Fabulous stay - highly recommend!
We stayed at the property with our four small children and had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kids had a great time between the fishing, games in the pole barn and inside, large yard, and canoe/paddle-boating. The house was so well-appointed and spotlessly-clean. It's a really relaxing, care-free spot and the included cable and Wi-fi are a major bonus. Let's just say our children are also quite accident-prone but Rodney was wonderful and very kind in helping us make things right. Thanks again for a great stay! Would recommend highly to anyone!
Clean and well maintained property on the lake. Quiet surroundings and plenty to do.
A great fishing weekend away
My family and I had a wonderful time in Cassopolis.
The house was exactly as promised, can sleep 6+ and had more than enough space for everyone.
The home was very clean and well maintained. Every light fixture and fan was well labeled and the kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with utensils, cooking supplies and towels.
There were plenty of bonus amenities (football, pop-a-shot, darts, movies and board/card games) to keep everyone busy and happy during our one rain day. Plus the screened porch is where we spent a lot of our time, having that space was a BIG plus.
We also rented the John Boat which was money well spent. It came with a trolling motor which had more than enough power to motor around the lake. The fishing was excellent for pan fish. We cashed in on some rock bass, bluegills and perch and pulled about 16 for an amazing fish fry. The lake is fairly shallow all around but it provides a lot of coverage with Lilly pads, etc. We saw a number of catfish and other large Game fish but weren't able to land anything.
All in all, we had a great time and we would highly recommend a stay in Cassopolis.
Peaceful with a very nice view
Enjoyed the peace & quiet in a setting where it was nice sitting in the porch, looking at the lake, the mallards, geese, fish jumping out of the water. Used the canoe every evening. Haven't gone canoeing in a long time so it brought back many good memories and was good exercise at the same time. There are paddle boats, foosball tables and other games that we didn't use which would be great for a family. We were in the area for a conference. A year ago we were also in the area for a conference and stayed in Elkhart. This was much better, more relaxing and something I will do again when I return
Good location, large lakeside property
It was almost like being by ourselves, neighbors were a distance away. The house is spacious with very large recreation areas (living room, closed-in screened porch, game room) so we had plenty of room to move around. Very pleasant atmosphere, inside and outside. Fully appointed kitchen is convenient to cook in. We truly enjoyed our stay there.
Very quiet and relaxing getaway!
We enjoyed the canoe and kayaks. Great fishing in the lake, we caught bass, bluegill, and perch. The kids lived the game room. One of the paddle boats had a steering mechanism that didn't work, but we enjoyed the other water craft. We will probably choose this destination again.
