About the property

Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Our mountain retreat in the Shoshone Condo Hotel is nestled at the base of Lone Peak in the still-wild Northern Rocky Mountains, less that 1-hour's scenic drive from the Bozeman airport and historic district, old-west gold rush towns and Yellowstone Nat'l Park, where Old Faithful and the world's largest collection of Geysers is preserved. This wonderland is home to grizzly and black bears, wolves, herds of bison, elk and more.

Drive through the legendary Gallatin River Canyon, where 'The River Runs Through It' was filmed, to reach Big Sky, Montana, the perfect location for Rocky Mountain adventures.

Our Shoshone condo is a spacious, corner unit in the Shoshone Condominium Hotel in the Mountain Village of Big Sky Resort. You will ski in/out to the Biggest Skiing in America at 4,350 vertical ft and 3812 acres!

Our condo is very quiet and private with amazing views of Lone Peak and the Spanish Peaks from every room. Beehive Basin, a favorite trail for hiking, wildflowers, wildlife, and pristine alpine lakes is located in the Spanish Peaks caldera, viewed from the great room window.

Afternoon snowstorms or summer rain showers often bring rainbows arching above the valley and viewed from our great room window.

After a summer's day of hiking, fly fishing, white-water rafting, or a visit to Yellowstone National Park enjoy the farmers' market or free concerts in the Town Center. In winter, when the slopes close, soak in the heated outdoor pool and enjoy the lights and sounds of the Mountain Village night life.

The king-bedroom is private with a full private bath. The great room features 2 walls of windows providing sunrise and sunset views. The great room sleeps 4 with a queen sofa bed and queen Murphy bed that folds away easily. A second full bath is off the great room. The great room seats 6 comfortably with overstuffed sofa, chairs, and rocker. Both the bedroom and great room have flat screen TVs.

The full kitchen is well stocked with all appliances, cookware, dishes, glassware, silverware, and cleaning products! The dining area table seats 6.

All furnishings and artwork are new and in keeping with the Shoshone's name and Native American tribe that first inhabited this area.

The Shoshone is the closest lodging connected to the Yellowstone Conference Center in Big Sky's Mountain Village. In the Shoshone's lobby area you'll find the Conference Center entrance, concierge, restaurants, shops, the new and expanded Solace Spa and Salon , our private & staffed health club, ski locker room, theater and more. Walk to the mountain mall, BASECAMP activities, entertainment, and many dining options.

The indoor/out door pool and patio area are available year-round. Watch skiiers from the pool in winter, moose in summer.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I wanted to say thank you for allowing me to stay at your condo in Big Sky. Kisha and I had a fantastic time. We really enjoyed it….

We did several hikes and spent about 12 hours one day in Yellowstone. I am actually very glad we went in the summer. Weather was nice and it wasn’t too busy.

The food everywhere we went was fantastic. We also spent half a day in Bozeman, which is a cute little city.

The condo was awesome and it couldn’t be in a better location. I also thought the little big sky town center was perfect – what a great set up. We went to the movies one night there and loved the wine bar.

Thank you again for allowing us to stay in the condo. It was a great time!!

Absolutely loved this place!

Our family of 4 had a fabulous time here. So many things to do here with or without kids.

We would return again for sure. Great communication. Super easy directions/instructions from the owners. Thanks for allowing us to stay!!

Owner's Response: We love to hear from our guests, especially from families having their first experience in the wilds of the Greater Yellowstone Region. It's one thing to experience the world-renowned Big Sky terrain on the slopes, but experiencing a Big Sky summer & Yellowstone Nat'l Park for the first time, especially as a family, is awe inspiring. There is truly no place in the world like it. Add to that hiking in, or drive through, the Gallatin River Canyon, visited by Lewis and Clark; Big Sky Summer Concerts, Art Events, and Farmers Market; the Shoshone lap-sized pool and spa, and you're so right...couples nor families will ever get bored.

Wilderness Medicine Conference in Big Sky

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful condo with all the amenities! We loved our view of the mountains and thanks for the bear spray to bring on the trails!! There was a bear in the resort while walking the loop and we didn't think to bring the spray then.

We would return in a heartbeat.

Owner's Response: What better place for a Wilderness Conference? The Mountain Village at Big Sky fits the bill for viewing wildlife. So glad you took advantage of the bear spray. It's very expensive and isn't allowed on flights home so we're happy to make it available. We want your wildlife encounter to be memorable and safe. Hope to have you back!

Shoshone at Big Sky

  • 4 of 5

The condo was perfect for my husband and me and our 2 granddaughters. It was well maintained and steps away from everything Big Sky has to offer in the summer. The beautiful warm pool was the perfect way to end our days doing all the activities in the area. We would definitely go back.

A Big Piece of Paradise

  • 5 of 5

This condo and the complex was more than expected. I was looking for a place to stay that was close to Yellowstone, waited too late to book as most places close close were booked, so I moved my search farther out. What had started as a disaster, turned into the best thing that had ever happened to us.

The condo was in our budget and it slept my family of five. Now, we did have to use the murphy bed and the pullout couch, so it did get crowded, but that was when we were sleeping, and really, was this a problem, no it was not. No snorers, no problem.

The kitchen had every plate, dish, pan, utensil that we needed. We cooked a lot of meals and did not have any problems, except the kids not wanting to help clean up but then we can hardly blame the condo on that.

Having two bathrooms really helped us getting ready and out the door.

The furniture was comfortable. Clean. looked better than the pictures. Being a corner unit was great. We loved having so many windows. Mountains everywhere. Coming from flatter lands, this was great. At times staring out the windows could cause delay.

The owner was great to work with. His instructions were easy to follow. We did not have any problems. We did not have any issues while we were there, either. It was almost too good. The Shoshone resort was also nice. Even though we were in an owner condo, they were more than happy to help us, answer questions, wish us good morning, really happy people. The pool is as good as it looks. We had a cooler day and my son and I had a blast hanging out.

The worst part, leaving. I would go back in a second. In the summer. As i do not ski. I can only imagine how much fun it is as the snow flies.

Owner's Response: So glad your trip was "best ever" & our Big Sky condo played a part. We're honored. We're from flat lands too and still marvel at the mountain views. When we're at the condo I have my coffee early morning in the rocker looking at the sun reflection in the clouds over the Spanish Peaks keeping an eye out for wildlife traversing below our window to the Lake Lavensky traiI. I see fox, moose & bear frequently at sunrise and sunset. Our pool is always a hit with families and another perfect spot to view wildlife near sunset, munching grass on the "ski" slopes. We hope to have you back as our guest.

Wonderful stay in Big Sky!!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for sharing your beautiful condo! My husband and I stayed here with our three boys, ages 12, 9 and 6. It was perfect for us. We used the murphy bed and the pullout for sleeping. The king size bed was very comfortable. The condo was very clean when we arrived (and quickly became messy once we settled in) :) Shoshone is in an incredibly convenient location for skiing and the mountain village (with shops/restaurants) and the ski valet was so nice to have at the end of a long day on the slopes. We will absolutely return to Big Sky and hopefully Shoshone! Thanks again for an awesome stay!
