Capital Condo is the perfect place from which to enjoy all the fun that Austin has to offer. It's sparkling clean, tastefully decorated and completely comfortable with two HDTVs*, free WiFi, a full bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a small dining area.

So Close to So Co: Capital Condo is one mile from the trendy SoCo area with more bars and restaurants than you can enjoy in several visits. Grab a quick bite at one of the trailer eateries or enjoy traditional dining at one of the many restaurants along South Congress. Enjoy some free live music in Guero's Oak Garden, have a cold one at the iconic Continental Club, eye the celebs at Joe's Hot Coffee, catch the game at Doc's Motor Works and experience pizza nirvana at Home Slice Pizza.

6th Street and the Warehouse District: Before there was So Co, there was 6th Street. It's still going strong and this traditional entertainment district has expanded over to the Warehouse District just a few blocks west. Capital Condo is just two miles south of downtown Austin, so on your way back from visiting our beautiful capital building check out ground zero for the Live Music Capital of the World. This is where the South by Southwest Music Festival takes place in March, but the rest of the year it's just the locals and their music- rock n roll, punk, indie, blues, heavy metal, jazz- it's all here for you to enjoy- if you can stay up that late. But there's plenty to see and do earlier as well, so put 6th Street and the Warehouse District on your list of things to do.

It's not just bars and restaurants: There's more to Austin than bars and restaurants, or so we've been told. Lady Bird Lake, the Hike and Bike trail, Butler Park, Zilker Park, Barton Springs pool and the Long Center for the Performing Arts are within three miles. St. Edward's University, the University of Texas, Zachary Scott Theater, Austin City Limits Moody Theater, the Blanton Museum, the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum and the Texas State Capital building are all very close. Capital Condo is your perfectly situated headquarters for enjoying it all.

* Please be advised that Capital Condo does not have cable television. The television in the living room has a digital antenna that receives about six channels and a Roku device on which Netflix, Amazon Prime video and many other streaming options are available. The television in the bedroom has a digital antenna only.

My family and I had the privilege to stay at this condo and can say that we really enjoyed ourselves. The condo was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. We felt right at home. We were able to use the kitchen space and had breakfast there for 9 people. Family enjoyed our time there. Sleeping accommodations were exceptional and very comfortable.The living room was also comfortable for unwinding at the end of a long day. The managers were contacted during our stay and prompt return call alleviated the issue. We would return to this condo in the future if we were to return to Austin. Many things to do and see in Austin and many things are easily accessible to the condo.

Great location, clean and well appointef

Very clean, well equipped and excellent location for downtown Austin, SOCO and I 35. You park car right outside unit. A car is definitely needed in Austin. Garbage truck comes around 3 or 4 am so beware. Quiet though can hear people in parking lot and upstairs. Would certainly recommend for visitors in Austin for pleasure or work.

A Good Home for an Austin Visit

This is not a luxury condo, but the title is an accurate description: comfortable, clean, and close to everything. The condo is near several major roads, but it is part of a garden apartment complex, so it is quiet. The owners have furnished the place well and taken good care of it. It felt very much like a home away from home. It is near enough to downtown that we could always find a route to things to do without having to get on the highways when they were backed up. We would rent this condo again if we go back to Austin.

Great location and incredibly comfortable for my biz trip

I was in town for a conference at the austin convention center. Super easy 10 minute commute from condo, it was well equipped, very clean and super comfortable. The owner is very responsive and gives a great list of local places to check out. I intend to stay there again when I attend my annual conference.

Very Clean, good location and great owner response

When I told Vivian this was our first trip to Austin, she sent us a very detailed list of local restaurants and things to do. The townhouse was so clean and is nicely furnished. No mismatched, family cast-off furnishings, kitchen-ware or linens. I was most impressed that she provided the incidentals I usually have to buy like coffee, filters and laundry soap. Safe location with security gate into property. Parking was conveniently right by the door. I used the community washer/dryer which was only 2 doors down and was very clean and easy. Close to everything we wanted to do, although not within walking distance, at least not for us. We would stay again. Thank you Vivian!
