Sitting on the gentle slope of a Welfleet sand dune at 20 Nauhaught Bluff Road--this charming 6 room vacation home sleeps 6 people comfortably. We refer to it as Hydrangea Pointe--so we are busily planting hydrangeas. Arts and crafts style windows allow gorgeous Cape Cod sunlight to stream in all sides of the house. The living and dining area is an open floor plan, and the newly decorated space is bright, airy and eclectic in style. We just installed a wood pellet stove and 6 person outdoor hot tub for winter visitors. New kitchen stove is electric, and kitchen is fully appointed. A washer/dryer is available in the house for your convenience. The large picture window overlooks the fenced in side yard, and the property also has an additional fenced in side yard on it's opposite side for more space to spread out and play or relax. Parking for 2 cars. Basic cable and wifi included. Street is not a through street, so traffic is minimal. Shore is 2 /10ths of a mile away, and a lovely walk along the shoreline will take you over Uncle Tims footbridge and into Wellfleet Center, where you can enjoy the restaurants, galleries and all the spots that make Wellfleet so memorable all year round. The shoreline walk is truly stunning and sunsets here are spectacular. Some of Cape Cod's best beaches are a stones throw away-and visitors have a choice of ocean side beaches or bay side beaches (which tend to be a bit warmer)in addition to the famous fresh water kettle ponds. Wellfleet's famous Drive In theater is a short drive up Route 6 and the Audubon Sanctuary is not far after that, as are many other fun activities and things for everyone in a family or group to enjoy. Sunday to Sunday during the high season.

What makes this House unique
Right at mid point of Chatham and Provincetown. The house is just 15 - 20 minutes in either direction to both of these communities for those rainy days when you may need something more to do. Wellfleet Village is literally right around the corner and has all of the amenities for a SUPER Cape vacation. Best beaches within a 5 minute drive for ocean side AND bay side beaches. Short drive to PB Boullangerie and Duck Creek Inn Resort and pub is a short walk and open all year!
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Perfect 1930s Cape Cod Cottage
The cottage was adorable. Great communication w/ owners. Much appreciated flexibility. If VRBO / Home Away wasn't so rigid in their practices, we may have been able to include a pet in our stay.
The shower curtain was moldy - we replaced it.
Cosy cottage like Cape Cod should be!
A perfect cottage - not too fancy, but very comfortable, with everything we needed. We all had a great time and plan on another visit next year. The landlords were easily accessible for the few questions we had.
Wonderful Beach Cottage
We loved staying in your quaint cottage while we visited Cape Cod. Unfortunately our sister had to cancel at the last minute but Susan and I really enjoyed our time there. The cottage was very inviting and just as it is pictured. The bright sunshine woke us every morning about 5am so we took advantage to walk along the beaches to gather seashells. The beds are very comfy. Best nights sleep.Would love to know where you purchased the hanging sailboat in the gray bedroom. It was so relaxing to watch as you drift off to sleep. Mac's Seafood down by the harbor in Wellfleet is a great place to eat outside by the water. We liked being greeted by JFK when we came "home" each day. Thanks for sharing your home with us. Hated to leave. Would love to come back again maybe next year. Jill
Thanks! We would be delighted to have you back. That sailboat I got at the MFA store here in Boston a few years ago--in fact the week we bought the house.
Beautiful home, great location, very accommodating hosts
This beautiful house is just minutes away from the beach and a hiking trail that goes through Uncle Tim'a island and to the town of Wellfleet. The home is beautifully decorated, warm and has all of the amenities one could hope for in a vacation home. Wellfleet is only 15 minutes car ride away from Provincetown and has a share of its own quaint restaurants and places to visit. As an added treat on our walk through the beach in the morning we came witnesses to a rescue of a flock of Risso dolphins that came too close to the shore during the high tide. It was pretty remarkable. Thank you again to our wonderful hosts and we hope to come again!
Great Location for access to the beaches.
The property was just as advertised and the pictures were indicative of what we found upon arrival. The cottage is 300' off Route 6 less than a mile to the entrance road for Wellfleet Harbor. Being that close to the main road is convenient and yet does not come with noise or traffic deterrents. In fact, the yard is large and private.
The cottage is an old beach house that is functional and well cared for. It is old, which is charming but you need to be aware that it is not plush nor fancy. Just as a beach cottage should be IMO. Painted hardwood floors make for easy clean up and the informal nature of the home and decor yielded a relaxed atmosphere. The beds in the four bedrooms were very comfy and I assume they had new mattresses. You have to pass through or by a couple of the bedrooms to access another bedroom.
There are a dozen or more beaches within a 15 minute drive. One of the benefits is that it comes with the ability to go to all of the Wellfleet town beaches. You would just have to go to the town office to get your pass. We did not bother with this as we hit 5 of the National Seashore beaches with our $20 season pass instead.
Whit was super easy to deal with and very thorough. I hope to return next summer so don't take my week.
Beautiful and relaxing vacation getaway
We have stayed in this cabin two years in a row and will be back again. The house was clean, casual/kid friendly, beautifully decorated with soothing beachy colors and decor and had everything we needed. The outdoor shower after a day at the beach is heaven. The property owners are super friendly, helpful, available and welcoming. Great location close to everything, 5 minute drive to Wellfleet beaches and Great Pond. Could not have been happier with our experience.
Our location offers everything for a quintessential Cape Cod vacation. Walk down our sleepy street-which ends at Welfleet Harbor-and proceed through a magical nature preserve that leads over Uncle Tim's pedestrian footbridge directly to town center. Town center offers great shopping and dining, galleries and historic sites. In the summertime the town center also offers weekly farmer, artisanal foods and art markets. We are located off of route 6 (not ON route 6), and equidistant to Provincetown and Chatham (15 minute drive). Famous Welfleet drive-in theater is a must for kids PM entertainment, and doubles as a HUGE flea market on Sats and Sun. Miles of both harbor and ocean shoreline provide endless exploration and beaching opportunities. KETTLE PONDS allow for yet another option to cool down and relax and/or reflect. The W.H.A.T. (Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre) is a 5 minute walk from the property and offers fabulous live professional theatre group performances. Audubon sanctuary is an incredible nature preserve within the Wellfleet borders as well.
