Peaceful and beautiful

  • 5 of 5

The house is beautiful and looks new. The windows are large and offer magnificent views of cliffs. There are patios on all sides of the house, including decks and paving stones. I actually counted the number of interior plants - 37! The bathrooms and showers are beautiful. Throughout the house, guests can find anything they might need. There is an abundance of towels, pillows, and blankets. A computer and printer are available. I love nature, so I loved the ambiance! I would love to stay here again.

GREAT experience.

Wonderful house in a beautiful setting.

The kids loved the grounds and hot tub.

Just far enough away from town.

Would stay here again without hesitation.

Excellent stay

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful property, great owners who made sure we felt very welcome. We spent quite a bit of time lounging around watching the mule deer come around as well as the rabbits and cats. Very clean and roomy house with lots of windows to allow for great views.

Ideal rental home perfect for a relaxing vacation

  • 5 of 5

We really loved this vacation home. There were four adults and two kids and the house was perfect for the six of us. The house is beautifully designed and decorated. The bathrooms were fantastic! There are three indoor "living rooms" which gives a lot of space for people to spread out. The outdoor space was even better - a hammock, a hot tub, a porch swing, lots of places to relax and read - even a climbing tree. My kids loved exploring everything. We had everything we needed to cook and eat at the house. The view was lovely too and we enjoyed stargazing at night. My one suggestion would be that we could have used box fans for the windows since Durango was having a heat wave while we were there!

We have stayed in many vacation homes over the years and I think this one was my favorite - one of the few I hope to return to!

Townsend/Vulpitta Colorado Adventure--Spring Break 2017

  • 5 of 5

The Pastore's home was perfect for our group of 8 + 2 dogs!! The kitchen was well appointed and stocked with things you could use but wouldn't necessarily want to buy for just a few days. Beautiful scenery with the sunrise on one side of the house and sunset on the other!! It wasn't too far to town nor to the the ski slopes. Would love to go back during the summer and go to Mesa Verde! If you go, check out their daughter's art work. Just a glimpse into their lives. Thanks so much, Jeanne and Mark.
