Completely renovated 1890 stable in the heart of downtown Newport on Historic Hill.

Upstairs apartment features three large bedrooms (two with queens, one with two twins), each room has a private bath, and an open floor plan with combined kitchen/living area. Brand new fully equipped kitchen, and parking for two cars.

Downstairs can be added with 2 additional bedrooms, parking for up to 5 cars, laundry and expansive entertaining areas. Great outdoor garden and grilling area that was just renovated with built in gas grill! The non-smoking home is located just a few steps from Thames St., right near Bowen's Wharf -close to Newport's best shopping and restaurants. A great spot to take advantage of all Newport has to offer, and equally as enjoyable to stay in and relax!

Why The Owner chose Rhode Island

Newport is easily accessible and always has something interesting going, film and food festivals, boat show, tennis and sailing tournaments. Restaurants are plentiful and diverse

What makes this house unique

The house has been renovated and updated yearly but maintains charm of its historic roots as stable. The location is on a one way, lightly travelled street yet is just a few minutes walk from the waterfront.

Beautiful Home! Perfect Location!

Stayed in Kristine's home recently with a group of 12 friends for a wedding near by. The house was perfectly maintained and the pictures do not do the space justice. We had plenty of room to sleep across 5 bedrooms and common areas to spend time together. The house is BEAUTIFUL! The house is walking distance to many of Newport's best spots which made our stay more enjoyable.

Kristine was honest, available, and more importantly reliable. I can not say enough nice things about the owner and the property! We will be back!

Great House for Newport Weekend

Stayed in the home recently and have nothing by great things to say. House is perfectly located 1/2 a block from Thames street, nearby all the great spots of downtown Newport, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and calm the house provides.

5 Full bedrooms across two floors. Plenty of bathrooms where all 5 couples had enough space to enjoy the weekend without feeling cramped.

Owner was honest, communicative, and reliable.

Recommend this house to anyone looking for a great alternative to the hotels in the area.

Great Home, But Owner Will Steal Your Deposit

Great home. Great location. Everything about the house was fantastic. Our group had a fantastic time... Until the owner stole half of our deposit.

This offer has a no smoking policy which our party happily respected. After the rental period we were told that the owner found a cigarette pack wrapper (the plastic) in a trashcan. She offered no picture proof which would be pretty important being that no one smoked in the property or on the premise per their request.

We even went so far as to clean up old cigarette butts in the yard that other parties had left (or passer-bys flicked onto the yard) to ensure that we would not have any issues.

Again, beautiful house but the owners have no morals and no issue with stealing your hard earned money in retaining the deposit.

If only VRBO gave me the option to give negative stars...

Owner's Response: "We had such an amazing time at your house over Memorial Day weekend we can't say enough about how awesome it was!" It was terrific to get such positive and immediate feedback from this guest. Unfortunately things turned sour when we enforced our no smoking policy. Given the risk with a historic property, we are especially strict. The cigarette pack wrapper left on bedroom floor was a red flag. The guest threatened to retaliate with a negative review if we didn't return the entire security deposit and that has now come to fruition. We hope that future guests will appreciate the quality of our property and need to protect it from smoking.

The Perfect Rental

The perfect house to enjoy everything Newport offers. The Open living space on the first floor is perfect for entertaining and the upstairs is nicely renovated.
