Grand Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This was a long weekend trip with my boyfriend, sister, and parents. This was my dad and step-mom's first time using VRBO...and they loved it! Being in a "home" made them more comfortable than they expected and they really enjoyed how the whole family was able to hang out and lounge on the couches and in the at home! I highly recommend this place for any family or groups of couples that are looking for a place close to the boats. The fenced in yard was perfect for the dogs (could be for kids too!). We rented a pontoon and walked to the dock from the house in just a few minutes. We also did some grocery shopping and my sister brought half-baked quiches which was great because the kitchen is roomy and easy to work in. Thank you for the great place to stay!

Great place to stay! Relaxing and loved the deck overlooking the lake!!

  • 5 of 5

Very clean when we arrived. Love the location and property. Having a fenced yard for the pups was a plus. Would stay there again. So many places are not geared towards couples and have only twin beds. This one worked perfectly for two couples and one single. Working with Maria on the rental was super easy!! Thanks!!

Incredible Vacation home right on the Bay

  • 5 of 5

This amazing vacation rental is exactly as the description states and has everything you could possibly need while on vacation. Donielle and Mike were very easy to work with and went above and beyond to help make this say memorable. We didn't realize we would be without cellphone access while hiking various waterfalls and Donielle was able to take the payment over the internet prior to us loosing service.

We had the pleasure to meet Mike in the evening and learned a lot of history about Munising and the surrounding areas. Be sure to rent a pontoon from Superior Pontoon Rentals - as the dock is right in front of this home.

Thanks for making the Surprise Engagement trip unforgettable with the beautiful home, hospitality, and late night cruise around the bay!

Awesome view of Munising Bay!!

  • 3 of 5

Munising Bay is beautiful and offers a wide variety of activities to pursue and enjoy during your visit. We were in "awe" of Lake Superior, Pictured Rocks, numerous waterfalls, nature trails, warm sandy beaches, brisk and refreshing swims, shipwreck tours, sunset cruises, hiking and biking, ETC! Needless to say, we came back to the rental property purely exhausted and appreciated all the home-away-from-home amenities that were available to us to relax and enjoy.

The local community was very friendly, hospitable and assisted in making our stay so nice. We liked the locally prepared food (e.g. smoked whitefish, pasties and pizza) that were conveniently available to us, when we opted to take a night off from cooking our family's favorite meals - in the generously stocked kitchen. The large deck off the front of the house was utilized plenty for grilling, playing games, and/or simply watching the boats, etc. coming and going from the great lake! If there was any questions, concerns or need, it was a comfort to connect to a "real" person on the other end of the phone number provided for us to use during our stay. Thanks, again!

Yes, definitely, we can wholeheartedly recommend this vacation rental property to others who wish to have a clean, spacious and comfortable house to stay in during their vacation to the U.P. Oh - and don't miss out on the "Rip Tide Ride" down the street - totally a B-L-A-S-T! Also, be sure to plan an afternoon at Sandy Pointe Beach - unbelievably beautiful!!
