About Sharon Z. Ryan
We are a two professional couples with grown children and grandchildren. We have all traveled extensively and rented many vacation homes so we knew we wanted our own vacation home to be filled with amenities and fun things to do. We are avid boaters, golfers and tennis players and love card and board games. Entertaining family and friends is a priority for us, so we have furnished our vacation home so that others can enjoy spending quality time with their family and friends and feel comfortably at home.
Sharon Z. Ryan purchased this House in 2006
Why Sharon Z. Ryan chose Lake Lure
We bought our Lake Lure home because we fell in love with this area. We travel a lot and feel that this is one of the most scenic areas we have ever visited. The beauty of the lake and surrounding mountains is simply unsurpassed! We have grown children who love staying in our home and now that we have grandchildren, we have equipped the home with a pack and play and a booster seat. We are avid tennis players and we enjoy the tennis courts that are only 5 minutes away. There is also a playground nearby and, of course, boating on Lake Lure. We can't wait to try the new zip lining which is a recently added attraction.
What makes this House unique
We added a fire pit a couple of years ago and have lots of fun making s'mores and roasting hot dogs outside. We love to take walks near our home because there's not much traffic on our roads so they are quiet and very private. We often encounter wild turkey and deer on our walks. And, of course, there's nothing like soaking in the hot tub after a day spent hiking! But we think one of the best things about our home is that it is comfortable for large groups. You can be all together in the open plan living/dining/kitchen area, but spread out on 3 floors when privacy is desired. We furnished it with interesting items from our travels and with comfortable furniture so you can put your feet up. You won't feel you need a vacation to get over your vacation when you leave Lure Me In Lodge.

Relaxation in the mountians
We really loved our stay at Lure Me in Lodge. There were 3 couples so we each had our own king suite that provided more than enough privacy when needed. The deck of course was our main hang out area. I could sit there, and look out at the mountains for days, and we did just that. Unfortunately it did rain more than we would have liked, but the main living area provided plenty of room to spread out comfortably. I was a little disappointed that we didn't see more wildlife, but with the rain, and unseasonably hot weather I can see why they weren't out as much. We played 2 rounds of golf at Rumbling Bald. The most beautiful courses I've ever seen. Climbed Chimney Rock, and did a little hiking on the trails across the street from Ingels. Nothing was too far away so you can get around easily. Once you get use to the winding roads that is. They were actually a lot of fun to drive on. The people at every location were extremely friendly. Stop at Maters for some of the best tomatoes around. We have a little bit more of the country to explore, but we're already talking about coming back to Lake Lure. Trust me you will enjoy.
What a great place to vacation.
We took our entire family including our four sons, two daughters-in-law and three grands. There was plenty of space for everyone and the amenities were great. We will definitely be back again.
Great Mountain View Home
We enjoyed our stay at Lake Lure. The home had everything that we needed. There was plenty of room for our whole family. Everything in the house was clearly marked (light switches, etc) which made everything so easy to find. The views were amazing. We loved sitting on the deck in the evening. The house was clean and undated. We will return here!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review of Lure Me In Lodge. You were wonderful guests and are welcome back at any time.

Graduation Celebration and Fun to Boot
We visited NC from Tennessee for our first grandchild's graduation located only an hour from the Lure Me In lake house. This lake house provided ample room for extended family to be included. The house was absolutely wonderful. There were plenty of bedroom & bed accommodations, a play room down stairs for the youth, a great kitchen to prep meals, but best of all was the deck with a view of the mountains. Oh, and also the quick (less than two minutes) to the Lake Lure community. Lake Lure is a hidden treasure with shopping, eating, swimming, hiking, and more. In addition, it is not commercialized at all - no franchise hotels, big box retail, or such. So I highly recommend visiting this lake house and it's quaint surroundings.
This was the perfect place for a office weekend workshop. It slept 8 adults and a baby fairly comfortably. The view off the deck of the mountains is beautiful. It is very close to the lake and restaurants, and we enjoyed a trip to Chimney Rock for lunch and shopping. The beds were mostly comfortable, there was plenty of sitting and a game room down stairs. We didn't use the firepit but the hot tub was nice. Parking is a little tight, 2 cars can squeeze on the parking pad, with a third behind, but any more will be parking on the side of the gravel road.
Perfect for 4-5 couples! Very nice cabin and Sharon and Heather are great to work with!!
This is the perfect getaway! Clean, nice beautiful cabin. Awesome hot tub and fire pit perfect for roasting hot dogs and smores! Had a ball playing pool and ping pong! Second year we've rented this cabin and can't wait to go back next year!!!
