Fabulous Find in Heart of Lucca!!
Adagio is a gem! Proprietor Liz is a lovely and helpful person as well as an especially skilled interior decorator - the apartment is filled with special touches and every convenience and amenity. The location is wonderful and during my two week visit, I felt like I had slipped into the life of a local. It was a magical stay and hope, hope, hope to return.
Lovely apartment in good area
Great location. A little small so be prepared but beautifully presented with fresh flowers, lovely soaps and luxury fittings Be warned shower is tiny. Could do with some tea cups as only very small coffee cups. Would definitely recommend. A lot of attention to detail
We were met by Liz who showed us around this small and well-appointed unit. Furnishings, decorations, bedding were all first class. Excellent restaurant suggestions were available to help us get oriented. A lovely cake and a bottle of wine were there as welcome treats
Quaint Apartment in Central Lucca
The apartment was very charming, well decorated and equipped with everything one would need. A welcome bottle of prosecco and tasty torte were welcome surprises from our host Liz which were much appreciated. The location was very central and close to our friends wedding venue and activities. We had asked Liz about the proximity of the apartment to these beforehand and she was very helpful in directing us to where we needed to be. She was very accommodating with the uncertainty of time of arrival because of flight time arrivals and traffic from Pisa to Lucca. We would highly recommend this apartment to friends and family in the future and we would like to wish Liz all the best. It was a very pleasurable overall experience from start to finish. As teachers we would give the apartment and Liz an A++++.
A bit disappointing...
We were a little disappointed with our stay. We knew the place was small but didn’t expect this small. The shower was so tiny you could hardly turn around and the water pressure was virtually non-existent.
The apartment was beautifully decorated but there was little room to put out our things we needed for our stay. The only place to put our bags so we could access them easily was on the lounge, it would be ok if you only had an overnight bag but we were on a 5 week holiday so we had quite large bags.
You could only watch TV if you have an Apple account which we didn’t have so we couldn’t watch anything.
The location of the apartment was great though, not far from restaurants, shopping and there is a bike hire shop a little way up the street.
It’s a nice apartment but I’d only recommend it for a weekend getaway or short stay, not for travellers who have a lot of luggage.
Stunning apartment in a beautiful city
We stayed for 3 nights early Jul to see the Roger Walters concert. An absolutely beautiful apartment within the City walls and close to everything. We didn't get to meet Liz but wished we had so that we could say how much we loved Adagio. The prosecco & cake on arrival were most welcome!! Ricardo in the wine shop downstairs under the apartment was a really lovely helpful man with a great selection of local wine :) The gig was all we expected it to be and being able to stroll along to the venue straight from the door was just great. Will look to see who are playing in Lucca next year & hope we will be able to book Adagio again.
