Located in the Starland District, this lovely, two-story home has been completely renovated in 2002 into seperate upstairs/downstairs apartments.

Two unique bedrooms downstairs provide more than sufficient space for all of your needs. Two full baths, each with double sink vanities, provide all of the amenities of home. For the extended stay the washer and dryer allow you to bring only what you need. If you advise what you desire in the refrigerator we will attempt to ensure that it is waiting for you. All it requires is your presence.

UPstairs we have another apartment with 4 (four) beautiful bedrooms, diningroom, livingroom, 2 full bathrooms each with double vanities, a full kitchen and laundry room. One room even has a bunk bed with a double down and single up and a roll away cot.

Inquire about renting out both units for your wedding party, Girl Scout troop, bachlor/ette party, filming crew, or sports team.

Bachelor weekend stay

Not a bad place. The owner responds quickly and honestly to emails. I was worried about the neighborhood at first, especially when I saw the burned house across the street. The street was quiets the whole weekend I barely saw anyone outside anytime but there were plenty of cars. I can honestly say that I was pleasantly surprised when I walked inside of the unit. It is nicely decorated and styled. My only disappointment was that the sheets did not look clean, also I did not trust the way they were jammed in the closet. Kroger, Target & Walmart are within 15 min or less. He also offered an extra mattress in one of the rooms as an extra bed but it was rather dirty. I understand we were all guys but I wasn’t having that. Truthfully I did what I do in any rental, I wash the sheets/pillows myself so I know they are properly cleaned anyway. The pics are confusing because some were from the other apartment above. The bathrooms/kitchen were really nice. Honestly if you are looking for a place to relax and kick back this may not be the place for you. However if you need an affordable, decent, & clean place to sleep where you and all your friends can stay together then this is good spot. Douglas was great about everything and gave us what we needed!

Awesome stay in Savannah

Great place to stay. Close to everything and enough space to accommodate every one!! Owners were awesome and gave good recommendations on places to eat and things to do. I would definitely stay here again!!

4br Student Rental turned Vacation Rental

We contacted owner about 2br apt., & (mostly) had great communication. He let us know downstairs had been rented & offered us 4br upstairs, same location. I failed to ask for photos, going off of VRBO photos, which appear are a combination of both apts. Kitchen shown appears to be upstairs. It minimally met our needs. The apt. is spacious; we could easily see why it could be/was used as a student rental. My 18-year old loved it, and in the light of day, it had potential, so I get it. Neighborhood was definitely a mix, and on fringes of SCAD properties & some lower end neighbors. We liked that it was separate from the touristy area, but I wouldn't walk the dog after dark.

Positives: good communication to start, clear information on where to park & how to get in, given our late arrival. Apt. is 4br, seemingly appointed for college students - beds, bedding, furnishings all quite worn/used, there were holes in my bedsheets. The home is historic and has been kept up with some hardwood flooring in the hallways, stairs. It is solid, high ceilings.

Not-so-positives:owner did not reply when I texted on 1st night and shared worry about the sketchy neighborhood and whether our car would be safe He gave us tips on nearest dog park - AFTER we left. We drove to Daffin Park daily which is a nice dog park about 5 minutes away. The largest bed was a rock-hard piece of foam. Not useable, so my husband and I (& daughter) each had our own bedroom, given the bunk beds, twin beds, and single twin in the other rooms. Window coverings well worn and dated, some not in great working condition. Still preferable for us over a high-priced one room hotel, so it met our needs. I see some effort went in - the apt was clean, and there were towels to use. Dishes were sparse, no wine glasses. There was a Savannah brochure from 2008.

At best, I was disappointed, & we never ran into anyone downstairs. We were ultimately fine with the accommodations - still better than a hotel, and yet disappointed that we got no further response until I emailed when we left. With a little TLC, the apt could be a fabulous vacation rental, or left as is and rented to college students. Not both, other than for a large family/group wanting to stay in same location.

Suggestion: updated bed linens, window coverings, mattresses, recent area map or info on dog parks, nearby restaurants/owner's local favorites.

What a great time we had ...

What a great time we had and it started the moment we opened the door to our home away from home. Nicely appointed apartment that accomodated our family of four nicely. We plan on returning and will check availability here first. Only drawback was distance from historic Savannah. Too far to walk during winter months we were there, but summer would be fine. We'd bring our bikes! Thank you, thank you, thank you for such a lovely rental. We will be back!
