About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5+ Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Ridgeview Lodge is nestled in the trees atop a hill overlooking the quaint town of Estes Park with stunning mountain views of Lumpy Ridge and the Twin Owls. Here you have the best of both worlds - you can escape to the mountains and relax, yet it’s only a 5 minute walk into the center of town to enjoy shops and restaurants! Open up the windows and listen to the calming sound of the river. Do you love the outdoors? The majestic Rocky Mountain National Park is just a 5 min drive away where you can enjoy wildlife, hundreds of hiking trails, rock climbing, amazing views, beautiful drives, numerous lakes and waterfalls as well as snowshoeing and cross country skiing.

The spacious, open floor plan of this home allows plenty of room for everyone as well as gathering space to spend quality time together. The master bedroom has it’s own half bath for privacy, a plush queen size log bed, dresser, closet and writing desk. The 2nd bedroom is quite large and offers versatility for kids or adults with a log bunk bed that has a twin bed on top and queen on the bottom. There is a large dresser and plenty of closet space as well as a stash of board games and toys. These guests enjoy a full bath with tub/shower just down the hall. This home has a tankless water heater which allows back-to-back showers so all guests can enjoy a hot shower in the morning!

Downstairs is a beautiful separate suite with its own bathroom with shower, kitchenette with fridge and microwave, gas fireplace and private patio. The large suite has a queen size bed, dresser, closet and a futon that folds out to queen size as well. Guests in this suite also enjoy their own flat screen TV. With large windows and the same stunning views enjoyed upstairs, it’s hard to decide who gets to stay in this room! If desired, maximum privacy can be achieved by closing a door atop the stairs to separate this room from the rest of the house. It even has its own entrance from the outside. Overall, we can accommodate 8 guests in this home.

In the living area, enjoy two full size sofas, a flat screen TV with blu-ray player and library of movies to watch, or relax and read a book. We have lots of books about the local area so you’ll have no trouble finding things to do, if you ever want to leave the house! There is a loft above the living room with some comfy chairs and plenty of reading material. Our dining room seats 6-8 with mountain views and warmth from the wood burning stove. If you prefer to eat outdoors, the deck seats 11 and boasts amazing mountain views as well as a view of town. Enjoy the lovely sounds of the river while outside and open up the windows to enjoy it inside as well. The open kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, bakeware, serving dishes, dishes and utensils...just bring home the groceries and prepare a lovely meal for the family. We also have a Cuisinart CrockPot, toaster, blender, coffee pot, electric tea kettle, baking dishes, pizza pan, cookie sheets and mixing bowls. If you want to relax and let someone else do the cooking, we have provided menus from many places in town, including lots who deliver!

We want you to get the most out of your vacation so we have provided lots of information on things to do in town and in the national park. You can also find the events calendar for the town in the links section on our website. We have free wi-fi in the home in case you need to look up activities or even get a little work done if you can’t completely get away. We welcome dogs too! Bring your best friend along. Call us with any questions and we look forward to having you stay!

About Christie Scott

My name is Christie and I make it my goal to make your stay as comfortable as possible because it brings me joy for others to have a great time here!

Christie Scott purchased this house in 2011

Why Christie Scott chose Front Range

Estes Park and my family have a long history together - both my parents grew up taking family vacations here. I fell in love with it as a teenager and have been a frequent visitor since moving to Colorado in 2005. This town has a hold on my heart and I want other people to experience it and fall in love with it too!

What makes this house unique

What I love about this home is the fact you are nestled in the mountains, able to relax and enjoy the quietness, the trees and the amazing views... yet it's only a 5 min walk into town to enjoy everything Estes Park has to offer. It's also only a 5 min drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. This home is comfortable, cozy and enjoyable.

Rocky Mountain beauty right outside your door!

VRBO Bear stayed here

Feb 16, 2016

The pleasure of staying in this home began with our beautiful drive into Estes Park. The home itself was incredibly well maintained, very clean, and furnished with everything imaginable (including extras such as a mini library, cookware, washer & dryer, movies, games, a fireplace, and even fuzzy bathrobes.) The home is so cozy and perfect for a family or friends getaway. I would highly recommend it to anyone. There is a lovely view from the back patio that overlooks the town which is only a 5 minute walk away. Estes Park is dog friendly and gladly welcomed our dog into all the shops. Located a very short drive away is Rocky Mountain National Park with amazing scenery and awesome hiking trails. Christie, thank you for being so accommodating, easily accessible, and for sharing your beautiful home. We will absolutely be returning.

Great place to stay!!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful house in a great location. The house is just a short walk from downtown, but in a very quiet neighborhood. The kids enjoyed watching the chipmunks and elk in the yard. The owners were extremely helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend this property, and I will definitely book again.

The views were wonderful, location was close to downtown Estes, property was fully equipped

  • 4 of 5

The house felt like home. Enjoyed the views from the deck to the mountains. Very close to downtown. Walked there easily. House was equipped with all appliances/conveniences. The downstairs was a nice place for an 'in-law' arrangement. Although in a neighborhood, that didn't stop the elk from eating in the yard. Our granddaughter just loved see the 'reindeer' up close from the windows in the house. Was a dog friendly place.

Just some information: the house is not quite set up for toddlers due to the stairs.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This house had everything we needed for our weekend girls trip. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. There were plenty of towels and extra blankets. The location could not have been any better. It was a short walk into town. It was clean and we had no problems. We had 8 females and I would probably recommend 6 adults max. The pullout couch was small and not comfortable at all so our 8th adult ended up sleeping on the regular couch which was surprisingly very comfortable. All was great and I would stay here again.

Perfect location for a perfect vacation

  • 5 of 5

This house has it all and more. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ridgeview Lodge. The house is a perfect walking distance to town, restaurants, and shops. The view is simply gorgeous with mule deer and elk casually walking through the yard in the mornings and evenings. The house could not have been better stocked and equipped with everything you could possibly need. What a wonderful time we had!!!! We will definitely be back!

Outstanding experience in Estes park

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home, awesome views, great location just above downtown. Could not have asked for anything more! Just a short drive to both entrances to RMNP, mule deer snacking in the neighborhood everyday! Comfortable, warm, will stay here again some day. Highly recommended.
