We're relocating due to a tremendous job opportunity or we absolutely would not be considering leaving this home or the area. We intend to come back and retire here, thus we're offering others the opportunity to enjoy this secluded home and wonderfull area for their enjoyment as well.
The Owner purchased this house in 2000
We loved the privacy and atmosphere this home and property offered and have made it home for eleven years now.
The privacy is terrific, only surpassed by sitting in the screened room while it rains, listening to the rain drops in the trees that surround you. Grilling in the screened room is a real treat year round as is enjoying the hot tub on the other end of the deck, just outside the master bedroom door access. NOTE: the grill is permanently attached to a large outside propane bottle, not located on the deck.
My husband and I stayed here with a group of friends for New Year's Eve. It was the perfect location - nice views, quiet atmosphere and close to downtown Hendersonville. The kitchen/living room area is open and really nice for gathering/hanging out. It really fit our needs well and the benefit of it being dog-friendly was even better! Jess was incredibly responsive during all of the planning as well. We hope to return to this spot in the future!
We brought the entire family for Christmas and stayed at this gem of a home. Between the two fireplaces, pool table, ping pong and darts, there was entertainment for everyone. We alternated between the cozy upstairs living room and the more casual and fun downstairs. All bathrooms and kitchen have been recently updated and everything was spotless. (There is a hot tub too, but we never made it in.)
We contacted Jess a few times with questions and she responded immediately with answers.
The view was beautiful and we took advantage of the spacious screen room. We saw the white squirrel, too! We would definitely stay again. The house is close to so many activities. It is a lovely, warm and inviting home. Thank you, Jess.
Thank you so much for letting us stay at your wonderful home. We really enjoyed ourselves and the dogs did too. This house is a gem. Has everything you need and more. Hot tub was great and so was the pool table. Very close to Hendersonville, Asheville,& Lake Lure. The big buck and the white squirrel was nice to see. Very quiet and relaxing. We hope to come back in Dec.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The home is beautiful and fully equipped with everything we needed.
Hendersonville was a fun place to visit and close to Asheville and the Biltmore.
I will admit I was skeptical to rent a place with no reviews & limited pictures/description. Every expectation I had in regards to my stay here was exceeded! The home is absolutely goegeous, tucked away at the end of the road overlooking a forest. The hot tub sits on a huge deck with an attached large screened in porch, complete with comfy seating & a nice sized grill. The house has a beautiful flow, with the kitchen, half bath, living area and master bedroom/bath on the main floor. The downstairs can be accessed via a spiral staircase OR a rear entrance door. There you'll find a pool & ping pong table, darts, board games and bar area. There are 2 additional bedrooms down here & another full bath.
The few cons I had were really minimal.
-No propane tank at all for the grill
-Bed sleeps at an incline which was a little strange
Above all the pros FAR outweigh any cons, and Jess, the owner, was a breeze to work with. She answered all my emails quickly & tried to answer any questions I had. We will absolutely be returning to this little hidden gem!
The Flat Rock Playhouse (North Carolinas State Theater) is 5 & 10 minutes away (a second, new location is downtown). Asheville is 20-30 minutes and offers numerous activitiess including unique shops and entertainment venues.
