Estes Park House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5+ Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Ridgeview Lodge is nestled in the trees atop a hill overlooking the quaint town of Estes Park with stunning mountain views of Lumpy Ridge and the Twin Owls. Here you have the best of both worlds - you can escape to the mountains and relax, yet it’s only a 5 minute walk into the center of town to enjoy shops and restaurants! Open up the windows and listen to the calming sound of the river. Do you love the outdoors? The majestic Rocky Mountain National Park is just a 5 min drive away where you can enjoy wildlife, hundreds of hiking trails, rock climbing, amazing views, beautiful drives, numerous lakes and waterfalls as well as snowshoeing and cross country skiing.

The spacious, open floor plan of this home allows plenty of room for everyone as well as gathering space to spend quality time together. The master bedroom has it’s own half bath for privacy, a plush queen size log bed, dresser, closet and writing desk. The 2nd bedroom is quite large and offers versatility for kids or adults with a log bunk bed that has a twin bed on top and queen on the bottom. There is a large dresser and plenty of closet space as well as a stash of board games and toys. These guests enjoy a full bath with tub/shower just down the hall. This home has a tankless water heater which allows back-to-back showers so all guests can enjoy a hot shower in the morning!

Downstairs is a beautiful separate suite with its own bathroom with shower, kitchenette with fridge and microwave, gas fireplace and private patio. The large suite has a queen size bed, dresser, closet and a futon that folds out to queen size as well. Guests in this suite also enjoy their own flat screen TV. With large windows and the same stunning views enjoyed upstairs, it’s hard to decide who gets to stay in this room! If desired, maximum privacy can be achieved by closing a door atop the stairs to separate this room from the rest of the house. It even has its own entrance from the outside. Overall, we can accommodate 8 guests in this home.

In the living area, enjoy two full size sofas, a flat screen TV with blu-ray player and library of movies to watch, or relax and read a book. We have lots of books about the local area so you’ll have no trouble finding things to do, if you ever want to leave the house! There is a loft above the living room with some comfy chairs and plenty of reading material. Our dining room seats 6-8 with mountain views and warmth from the wood burning stove. If you prefer to eat outdoors, the deck seats 11 and boasts amazing mountain views as well as a view of town. Enjoy the lovely sounds of the river while outside and open up the windows to enjoy it inside as well. The open kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, bakeware, serving dishes, dishes and utensils...just bring home the groceries and prepare a lovely meal for the family. We also have a Cuisinart CrockPot, toaster, blender, coffee pot, electric tea kettle, baking dishes, pizza pan, cookie sheets and mixing bowls. If you want to relax and let someone else do the cooking, we have provided menus from many places in town, including lots who deliver!

We want you to get the most out of your vacation so we have provided lots of information on things to do in town and in the national park. You can also find the events calendar for the town in the links section on our website. We have free wi-fi in the home in case you need to look up activities or even get a little work done if you can’t completely get away. We welcome dogs too! Bring your best friend along. Call us with any questions and we look forward to having you stay!

About Christie Scott

My name is Christie and I make it my goal to make your stay as comfortable as possible because it brings me joy for others to have a great time here!

Christie Scott purchased this house in 2011

Why Christie Scott chose Front Range

Estes Park and my family have a long history together - both my parents grew up taking family vacations here. I fell in love with it as a teenager and have been a frequent visitor since moving to Colorado in 2005. This town has a hold on my heart and I want other people to experience it and fall in love with it too!

What makes this house unique

What I love about this home is the fact you are nestled in the mountains, able to relax and enjoy the quietness, the trees and the amazing views... yet it's only a 5 min walk into town to enjoy everything Estes Park has to offer. It's also only a 5 min drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. This home is comfortable, cozy and enjoyable.

Fantastic weekend in cozy mountain home!

  • 5 of 5

My situation: Weekend in the mountains with family (husband, 1 year old child, mom and dog)

Things that made our stay delightful:

- Easy communication with Christie, the owner

- Cute & rustic home with all the modern touches we love (e.g. WiFi and satellite TV)

- Perfect layout for our needs (my son, who is still in a crib and goes to bed early, got his own room and my mother got her own "apartment" downstairs)

- VERY good furnace and hot water (so important in the mountains in cold weather)

- We had the ability to cover the stairs going into the basement apartment with a "trap door"-style cover on a hinge... which allowed my 1 year old to run around risk-free

- The "how things work" binder and little notes everywhere that answered every single question we had and might have had (for example, the note on the shed telling us to only use the top/dead lock)

- The proximity to town! We walked to the wine store and had a tasting, to the liquor store down the street (there is a pattern here!). I will say the hill was a bit of a challenge at this altitude (and my current "out of shape" bod), but I like a good challenge!

- The family of deer that greeted us on Sunday morning (including 2 bucks, 3 does and 4 fawns!)

What would I improve?

- Nothing!

Thanks, Christie, for a great stay!

And double thank you for sending the clothes we forgot in the top drawer!!

Perfect Stay in Estes Park

  • 5 of 5

This was our second time staying at the ridgeview lodge and everything was perfect again. There were three of us and our two dogs. The cabin is the perfect location as we walked into downtown several times, including the holiday parade and did not have to fight parking. It was also a quick walk to the Donut Haus and Coffee on the Rocks for two of our favorites. When we spent time at the cabin, everyone was comfortable and enjoyed watching the family of deer in the backyard each day. We can't wait to be able to use this cabin again.

Beautiful home and setting!

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay here in this beautiful home. The location and surroundings are gorgeous, and every detail in this home was wonderful. The loft library was such a great feature, and there were countless things to make our stay more interesting and comfortable including games and books.

Our five year old daughter asked if we could move in here. :)

Great location, pretty views

  • 4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Christie's place. Not fancy, but very comfortable. An easy walk into town and an easy drive into the National Park. And we had a HUGE elk bull in the front yard on our first morning!

Lovely views in Estes Park

  • 4 of 5

This was the ideal setting for our long awaited "girls' weekend." The home is spacious, yet felt cozy, and was very comfortable. We especially enjoyed being so close to Estes Park and to RMNP. We were able to spend time hiking around Sprague Lake and go for drinks at the Stanley Hotel.

This "cabin" is perfect if you are looking for a restful, beautiful relaxing vacation in the mts

  • 5 of 5

The location was close to town by car and even closer on foot, though a little breath taking literally :). The "cabin" is very clean and cozy, full of light. The huge dining room table was perfect for conversations, meals and board games. A wonderful supply of puzzles, books and games are provided by the owner. The are also great movies to be enjoyed. The separate little studio downstairs accomadated our daughter, husband and two dogs very well. There is a separate entrance to the studio, with an adorable little patio perfect for a little "me" time, or tea as you relaxed watching the mule dear stroll past the house. The neighborhood is quiet. From the deck you can enjoy beautiful star gazing over the town of Estes Park. I thank the owner for providing everything you may need when you first arrive and beyond. TP , PT, dish soaps, laundry soaps, trash bags etc. No worries about having to shop right away upon arrival. We did not use the wood stove upstairs but I am sure on a cold winter night it would be perfect. I have a personal connection to these Rocky Mts. I know I will return one day and when I do I know it will be to this wonderful "cabin" in Estes Park. This time hopefullyfor longer.

Thank you Christie for all your loving care in this house. You allowed us our privacy but you were always available quickly to answer any questions.

Do not hesitate renting this "cabin" it is PERFECT Thank You. ❤️❤️❤️
