Quiet Weekend at Green Lake
Lovely weekend! We thoroughly enjoyed Sunset Nook Cottage. Everything we could possibly need was provided for us. The cottage was so clean and cozy. A wonderful view from the back patio. Green Lake offers so much to do even on a chilly April weekend. We went to the farmers market, the bird festival and played bingo at Town Square. We went for meals at The Corporal, Chops and 680 North (at Tuscumia Country Club)
We look forward to returning!
Quiet, clean, nice neighbors. Close to everything.
We loved the cottage. It was in a great location for ease of walking into town. The cottage was very well maintained and had anything we could have asked for. We would definitely stay here again if we travel back to Green Lake.
Clean, updated, well-appointed cottage on the water, with a beautiful view
We absolutely loved the cottage. It was immaculately clean. It was so charming and had the perfect balance of classiness and coziness. It was decorated so nicely; my husband and I discussed how refreshing it was to be in a nicely decorated, open, fresh space instead of the cliche northwoods motif that so many lake cottages use, which is so dark and often feels so dirty. The color scheme was so neat and added to the feeling of cleanliness. And the house offered every possible amenity and convenience one could need! That the boat launch was only yards away and that a dock slip is provided just feet from the door helped to streamline our getaway and ensure the most quality family time. The lake view was gorgeous, and the morning and evening sun off the lake was stunning. The ONLY “negative” I would include is that we didn’t know how close it was to other properties and how shared the outdoor space would be. That said, though, the neighbors were so nice that it certainly didn’t detract from our experience. What a find!!!
Great location absolutely perfect with everything on site that you might need. Charming and very well appointed.
Cozy, peaceful getaway
My husband and I wanted to get away for a few days and chose Sunset Nook after reading the reviews and wanting a stand alone house, not a hotel or condo. We enjoyed the jetted tub, the fireplace and the fire bowl outside under the stars. The location is great -- walking distance to downtown and a little private yard to sit and enjoy the sunsets. The house had everything we needed and was nicely decorated and furnished, and very clean. One negative for anyone interested in fishing -- the cottage is on a pond that connects to the lake, and fishing isn't good on the pond. It's pretty weedy and shallow. We hadn't been to Green Lake in 25 years, and it hasn't changed much. Still small and quaint. Got to eat at Adam's Rib, Goose Blind and Little Corporal. Enjoyed golf and a nearby winery in Ripon. Tried to take a lake cruise on the Heidel House yacht, but they had engine trouble so couldn't go. Lucked out on the weather for late October! Faith the owner was great to work with. Would definitely recommend Sunset Nook to travelers heading to Green Lake!
