We stayed here during Labor Day weekend of 2015. What wonderful hosts/people to work with. And the home: Oh my, you will not be disappointed, it's beautiful, spacious, cozy, comfy, clean, and so much more. This was the best vacation home rental we've ever had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend staying here. It's close enough to Co. Springs and the surrounding areas, and yet in a secluded location 'away from it all'. The views are just amazing. We hope we can have the privilege of staying here next year. Again, Carol and her daughter are also so easy to work with and so welcoming; just very nice, sweet gals.
Our family is spread out to California, Illinois and Missouri, so we figured Colorado would be a great central location to meet up for a few days of family fun. When I found this house, I didn't believe it could be as beautiful as the pictures, but it definitely is! It is so large and roomy, yet offers all the cozy comforts of home. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone. We had so much fun lounging on the recliners and watching the enormous television as well as cooking meals together in the huge kitchen. The town where this house is located is a little further outside Denver than I anticipated, but it was an easy drive on the highway. Although the area is very rural there are shopping centers nearby. Carol, the owner, was very friendly and helpful over the phone. She wanted to make sure the accommodations were just right and we had everything we needed. Her daughter met us and showed us around the house when we arrived.
Overall, I could not have asked for a better experience. This house is beautiful and a wonderful place to spend time in Colorado.
We used this home to house our family (8-10 adults and 3 small children) who were in town for a wedding in the Larkspur area. We had a rehearsal dinner at the house the evening before, and the house was perfect for entertaining a large crowd. The owners, Larry and Carol, are very helpful and gave us good directions to the house and close by amenities. They showed us how to work everything in the house and told us to call them if we needed help with anything. The house was very clean and welcoming and so were the owners!! The house looks just like the pictures and is so beautiful. The views are incredible. I wish we could have stayed longer.
The photos do not do this place justice. We had a party of 13, with kids, for a big family reunion, and the house and the owners where fantastic. Carol met us and showed us around the house and made us feel very welcome. The view off the back deck is great, the entertainment room was really cool and the kitchen is big and fun with lots of counter top seating. The house has a comfortable and spacious vibe to it. The kids loved watching the cows in the next field and walking around the big yard. We would definitely go back here again. Note: Google maps does not pin the right building, the house is just a little north of the structure pinned (as of this date anyway)
This house was perfect for a vacation away from the Texas heat. We didn't need the AC! We had 7 in our family, 1 teenage boy, 2 younger boys, and 4 adults. The view of Pike's Peak and the surrounding valley was beautiful. Carol met us when we arrived and showed us how everything worked. The location was perfect. We went to Coors Stadium in Denver for a baseball game. We visited the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and rafted in Canon City. We loved shopping in Manitou Springs. The kitchen and deck were so amazing that we ate our dinners at the house. The media room was our favorite room of the house. The boys enjoyed the basketball goal. We highly recommend this place. The boys said the only things that would make this place perfect would be 4-wheelers to ride, animals in the barn, and the hot tub!
