About Andrew

A paramedic and veterinarian met on the idyllic island of Little Cayman. Six years, one wonderful marriage and two beautiful children later, we still see the beauty that brought us together. The Cayman Islands will always hold a special place in our hearts and this is what we want to share with you.

Andrew purchased this condo in 2007

Why Andrew chose World

Well, you only have to enter the flight path to Grand Cayman to see why we chose here. This idyllic little island is gorgeous! Grand Cayman is also the most stable foreign government in the Caribbean. It is safe, luxurious and VIP savvy. When you are here, they really make you feel special.

The location and amenities in Bonnie's Arch made it the only choice for us. We are avid scuba divers and the diving in our back yard is phenomenal! We can dive everyday for free!

We have lived here day in and day out for 4 and a half years. Now we are following different dreams and providing for our children's futures. Selling would mean the end to our wonderful beginning so we plan to return as often as possible to relive our adventurous beginnings. Hopefully you will fall in love with Bonnie's Arch like we have and want to return again and again.

What makes this condo unique

We are both very active and spend the weekends using the facilities. We have hundreds of hours in the racquetball and tennis courts. I am still trying to beat my wife at at least one game!!!

Being avid divers, we spend time out back doing wall dives at our favorite site, Big Tunnel. Once you come in from a dive, quickly rinse your gear at the hose and head straight for a quick dip in the pool with a cold drink in your hand.

We are close to everything, but not too close to be bothered by the traffic and noise. The nights are filled with stars and the lights from Seven Mile Beach. Frequently, you can watch a fireworks show on Seven Mile Beach from the balcony. You just cant ask for any more!

Beautiful - just as described!

  • 5 of 5

This property is just as Andrew describes it. The condo itself was very clean and nice. The beds were clean and nice - no complaints at all.

Andrew is also very attentive - making sure we had evething at check in.

We enjoyed sitting on the balcony every morning and evening watching cruise ships come in and out, and dive boats just off the shoreline.

What we liked best was the location. If you want a quiet night in, this property is very peaceful and away from 7-mile beach.

If you want to go to 7-mile, the beaches are just a few minutes away with the heart of 7-mile being about a 10-minute drive.

Our stay was perfect and we would definitely stay with Andrew again.

Owner's Response: WOW! What a nice review! It is reviews like this that help travelers see the potential in what a vacation in Grand Cayman can be. I know there are so many choices out there, and more everyday! But how does someone pick the place that will be best for them? For one, location should be at the top of the list. The Northwest point area is close to everything on Seven Mile Beach, but just far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle of city life. Our property is located close to grocery stores, beaches, sites and of course the cruise ship shopping district. Location is a bit more than convenience and shopping. Some properties located on the Northside, East End or Cayman Cai area can cost you time in driving an hour each way, each day just to get to the places that you want to go and see. Can you imagine doing less on your vacation because you chose a property that was located on the other side of the traffic bottleneck of Red Bay and Prospect? Or an hour to get to your dive site pick up location? Choosing a property that is close to all your want to actually do and see is important. But there is so much more to this property... We provide guidance on what there is to see and do while in Grand Cayman. Save hundreds of hours researching reviews wondering if they are real or purchased somehow. Our information is part of our service that we provide to each and every one of our guests...all for free. No extras or add-ons. Get the best entertainment package available for such a small island country. In-home High speed WiFi, Cable Television, US phone line for keeping up with family and friends (or work if you dare), Netflix access, and local phone service...all free of charge! How important is design, quality furniture and comfort? Not all VRBO's are created equally. Since we lived in our home for five years, we had the ability to make it how we wanted to live. Super comfy mattresses, quality furnishings, the best linens, Stone floors and the very best finishes available. If this is at all important to you, then look no further. How important is price? Our additional features, finishes and furnishings cost us a bit more and we are not the least expensive property in Grand Cayman. However, we believe our cost for such a high quality property is well within expectations. If you evaluate our quality, location, service, ultra-fast response, guidance and insider knowledge of the area, you will be amazed with how wonderful your vacation can be!

We just returned from an 8-night stay at Andrew's condo. I can't say enough great things about the condition of the condo, the location, or my dealings with Andrew.

The condo is spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. The porch, where we could sit and take in views of the water and watch the dive boats come and go, was our favorite spot. The complex itself is very quiet, peaceful, and well maintained. There is water access via a non-permanent ladder that is easy to use. We only snorkeled (not dove) but the water and marine life were absolutely beautiful.

In my opinion, West Bay is the best place to stay on the island. It is a peaceful area located away from the crowds of Seven Mile Beach but with easy access to everything you need. Bonnie's Arch is perfectly located there. The grocery store and restaurants (some with shore diving) are literally minutes away, as were our favorite white sand beaches (Cemetery and Governors).

I must add that dealing with Andrew is a key factor in making this the perfect place to stay. From the minute I inquired about the condo, he was responsive and knowledgeable, and just a pleasant person generally. All questions, including during our stay, were quickly answered. He truly wants his guests to have the best possible experience and this shows with every interaction.

I look forward to many returns to West Bay, and to this condo specifically.

Luxury and Privacy Combined

  • 5 of 5

We have rented this condo from Andrew several times. The complex is small, only 12 units, so there is a lot of privacy. You can see all the way to Georgetown with the view from the balcony. In mentioning the view, it is exceptional, the pictures don't do it justice. The inside of the condo and the balcony are exactly as pictured, and very lovely. Every amenity is available. This complex is oceanfront but if you are looking for a beachfront property, this rental does not have a beach. However, if you are a scuba diver this property is for you. Very close to West Bay dock and Morgan's Harbor where a lot of the dive companies depart from. There is also a ladder if you would like to shore dive from the property. We go to Grand Cayman often to scuba dive, and this property is always our first choice.

Andrew is also extremely helpful with tips for sightseeing and restaurants, and can be contacted easily for questions.

If you are a scuba diver, I would also recommend "In Depth Watersports". Personalized service and small dive groups.

Location was just what we wanted, near the 7 mile beach and downtown Georgetown.

Had a great time. We also had time in our busy schedule to play a little tennis. Convenient, right in front of the condo. Our only problem was the tv. We could not get it to work. Thank you for letting us use your home :)

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

From booking to check out, Andrew was extremely helpful and truly cared about our vacation being a terrific experience. Before arriving, he sent lots of helpful information about the condo, diving, restaurants and things to do. The condo was well maintained, very clean and comfortable. We did have an issue with the A/C and Andrew addressed our concerns immediately and the problem was resolved. The area is very quiet and we especially loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the view. The pool, tennis and racquetball courts kept our teens busy. While there is not a beach at the condo, there are a couple within a few few miles - 2 to 5 minute drives, 10 minutes with traffic to 7 mile beaches that we enjoyed visiting. It was especially nice to visit, then leave the busyness there. Very relaxing and fun trip for our family! We would definitely return!

Great condo, great location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Andrew's place for one week in March 2018. 100% positive experience. Newly build, luxurious condo. Well equipped. Kitchen had everything you need. Washer and dryer was very usefull.

The grounds are kept very well. There is a crew working there every day. There is NO BEACH. If you have to stay in the front of the beach - this place is not for you. If you snorkle - this is a nice site.

The 7 Mile beach is 3 minutes away by a car. There are several public access roads to the beach along the 7 Mile Beach. We came for a week of diving and we did two dives from the shore, from the property. There is a detachable aluminum ladder that makes the entry and exit easy. The left white mooring buoy is located at Funky Sponge. Very nice site. Short swim and you are saving $120.00 dollars per person for the boat dive you don't need. The mooring buoy to the right is the Bonnie's Arch. Well known diving site. Every day there are boats from Diving Shops comming with divers. If you stay with Andrew - you can do it for the price of the tank and weights. We paid C$10.00 per tank from the dive store downtown. Weights were C$0.20 per pound per day. This was our 4th trip to Cayman and Andrew's place is our favorite.

Quality of the condo is top level. Great view of the ocean. Dedicated parking spot. Great neighbors. We spoke with several people living there. Very nice, helpful. We will try to stay with Andrew again in future.

The Top 10 must see attractions in Grand Cayman:

1) Stingray City-Swim with a feed huge Caribbean stingrays with the safety of expert guides.

2) Dolphin Discovery/Dolphin Cove-An eco-friendly dolphin experience where you get to swim with, touch and experience one-on-one time with these wonderful creatures. Each has its own theme and is a completely different experience.

3) Cayman Turtle Farm-See these beautiful sea turtles up close, hold baby turtles, feed the daddy and granddaddy turtles, swim in the water park and see the amazing predator tank with live sharks!

4) Scuba Dive the Kittiwake-Of course all scuba diving in the Cayman Islands is great but this is special. At only 20-50 feet, you get a brand new wreck that is anything but! No storm damage, completely intact and ready for safe exploration. The steering wheel is even there for photo time!

5) Rum Point-Need I say more? Idyllic beach covered with natural and man-made shade, crystal clear water, wonderful lunches and did I mention RUM!!!? Most people fall for the mudslide and who wouldn't? But try the Pink Sand Beach with Coconut run instead of the vodka and you have found your beach side drink.

6) Red Sail Catamaran Tours-Dont feel like driving to Rum Point? How about sailing a 100' bright white catamaran on the gorgeous blue sea. The only thing better than the destination is the journey!

7) Queen Elizabeth's Botanical Park-All the native Flora and Fauna of the Caribbean can be found here. It is the refuge for the last known Blue Iguanas on the planet. With less than 20 remaining, it is better to see them now than miss them entirely.

8) Hike the Mastic Trail-See the geology that formed the Cayman Islands before the road and airports and buildings were placed. This is the real Cayman Islands. Its free but you may want to avoid this during summer months.

9) See the East End Blowholes-Along the coastline of the East End (Eastern Coast) is a geologic site. The wave water pressurizes through a small hole in the rock and out sprays something similar to 'Old Faithful'! Only, this one happens a couple times a minute. You can get pictures here if you are patient. Just listen for the telltale sounds....

10) Seven Mile Beach-Although locals refer to it as West Bay Public Beach, this beautiful stretch of sand attracts more tourists than all the banks combined. It is easy to miss general cruise ship tourist traffic and Sundays all the locals spend their days there.

11) Governor's Beach-I know it was a Top Ten list but Governor's Beach is worth it! It is right next door to the Governor's house and you know he would only pick the very best spot. This beach has the whitest sand, the clearest water and the calm water the west coast is known for.

****Guests at our property get all the insider tourist notes on these and many more must see, must do and must eat spots. Contact us and get started with planning your vacation in Grand Cayman with people who have lived and worked there for 5 years. We help with more than just your housing!******
