Completely renovated 1890 stable in the heart of downtown Newport on Historic Hill. The non-smoking home is located just a few steps from Thames St., right near Bowen's Wharf -close to Newport's best shopping and restaurants. A great spot to take advantage of all Newport has to offer, and equally as enjoyable to stay in and relax!

First floor has expansive entertaining areas with modern kitchen and dining area to seat up to 12. Highlight is set of stable doors in living area that can be opened on top allowing fresh air and privacy. There are 2 bedrooms and completely renovated bathroom with radiant floor heat and adjacent washer/dryer.

Second floor has an additional living room and kitchen. There are three bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms and additional sink make-up areas. Outside has parking for up to 5 cars, patio with dining table, and grilling area that was renovated with built in gas grill.

About The Owner

Kristine has owned the property since 2005 and has lovingly continued to restore and modernize the property. The roof, chimney and windows were all replaced followed by complete renovation of all 4 bathrooms, installation of radiant heat in multiple rooms and recent overhaul of driveway, patio and gardens.

Perfect house/Perfect location

This was my first VRBO rental and I was needlessly worried about how this would be for my family. I shouldn't have been. The ease of booking and the seamless arrival process was so easy, I thought it was too good to be true. This house was felt like a home and really was perfect for my family. It was very comfortable, well equipped and super clean. The short walk to the waterfront and restaurants made it even better. I will be booking this home again. A huge thanks to the owner, Kristina for providing such a great place. The Prospect Hill House is now part of my family's special memories.

Great location in Newport. The house was large and easily fit our group, had ample common space, and great stable doors that could be open to let in the breeze. I would definitely stay here again.

Had such a great time here. Such a cool space and is right around the corner from everything! It was the perfect set up for the group of 8 we had for a wedding weekend. Would love to stay here again!

Amazing house, fantastic location

Ladies weekend getaway could not have been more perfect. Plenty of room for all of us and bathrooms have all been updated. House is very clean and beds comfortable. We walked to the cliff walk from the house. We could easily walk to restaurants also. We would definitely come back to this property.
