothes, a real help. We would definitely stay at this beautiful condo again. We were able to visit some super nice beaches, visited a local farmers market, did some shopping and sightseeing. The Princeville market had a good variety of shops and we totally enjoyed the Italian restaurant there. We cannot say enough about our stay and our dealing with John. It was all we hoped for and I know others who stay will have the same wonderful experience. Thank you John!

Beautiful, well-equipped condo
My family (wife, two college-age sons) recently stayed at this beautiful unit. John (owner) was extremely responsive and helpful. He even set up a separate "aero bed" for one of my sons. The unit itself is beautiful but I was most impressed with how well-equipped it is with "extras" (beach towels, books, snorkel gear, etc). These little extras are very thoughtful. Everything about this unit is beautiful and we'd stay here again.
This was our third stay at this condo and that says it all. Great location, beautifully appointed and well maintained! While we were disappointed the pool was undergoing renovations and unavailable during our stay... we definitely look forward to its improvements.
You really cannot go wrong renting this unit. The owner is very responsive and great to work with. We look forward to returning in the future.
After many years of staying on the south shore of Kauai, we decided to try the north side of the island. Pu’u Poa unit 203 was a delight. It is spotless, comfortable, and spacious. Since we like to cook many of our meals in rather than going out all the time, we found the kitchen to be well equipped and the gas grill on the lanai is an added bonus. While we were there, the waves were quite large. We enjoyed watching surfers on hydrofoils being towed into these waves right in front of the unit! The owners make you feel right at home and provided a vase filled with local flowers and, best of all, they provided a giant bowl of tropical fruit. Every morning, we started our day with fresh squeezed orange juice...THE BEST EVER! On one occasion, we had difficulty with a sliding glass door. The owner came right over and fixed it. He mentioned that a new door was on order and would be installed once it arrived. Over the years, we have stayed in many condos that did not live up to their description. We definitely will try to book this unit again next time we stay on the north shore. Mahalo.
Wonderful vacation in paradise with STUNNING ocean view! WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK!
This beautiful, spacious, condo made us feel right at home the minute we opened the door. It is decorated very nicely with everything you might need while staying at your "home away from home". The details and thoughtfulness of the owners was very evident. From the nicely stocked pantry, to the cooking utensils, outdoor grill, toiletries and even local soaps that were thoughtfully placed in the bathrooms, there wasn't anything that was missed. There was even an outdoor closet with beach chairs, snorkel gear, an ice chest and some beach toys. They provided a great environment to simply relax and enjoy the amazing view of the ocean down below.
There are two hikes to get to the beach. The easiest is to the left of the St. Regis hotel and down the steps. The other option is the trail in between the pool and the tennis courts. My husband and I are pretty good hikers, and it is quite a steep trail especially when it's wet, so be careful. However, the beach down below is definitely a treasure not to be missed.
The other benefit of this condo is the proximity to the Princeville Center that has a grocery store and some great little restaurants to eat lunch or dinner. We ate at Tiki Iniki twice for lunch, and the food was great!
We had a wonderful stay here, and John was very helpful with any questions I had. Between his initial communication and the manual inside, everything went smoothly. I hesitate writing such a great review because we are going to make this great find an annual trip now and I don't want it to get too booked up! Hahahaha! Enjoy this gem of a place.

Quoted Rates are for a party of 2 guests. Additional guests (max total 4 guests) are charged $25 each per stay plus additional $25 cleaning. Out-clean charges are $225.00 for 2 guests up to 13 day stays. $275 for stays in excess of 14 days. Our cancellation policy is 100% refund for changes prior to 90 days of arrival.
