Welcome home to Montana. Whether this is your first time in the area, or you're a frequent visitor, our home offers everything you are looking for during the four seasons.
There are so many things you can do on our property, depending on the season. The creek offers fishing, hiking, or relaxion for most of the months. Nearby hills offer sledding in the winter. Plus, there are miles and miles of trails for hiking, biking, cross-country skiing--you name it. The city of Bozeman is 10 minutes away, and it offers everything a traveler would need. Even Four Corners, where our property is located, has grown so much over the years that it has so many businesses, along with bakeries, restaurants, bars, burger stands, taco trucks, and numerous stores. We love our location in that it's secluded by trees and acreage, but one signal from Four Corners.
First off, this house will not come off as a rental. You won't walk in and feel like you've been cheated. There won't be any wobbly furniture bought at yard sales or spartan accommodations. When you stay here, you stay knowing that everything is provided for you, and then some.
My wife and I are teachers, and when summers roll around we like to get away. Montana is one of the many destinations that we love. You have mountains around you, rivers and creeks, and a town that has everything. We looked for years, trying to find the right place in Montana, and we think we did. Even the inspector who came out to look over the place claimed that he sees a property like this 'maybe once a year.' And that's what we thought, too.
It's on 3 acres at the end of a road--it's actually an island--so you will not hear a neighbor from a surrounding home. It's like your own personal 'island' in the middle of the country, as there is a major creek running through the property on one side and a seasonal creek on the other. BUT, you're not in the country. Only half a mile down the road is Main St., which can take you in any direction. We're two minutes from Four Corners (gateway to fishing and skiing), five minutes to the first big grocery store, and ten minutes to either the University or Downtown. It's a special property. Less than 100 feet from the back door is the above-mentioned trout-filled creek that runs right through the property (400 feet of creek access just on the property).
The house is one of many levels. The first floor is the living room, with fireplace, television, stereo, and an unobstructed view of the Bridgers. There is also a guest bedroom with its own full bath, along with a half bath off the living room.
Walking downstairs takes you to the kitchen, where everything is provided. A small sitting area is to one side, while a dining area is to the other side. An air-conditioned (and heated) sun room offers more access to hanging out close to the kitchen. A washer and dryer are also featured. If you don't like eating inside, a wrap-around deck surrounds the house, complete with a grill hooked up to natural gas.
Walking down another level gets you the man cave. Television, stereo, and a separate bedroom and bathroom for privacy. There's also a wet bar area in the man cave to keep drinks cold if you don't feel like walking less than 10 stairs to the kitchen.
Upstairs is the master, with a steam shower in the bathroom. The room opens up to another deck that overlooks the property and the creek. Opening the screen door will allow the creek to lull you to sleep at night. This floor also features a den/office, that can also be used as a bedroom. Its concept is open--it overlooks the living room--but it is still an ample space.
Upstairs even more is a game room, which offers foosball, a television with old Atari games hooked up to it, and a wired computer/monitor/printer set-up (need to print anything like a boarding pass?), more views, and a library of books, movies, and cds.
Outside is absolutely beautiful, and one of the major reasons we bought the place. The creek is nice, but there's also the deck around the house that overlooks it, a huge yard, a putting green, horseshoes, and a deck and gazebo right on the water.
There's space for everyone here, depending on how you want to use it. If three or four buddies are going fishing, they all have their own bedrooms. If it's just a couple, you have your choice of many nice rooms. If it's a family occasion, you can fit and hang out together, or find privacy on any of the floors, or outside.
We look forward to coming here every time and find something new to do each day. And that's what we hope for you. Let us know and we will make your stay a good one. You will not be disappointed.

About Owner
My wife and I are teachers and love having the time off to travel with our son. I like fishing and the outdoors, but I really like to come home to a nice place and have a good city nearby. I'm not getting any younger, so 'roughing it' doesn't hold the appeal it used to. My wife enjoys everything except fishing, which seems kind of tragic now that we have this place. Our 10-yr-old likes to run outside, so you could pretty much figure that he had a lot to do with our Montana purchase.

Why Owner chose Four Corners
If you've ever been to Bozeman, you probably entertained the idea of living there. We thought about it for a while, ended up with a second home in Montreal for 5 years, but always kept coming back to Big Sky Country. It's great--you just feel different in Montana and we searched long and hard for this location. The house is nice and has every amenity, but it's the location that will keep us coming back.
What makes this House unique
You can fish right on the property or walk the creek a little. The neighbors were nice and offered suggestions on where to cast. Everything is paved, so you can ride a bike anywhere. It was fun watching my kid walk down the creek and collect wild turkey feathers. We have a putting green, horseshoes, along with plenty of grass to run on or throw a ball around. I can't wait to be there each summer.

Lots of space, close to town
Comfortable, large space with nice kitchen and porches. Age of house and sub-freezing outdoor temperatures probably contributed to some sounds of pipes or heating rattling throughout the night. (nothing major) Bathrooms could use updates, but generally a nice big space and friendly hosts.
Good for a large crowd and nice setting on stream!
The house was well equipped and very large. Even though it was in a neighborhood, it was on a stream and off the main road which made it private. There is no air conditioning so it does take quite a while to cool down (even with everything closed up during the heat of the day) so it would be nice if there was a fan in each room. Additionally, we would have appreciated a few more lamps in the living room. Overall it was a good fit for our time in Bozeman and the owners seem very nice!
A river runs through it
The house was spacious enough for our three couples to each have our own space. And the river running along the back of the property is very nice; great for that morning cup of coffee or just to catch up with family like we did. Its off the beaten path so its relatively quiet but close enough to downtown Bozeman. The yard around the house needed quite a bit of work but that may have been a function of the time of year. Lots of weeds detracted from the overall appearance of the house.
May and June is the monsoon season in Bozeman and often produces some weeds. We are working in a new lawncare person, so that didn't help matters either. We were up immediately after this rental, knocked down all the weeds around the house--it must have been quite the rainy season this year--and sprayed so they wouldn't come back. Sorry. We're usually there before summer rentals start and take care of these things, but school got out really late this year.
absolutely perfect!!!
Not only is this property extremely beautiful, but the home is well cared for and fully stocked!! I had a bbq on the property after my college graduation and we did not leave the back yard all day. You really feel like you're in the woods but with shops and restaurants only minutes away! We were absolutely blown away with our experience here and I would very highly recommend it to anyone visiting the bozeman area!!
Always happy to hear that our guests had a great time. We love our back yard, too. Congrats on the graduation--glad we could be of service.
Great time here
We had a wonderful time in this house! The house is roomy, comfortable, and well stocked. The sound of the creek and the fresh air put us to sleep every night! We found many things to do in Bozeman and the surrounding areas. We enjoyed our stay and want to thank Tom and Mitzi for sharing their home.
Worth every bit of the drive!
First a BIG THANKS to Tom and Mitzi for letting us use their home on our vacation! Coming to Bozeman with our entire family was a little stressful to begin with but once we arrived in Montana and saw our "home" for the week all the anxiety went away!
The grounds and the house were both beautiful and perfect! There was plenty of room for the 9 of us and the interior of the house worked out great for our group. Having the creek run through the backyard was the highlight for everyone! My two young nephews and even myself and my brother couldn't stay out of it! Listening to it while you fall asleep was also an added bonus!
I would recommend this property to anyone that is looking to rent a place for a good value, with a helpful honest owner and good time! Make sure to pet and say Hi to Wallace while you are there!
Thanks again Tom for lending us your mountain paradise!
Phil Witteman and family
Come back any time. Glad you enjoyed the entire property.
