Only 4 miles south of Cannon Beach, on the most idyllic stretch of quiet flat sandy beach in Oregon! This year's Cannon Beach Sandcastle Contest celebrates its golden 50th Anniversary and takes place on the weekend of June 20-22!
This is a perfect place for us to come and bring nothing but our reading material, clothes and food. Lots of books and games to entertain, but I like to bring the camera and kindle while my husband just paints and draws 'til the sun goes down. Really quiet and squeaky clean interiors with everything you need for a great week away!
This property was a joy to rent with friends who have spent a lot of time working and vacationing together. We loved cooking, beach walking, watching sunsets from the hot tub, and generally relaxing. We took many local hikes, paddled, found wonderful local seafood and enjoyed the array of galleries in the area.
Every question was promptly answered and we couldn't have had a better time.
Really appreciate you sharing this wonderful home.
We loved the quiet of Arch Cape. The proximity to Cannon Beach, Seaside, Astoria and southern towns was perfect from this home. Clean, well appointed home that was perfect for our family. The pictures don't do it justice. The placement of skylights made the inside much much brighter than the pictures show. Great breeze from the open windows and slider to the deck. Kitchen and dining room view was wonderful looking at all those waves breaking! Easy walk down the street to the beach access. The placement of the hedges make the hot tub and deck feel secluded but open. Everything we needed was right there in the home. Loved cooking breakfasts and several dinners in the kitchen (granite countertops and stainless appliances). We only had 4 people but we could have had so many more join us! The bunk bed room had 6 bunks!! Kids had a blast staying in there. There was so much light in this wonderful home from the skylights that I kept thinking my kids left the lights on in the bathroom! Had so much fun walking the beach, flying a stunt kite, having a beach fire and exploring the tide pools and sea caves down at Hug Point (nice walk from the home).
It must be good. We returned for the third year and are already planning for next year.
We enjoyed very much staying at this beach home at Arch Cape. We celebrated mom's 90th birthday. We enjoyed many walks on the wonderful beach. The home has a great view from the deck and we spent many hours reading books on the deck. We enjoyed many meals at the dining table which has a gorgeous view of the beach and ocean as well. It is a very relaxing place. We were 7 adults in the beach home and we all felt like we had privacy with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths and 2 wonderful window beds. It is a great place to stay for relaxation. There is also many fun activities to do nearby. We definitely recommend this place. The owners are available to answer your questions if needed.
This is our favorite family getaway! We have stayed at the house in every season and each visit is fantastic. Regardless of the weather, the kids have so much fun in the hot tub with the gorgeous view of the ocean and horizon, playing on the beach (love all the beach toys!!) and searching for shells, going into Cannon Beach (Waves of Grain) and Manzanita (Bread and Ocean Bakery) for fun lunch and shopping trips and Astoria for fish and chips (Bow Picker - delicious!) and the incredible Maritime Museum. My husband enjoys practicing his surfing out front and its a quick drive south to Oswald West State Park and North to Indian Head Beach (Ecola State Park) for more waves. We love driving down to Tillamook for a visit to the Cheese Factory (ice cream!) and we've even done the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport for a longer outing. The games and puzzles and videos at the house occupy all of us in the evenings and family meals in the kitchen with the incredible views are always lovely. Thanks for sharing the house with us - we'll be back soon!!!
