Ok but wouldnt stay again

  • 3 of 5

We had 7 adults, 1 teen, 1 infant, and small child who all stayed there. The company who rented it out was fab! The house was ehh. So, heres what you need to know, the bathroom on the main floor is not all ENCLOSED. There is a shower right next to a toilet and a sliding door, then sinks in the hall there. Theres no room to change in the bathroom so heads up. It wasnt a total deal breaker but my sister and brother (and his wife) would have liked to have not raced to the bedroom in a towel. Also, the bed downstairs is really high up off the ground. If your planning on putting a bunch of kids in that huge king bed, or you are short, bad idea. I was also bummed the maids forgot to take the towels out of the dryer so we had to take them out and fold them to use it to dry our beach towels. Also, there was kitchen soap, then wash clothes for dishes and like 1/4 of a green scrub pad. I find wash clothes disgusting. I highly recommend, bring something to scrub a dish clean. Here is why and this applies to all of the places, you can put things in the dishwasher but they want the other stuff washed and put away when you check out. Thats not a problem, super easy. However, people before us you could see just wiped off a pan and put it away, so wash whatever, and then use it. We found pots and pans caked in food leftovers, yummy. You might also want to know there are no blinds or drapes upstairs, so if you want to change in the room just strip in front of the neighbors. The sun also woke up my sisters kids as soon as it came up so window coverings would have been great. I should also note we all went to shower and after 3 of us for 6 min or less each, the water ran out. There needs to be another water heater, so shower quick and be prepared for cold and freezing cold showers. Other than that I had one major problem. There wasnt a mattress protector on the bed downstairs and if you look at those mattresses you will die. It is the worst looking stained thing I have ever seen. Like put one on there and then wash it after each stay. You have to take off the sheets and put them in the laundry room, but not the protectors. Like burn your clothes bad because its the worlds cheapest sheet between you and the fluid leaking, skin shedding, god knows what person and if there is a mattress protector its not been washed. The tv in the main room we couldnt find a dvd player, so that left 1 tv to watch movies on if you have kids. Hope this review helps.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Marina View Cabin! It was very convenient, being close to the lake and other downtown locations. It was very clean and well kept. Beautiful view of the lake. We also enjoyed an afternoon at the pool, and time at the tennis courts. We would definitely stay at this location again!

Marina View Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a few days with our family all under one roof. The accommodations were nice and clean and minor maintenance issues were taken care of quickly! The view was spectacular and we enjoyed seeing moose wander the neighborhood. Very close to lake, beach, and shopping in town and enjoyed a nice time at the pool. Nice deck for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view. We would recommend adding a blind to the upstairs bedroom since vehicle headlights shine in the window at night. Thanks for a great trip!

great stay

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. When I was looking for a place, I didn't want just a house but a place that had a more rustic, outdoors feel and this fit the bill. It was good for our young grandkids. When we ate as a group, it was nice to have the outside patio with picnic tables. The view of the lake was great and being right after memorial weekend, everything was pretty quiet, which we enjoyed. Management recommended North Beach for kids to play on as it is gradual in slope and not rocky. We rented the quad bikes at the KOA. The grandkids enjoyed running around the outside balcony as it surrounds most of the cabin and utilized the swimming pool. The property was well maintained and management answered all our questions when we checked in.
