Great location!

  • 5 of 5

This was perfect for the kids, dogs, and everyone!! Off the main road on the bay made it quiet and ideal for letting the kids play on the small beach without giant waves or worry. House was plenty big for our group of 12. Laundry was great to have. Overall great experience.

Cool Bay Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a great time in this home. It was very clean and fit our needs perfectly. We brought our boat and had fun riding in the bay. The bicycles were so nice to have and ride in the quiet beach community. My parents stayed in the lower room and enjoyed having their own space. The outdoor shower is so convenient when coming in from the beautiful beaches which are a short ride away. The lower and upper outdoor levels were wonderful with the breeze off the bay, the shade, and the large fan. My boys loved being able to walk out the house and fish off the pier. Kitchen was fully stocked. Miss Beverly was very easy to work with and was available if any questions arose. Wonderful first time visit to Orange Beach!!!

Great Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Loved the location, swimming and fishing on the pier, sipping coffee on the deck & watching the Dolphins, cooking our catch of the day on the grill. Great reunion for all ages (2 - 67) & 2 dogs.

Close enough for quick drive to the beach. House was clean, lots of towels, crisp new linens and washer/dryer that came in very handy. The teenagers enjoyed the apartment/4th bedroom on lower level. Miss Beverly was a joy to meet and was quick to help with anything that came up. Loved our vacation in our big house and loved bob, the neighbor who gave the kids some amazing shells. Highly recommend!

Big...but dirty

  • 2 of 5

It is a huge house and although the owners stayed in a RV in front of the house they did keep to themselves and were nice at check-in.

I wish I would have known: to bring toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels as these were not supplied (owner did bring me 2 rolls of toilet paper and some trash bags until we could get to store). We also had to wash all the sheets since there was pet hair and dander on them. I also had to clean all the toilets since there were feces on the top of the lid (downstairs) and urine on the bottom of the lids. I also wiped down the couches since there was a layer of pet hair and dust on them. I also wiped down the counters since there was still food and debris. The floors did look clean. Since the owners lived on the property I did not tell them all of this since I didn't want an uncomfortable week if there was confrontation. I was very upset! The house and pier is in need of some TLC. My son hurt his foot on the boards sticking up on the pier and there are nails that need to be nailed down. The top deck on the pier and house are not accessible and that was disappointing to our young adults. We did enjoy the house after I cleaned it and the pier. There is an outdoor sink on the patio and the pier. There is also a full size fridge on the patio for outside drinks and a picnic table. There are no fishing lights pointing into the water for night fishing, but there was an overhead light on the pier so you can see. The commercial ice maker was nice! It was nice to have pots, pans, plates, cooking utensils, eating utensils, bowls and glasses to use in the kitchen! We enjoyed having a washer and dryer too! We did have plenty of room to sleep everyone, but the king bed is hard. The owner was generous to allow us to use the lawn chairs, bikes, propane grill, citronella candles and left over bait in the freezer. The swimming was nice in the bay. Overall, it was ok if you are a pet owner and have a lot of people, but be prepared to clean!

This house is really awesome! It was large enough for my family to fit comfortably, very clean and well kept. The large area downstairs was a nice place to hang out and it is equipped with a picnic table and bbq grill. It was in the perfect location on the bay. Having a boat and a couple of jet skiis, the launch was convenient to get to and the boat house allowed us to keep the boat in the water during our stay. Beverly, the owner, is very sweet. We all really enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon. Thanks Beverly!
