Fantastic cabin, perfect weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriends and I rented this cabin for a wedding weekend. The cabin is perfectly appointed, clean, and a great size. It was so relaxing to sit and listen to the rushing creek from the porch. There is a nice walking trail along the creek that you can access right from the driveway. I highly recommend this cabin and cant wait to stay here again!!

Also, communication with the manager was excellent and very easy to coordinate with for our stay.

Very comfortable, great location. Wonderful to listen to the river morning and night.

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful home, very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need and there is a great collection of DVDs and old books. The staff at Crane Creek Vineyards are phenomenal. They were very accommodating and flexible with my multiple requests and open to helping any way they could. Sitting on the porch with morning coffee listening to the river is a real treat. Lots of hiking trails and state parks around, within a 20 minute drive in all directions. Take 129 South through Cleveland and be sure to stop at Mountain Fresh Creamery - the best ice cream around!

FABULOUS MOUNTAIN RETREAT

  • 5 of 5

We found this cabin on the river and hoped it would be ok while in town to go visit University of N GA in Dahlonega. It was perfect! Loved the curvy mountain drive on the beautiful road leading to The River House! The steep driveway made us get out and scratch our heads before going down! HA! You can sit on the deck and here the river the entire time. We had a bonfire and made s'mores at the firepit area! My daughter enjoyed her college tour and we enjoyed the adventure we made out of the weekend even more! THANKS FOR A GREAT STAY!!! I've already recommended it to friends and we will definitely be back!

Memorial Day Weekend

  • 5 of 5

What a great cabin, with rushing waters literally right in your back yard! Very nice well appointed cabin with hiking trail along the creek that is steps from the cabin. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed and more. We grilled out, fished, hiked all right in our yard and we had short scenic drives to all the wineries and restaurants that we wanted to visit. We are already looking at renting the same place again soon!

A little disappointed

  • 3 of 5

The smell of sulfur was strong when you take a bath. The water came up out of the ground by the steps at the lower deck when you took a bath the smell was really bad. The downstairs was cold about 60 with the thermostat upstairs set at 70.

The location was or seemed to be the only house for rent all around the people lived there full time it was there home. Sorry but I think I would pick somewhere else if we decide to ever go back to area.

Wonderfully Relaxing and Beautiful Place

  • 5 of 5

My family had such a great time here! It was everything we wanted and in a perfect location (away from it all). We go every year to the surrounding area for trout fishing, it has been a family tradition since before I ever came along. This was our first time to stay here and it was central to everywhere we like to go. We hope to continue coming every year to The River House at the opening of trout season and hopefully more if we can get away from our busy reality. The home was beautifully decorated and the hot tub was nice to relax in with the wine that was left from Crane Creek Vineyards (which also tasted great!) I recommend The River House to anyone who enjoys the Dahlonega, Cleveland, and Helen area (all are convenient).
