Cottage 183, located at 1405 SEA ISLAND DRIVE, a beautiful Marsh Front Estate on the NW corner of 14th & the Drive, is one of the original classic Sea Island cottages just ONE BLOCK to one of the nicest BEACH on Sea Island. This Classic Sea Island Cottage is the perfect getaway. It has the eloquence of a fine private estate nestled in nature's magnificent beauty.

The cottage has a grand lay out of yesteryear. There is a formal living room that opens on to twin patios overlooking a beautiful spring fed pond and miles of lush marsh.

There is a magnificent ENTERTAINMENT WING, with a jazz piano, a slate pool table, a ping pong table, a large screen TV, a stereo, and its own kitchenette.

When it is time to turn in there are FIVE BEDROOMS each with their OWN BATHROOMS. There are three individual Suites, two with king beds and one with an awesome super plush queen. The master bedroom has magnificent water views & separate his and hers bathrooms. In addition there is a large bed room adjacent to the game room with a king & a twin bed. Perfect for teenagers. Also included is a kids room with a twin bunkbed and its own bathroom.

This neoclassical 1965 French cottage has boasts 5,400 square feet of space. Many of its original fixtures, woodwork and hand crafted details have been maintained to its original Sea Island luster. It is conveniently located on 14th street between the Marsh and Sea Island Drive.

Barron’s named Sea Island #1 on their list of “Best Places for a Second Home'. While its beauty and range of lifestyles and luxury, as well as its status as a “power alley” of influential residents, were noted, Sea Island was rated highest for its value. Outside magazine’s Adventure Advisor chose St. Simons Island as a “Best Fall Beach Escape” because our sandy beaches are largely employ in the off season while temperatures are sill in the 70s, and fishing, surfing, and biking are all possible. National Geographic Traveller included the Georgia Sea Islands, as its “99 Top Rated Places”. Speaking of golf, this is the perfect base for attending the PGA’s McGladrey Classic golf tournament held at Sea Island's fabled Seaside golf course.

*There are additional charges for passes to use Sea Island Club facilities for non members.

SEA ISLAND PRIVILEGES: Owner has a FULL Sea Island Membership. Lessee Access Cards that give access to all Sea Island amenities (Golf, Beach Club, Spa, Fitness, etc) are available provided guest reimburses Owner for card fees.

2017 Rates:

Adults (26+): $150 (daily)

Under 26: $40 (daily) (2 free with 2 adult cards/see below)

Applicable to Member's rental tenants. Lessee Card fees are per person (parent/s) and include two (2) unmarried dependent children, per family, under the age of 26. A minimum of two (2) Adult cards ($300) per cottage is required and fee will be charged to the sponsoring Member’s account. Rental tenants over the age of six (6) will be issued a Lessee Access Card. Contact the Sea Island Club Membership for additional information.

Example, a family of 5 with two adults and 3 children under 26 will be charged (per day) $150 per adult per day and an additional $40 per adult for the 3rd child under 26. The total would for this family would be $340 per day.

Beautiful views of unspoiled Marsh, tidal creeks, and a wonderful pond with fish, turtles, crabs, birds, ect. Bicycles, Miles of Private Beach, Beach Club, Clositers, Lodge, Golf, Sea Island is Amazing!

Great time and nice place

We had our children and parents join us at Sea Island. This house was great for us to spread out and rest. It was close to the Beach club and we enjoyed riding our bikes!

simply beautiful

A simply beautiful cottage. Charming, captures the island life of yesterday with every modern amenity.

We were in town for a funeral. So, extended family, each with their own separate space and privacy stayed together. The cottage is serene and comfortable. Spacious enough for 3 couples, 2 single adults and one child.

We had more than enough room.

Sea island is stunning and so is this cottage.

Great layout and location - be aware of additional fees to gain access to amenities of the resort

Overall our experience was good staying at this cottage. The layout of the home was perfect for our families. Lessees should be aware that access to the Beach Club and Sea Island Resort (including restaurants) is limited to those who purchase temporary membership passes. These are not included in the cottage rental fee. This is a significant additional expense and people should inquire about the fees prior to leasing the property if interested in using any of the resort facilities.

Very good but noticed maintenance issues

Garbage pick up info listed on wrong day in guest book, mildew on inside of Windows, grill needs a new burner, outlet in master bath does not work as did a few other outlets, left faucet in kitchen disposal sink comes off, multi-speed bike needs tune up. Otherwise accommodations were very nice and the house was well supplied. We loved having the bikes to use and the access to the beach was wonderful. It would have been nice to know that beach towels were provided. We brought our own because earlier generic info said they weren't. Our names were not listed at the front gate on arrival and we had difficulty getting the other families and our photographer listed. We were not impressed with that service and you might want to pass that on to the Cloister's.
