“Clean, great kitchen/dining area, amazing views, and spacious accommodations. The living room and game room have lovely log fireplaces and large picture windows. Everyone enjoyed using the well stocked game room (with bar area) and pool table. The house layout was fabulous for multiple parties/families. Facilities were well beyond our expectations. Furniture was large and plush. Beds and bedding were extremely comfortable and good quality. Consider taking the PETROGLYPH VALLEY TOUR while you’re here!
Petroglyph Valley is a unique point-of-interest, located nearby on a local working cattle ranch. Don will drive you and your party about 20 minutes south of our property, where he has exclusive access onto the ranch. The private tour includes both hiking and a fascinating bit of history. (This is not your common tourist destination, as it is not open to the general public.)
Arriving at the site, you will see an abundance of ancient petroglyphs carved into the stunning rock cliff formations. Many of the carvings predate the arrival of any white explorers or settlers. You’ll also hike to a location where Native American Indians (Yavapai Apache) crafted pottery pieces by hand, remnants of which still litter the canyon floor.
Also included is a moderate trek up onto a small mountain where you will see ancient stone ruins, some old abandoned ranch buildings and the popular, Musical Rocks. This incredible vantage point provides a panoramic view of the surrounding area.
As your guide, Don will give a running commentary on the history of the area. With any luck, you may see wild animals such as deer, elk, javelina, coyotes, antelope or wild burro on your journey!
$150 for up to 3 guests
$175 for 4 guests or more
(Payment is due at the time of the scheduled tour.)
The tour takes approximately 4 - 4.5 hours. Guests are expected to bring their own snacks and drinks.
This activity has been very popular with our travelers and a bonus highlight for many who’ve stayed with us!

About Don, Carolyn, and Nancy
My husband and I have been savoring the beauty of the Juniper Mountains since 2004. We've been renting both our home and guest cabin (431984) through VRBO for several years and enjoy a steady flow of guests from all over the world. We've just added a second cozy cabin (1157197) for a total of three distinct units! Each one of our properties is custom-built and the setting is amazing. We have four children, ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, who live somewhat scattered along the west side of the continent. Don and I live on the 80 acres nearby with our Border Collie mix, Roxy, and Papillon, Sam. Although we will both be here to greet you when you arrive for your stay, initial point of contact will be handled by our daughter, Nancy.
Don, Carolyn, and Nancy purchased this House in 2007
Why Don, Carolyn, and Nancy chose Seligman
It's a little piece of paradise. This property is peaceful, quiet, and away from it all, but centrally located to all the attractions.

The location is beautiful. I would highly recommend to anyone that wants to disconnect and spend quality family time. The house is loaded with everything you need. Just bring your family and clothes! It took us about 2 hours from Las Vegas and we drove to the Grand Canyon which was almost 3 hours but it was also due to spring break traffic.
We had an amazing time at the tumble rock ranch. I would def, return
Don and Carolyn were very gracious hosts to us. The ranch was as beautiful as the pictures and the area was beautiful. We were very close to the Grand Canyon , the caverns and red rock park. The ranch was incredibly warm and inviting and the night skies were amazing. This is definitely a stay I would make again.
Thank you Don for all the great conversations and direction.
David and family.
Thank you David and family for the very nice review. We enjoyed having you stay at the ranch and hope maybe you will comeback sometime!😊
Don and Carolyn
This is a lovely, well cared-for home. Don and Carolyn were gracious and accommodating hosts.
The house has every necessity imaginable, comfy beds & linens, thousands of DVDs, and a stunning view.
My children loved the pool table and games!
Grand Canyon South Rim is about a 2 hour drive. We enjoyed a day of ATV riding in Sedona, which was also about a 2 hour drive. Make sure you save time for some Route 66 nostalgia, including the Grand Canyon Caverns (30 minutes from the house).
We had a slight mishap at the house (our fault), and Don & Carolyn were so kind about it. We highly recommend staying at the Tumbling Rock Ranch !!!
Awsome stay in the big house
Together with 3 friends we had an awsome stay at the Tumbling Rock Ranch. Don was waiting for us at the Ranch, he showed us everything in- and outside the house. As you can see on the pictures, there is everything you need for a good stay. We spent most of our time at the poker table an the outside grill. Only the pool table would need a renovation.
Don was very friendly and always there to help us out.
Within 2 hours you can reach the Grand Canyon also Don offers private tours to native places on private ground.
We would always choose this vacation for a stay around Seligman.
Great get away.
Coming of a week trade show it was a great get away from everyone to cycle down. We went to the Grand Canyon and took the Personal tour that the owner gave us on the Working Ranch. We saw old Indian art and enjoying and nice hike. Climed some small cliffs and enjoyed some nice stories and history. 4hrs and enjoyed every minute.
Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home! It was so relaxing to stay on a ranch away from chaos. Don and Carolyn were very friendly and made sure we were comfortable!
