It was a fantastic get away yet so close to all we did in town and around. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
This beautifully furnished split bedroom ranch features three spacious living rooms with comfortable seating areas. The home is tastefully decorated, kind of a beachy mountain vibe. The unique house plants add character. The kitchen is full of all the necessary equipment in clean, good working order. Outside the gorgeous decks complete with comfortable chairs and tables wrap around the house and overlook a beautiful valley and the well- kept property. The clean hot tub is great for relaxing. The house is an easy drive from Durango's Main Ave. and close to hiking and biking areas. We very much enjoyed our stay and the convenient reservation process. It was a fun time for us to get four generations of our family together in a private retreat, nearby all that Durango has to offer.
Thanks, Mark for sharing your great house with us via VRBO. We especially enjoyed the hot tub, hammock, and of course the couch in front of the big window. We found lots of trails within a short drive and Durango about 15 minutes away. Good times!
What a great home to have a relaxing vacation. We had a total of four adults, an infant, and three dogs and this place fit our needs perfectly . We stayed for a week and enjoyed spending most of out time at the house. The fenced backyard is a huge plus for animals and kids alike with plenty of room to run around and a nice deck with plenty of out door seating. The house in just far enough away from Durango to enjoy the mountains and natural surroundings, but still close enough to enjoy the aesthetics of Durango on a daily basis.
This home fit our needs and more and we would definitely stay there again.
Spent a week with family in this amazing house. We enjoyed the beautiful mountain views from the expansive deck while drinking our coffee in the morning and in the hot tub at night. On a clear night, you can see billions of stars! The house is located about 15 minutes from town which contributed to its peaceful vibe. We cooked breakfast and dinner almost every day and can say the kitchen was well stocked. The owner Mark was very helpful and responsive. Loved our stay here and look forward to coming back again soon. Mark, we call dibs on this house if you ever decide to sell!
Everything about our stay was great! The property is well taken care of. The views are beautiful (especially of the Milk Way from the hot tub). The house has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. There's no AC, but if you sleep with the windows open and close them in the morning you won't miss it. We look forward to coming back again!
We were highly optimistic given the reviews we read about the property. We were not disappointed. The house is far enough out of town to give you the "in the mountains" feel yet close enough that you can run to the store or an errand and not feel like you had to go on a journey. There are multiple hiking trails nearby that are easy to get to and quite beautiful. There is also a forest service road near the Colorado Trailhead that you can drive up into the mountains for scenic views and a picnic. The house is well equipped. We did not lack for anything we needed. There are multiple seating areas within the house, my kids loved the hanging chairs, and a great outside porch with mountain vistas. It is a great family retreat.
