A paramedic and veterinarian met on the idyllic island of Little Cayman. Six years, one wonderful marriage and two beautiful children later, we still see the beauty that brought us together. The Cayman Islands will always hold a special place in our hearts and this is what we want to share with you.
Andrew purchased this Condo in 2007
Why Andrew chose Northwest Point
Well, you only have to enter the flight path to Grand Cayman to see why we chose here. This idyllic little island is gorgeous! Grand Cayman is also the most stable foreign government in the Caribbean. It is safe, luxurious and VIP savvy. When you are here, they really make you feel special. The location and amenities in Bonnie's Arch made it the only choice for us. We are avid scuba divers and the diving in our back yard is phenomenal! We can dive everyday for free! We have lived here day in and day out for 4 and a half years. Now we are following different dreams and providing for our children's futures. Selling would mean the end to our wonderful beginning so we plan to return as often as possible to relive our adventurous beginnings. Hopefully you will fall in love with Bonnie's Arch like we have and want to return again and again.
What makes this Condo unique
We are both very active and spend the weekends using the facilities. We have hundreds of hours in the racquetball and tennis courts. I am still trying to beat my wife at at least one game!!! Being avid divers, we spend time out back doing wall dives at our favorite site, Big Tunnel. Once you come in from a dive, quickly rinse your gear at the hose and head straight for a quick dip in the pool with a cold drink in your hand. We are close to everything, but not too close to be bothered by the traffic and noise. The nights are filled with stars and the lights from Seven Mile Beach. Frequently, you can watch a fireworks show on Seven Mile Beach from the balcony. You just cant ask for any more!

Great condo, great location
We stayed in Andrew's place for one week in March 2018. 100% positive experience. Newly build, luxurious condo. Well equipped. Kitchen had everything you need. Washer and dryer was very usefull.
The grounds are kept very well. There is a crew working there every day. There is NO BEACH. If you have to stay in the front of the beach - this place is not for you. If you snorkle - this is a nice site.
The 7 Mile beach is 3 minutes away by a car. There are several public access roads to the beach along the 7 Mile Beach. We came for a week of diving and we did two dives from the shore, from the property. There is a detachable aluminum ladder that makes the entry and exit easy. The left white mooring buoy is located at Funky Sponge. Very nice site. Short swim and you are saving $120.00 dollars per person for the boat dive you don't need. The mooring buoy to the right is the Bonnie's Arch. Well known diving site. Every day there are boats from Diving Shops comming with divers. If you stay with Andrew - you can do it for the price of the tank and weights. We paid C$10.00 per tank from the dive store downtown. Weights were C$0.20 per pound per day. This was our 4th trip to Cayman and Andrew's place is our favorite.
Quality of the condo is top level. Great view of the ocean. Dedicated parking spot. Great neighbors. We spoke with several people living there. Very nice, helpful. We will try to stay with Andrew again in future.
Can't wait to get back for a 3rd visit
This is such a great property for us. Very nicely furnished. Great location on quiet part of Island, but not too far from downtown. Owner is great to work with and is great with follow through. Nice on site amenities (tennis courts, racquetball court, swimming pool, ocean access via ladder to the reef). Only con that I can think of is that both bathrooms are in bedroom, so if you have someone staying in common area they have to access one of the bathrooms through one of the bedrooms. Internet is good. TV's are great. We'll be back for our 3rd time. Thanks Andrew.
Beautiful West Bay conso
We just returned from our stay. The condo was great. The location was off the seven mile beach but it was beautiful and the snorkeling was incredible. Saw lots of sting rays and turtles!
Only downside is the owners made us pay for 2 nights when the condo wasn't available. We were looking to rent March 7-16 but they had the condo rented until March 9th. In order to reserve this condo they made us rent March 7-16 but couldn't get into the Condo until the March 9th.
I would bet that travelers might have some confusion with this review: great property, great location, great view, 1-star? We strive for 5 star reviews. So if you want to more travel info, we give it to you. If you want special services or adventures, let us know and we will help you find it. Anything to help make your trip extra special. We have provided special baskets on arrival for honeymoon guests (Champagne and Strawberries), special occasion cakes for milestone birthdays or anniversaries and anything that makes our guests feel special on their dream vacation.
We really go out of our way to help our guests reserve the place they want to stay. Our property may not be available for all the days that you wish it was but that is just how reserving rental property goes. We would never charge a guest for a night that they did not stay. I am not sure where the confusion was. This rental was for 7 nights (check in on the 9th and check out on the 16th), Saturday to Saturday. They may have traveled outside this rental agreement, which we are OK with. Stay with us as long or as short as you want. That is the way it works.
We were happy to receive the review, but I wish it had some area we could improve in before receiving the lowest possible rating. I guess travelers should take note that if 150 guests rate you as a 5 star and 1 rates you as a 1 star, you may want to talk with the owner before thinking that things have grossly deteriorated.
Also, travelers should take note that these reviews are not only important to the owners, they are important to other travelers. Help create a strong, trust-worthy network by giving fair ratings and constructive feedback that can be corrected by the owners. Things like, "I wish they had a hair dryer for each bathroom" or "A shoe rack in the closet would be so helpful."
However, if you like trusted, in-depth travel information from people who have actually lived and worked there and top quality finishes and furnishings, you may have found your vacation rental.
Our longest returning guest just booked their 6th return trip and our longest stay is now 1 month (twice actually). We love the relationships we build with our guests, who soon become our friends. Come begin a lifelong love with this Beautiful Idyllic Island Paradise. You will be happy you did.
Fabulous in Every Way!!
The condo is exactly as pictured and described. What's not to love?! We enjoyed every moment. We dove with DiveTech which is an easy 1/4 mile walk from the condo. DiveTech was friendly, professional and priced inline with other dive shops. Aside from their extremely convenient location to Bonnie's Arch, they offer boat diving, excellent shore diving at Lighthouse Reef AND they gave us a locker to store our gear. They also allowed us to use their tanks to shore dive at Bonnie's Arch (which is a big deal - other dive companies won't let you take tanks). We found DiveTech to be excellent in every way and highly recommend. A dining tip is the Monday night BBQ buffet at Macabuca for CI$17. It's a bargain price for tons of delicious food and a beautiful sunset view. Another tip for "affordable" food is Chicken Chicken. Their rotisserie chicken is tasty and they have numerous sides to choose from. We took it to-go so we could enjoy it on our wonderful balcony. Foster's grocery store is a quick drive and has everything you need. Food on Grand Cayman is expensive so suggest you bring snacks with you for your stay. Bonnie's Arch doesn't offer recycling but DiveTech has recycle bins for glass, aluminum, plastic, batteries and fishing line. We would absolutely stay here again and hope to return one day.
Pros: quiet, well-kept small condo community. Great water views from large covered balcony. Condo has decor and appliance upgrades. Nice pool. Kitchen well stocked with dishes, spices, condiments. We spent most of our time there on the balcony.
Cons: nothing serious, but some things you should be aware of. condo is on 2nd floor with no elevator. Bathrooms are both accessible only through bedrooms, and not sound proof. We used both bedrooms and had someone on the sofa sleeper so them not having a direct access to a bathroom was sometimes an issue. No beach, just water access through rocky shoreline. Currents can be an issue, so use caution. No where to walk to from condo. We ended up driving to Georgetown at least once a day. Only BBQ grill was down by pool wrapped with a chain that we never saw anyone use, so we didnt try either.
All in all, a pleasant place to stay, close to a good grocery store. We did find the currency exchange rate seemed to vary, particularly at grocery and beer store, so we ended up using the grocery atm to get Cayman dollars to buy things there.
Very clean with a huge, stocked kitchen
This condo was fantastic. Upon arrival the whole place smelled incredibly clean and we were delighted to find a well-stocked kitchen and laundry areas along with some coolers, beach chairs, and lots of towels in the closets. Both bedrooms have TVs, although only one is hooked up to cable. The pool is very nice and there were always divers out by the West Bay reefs, although we didn't swim out from the platform to check them out. Although the nearest beach isn't the best, it's only a 15 minute drive to 7 mile beach and well worth the saved cost and beautiful room. The outdoor pool area was quiet and the neighbors were friendly. There is an outdoor shower near the rock platform that we used to rinse off all of our dive gear. Communication is easy from the condo with free Wifi and both local and US/Canada landlines. We would highly recommend this property and the owner to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation in West Bay.
The Top 10 must see attractions in Grand Cayman: 1) Stingray City-Swim with a feed huge Caribbean stingrays with the safety of expert guides. 2) Dolphin Discovery/Dolphin Cove-An eco-friendly dolphin experience where you get to swim with, touch and experience one-on-one time with these wonderful creatures. Each has its own theme and is a completely different experience. 3) Cayman Turtle Farm-See these beautiful sea turtles up close, hold baby turtles, feed the daddy and granddaddy turtles, swim in the water park and see the amazing predator tank with live sharks! 4) Scuba Dive the Kittiwake-Of course all scuba diving in the Cayman Islands is great but this is special. At only 20-50 feet, you get a brand new wreck that is anything but! No storm damage, completely intact and ready for safe exploration. The steering wheel is even there for photo time! 5) Rum Point-Need I say more? Idyllic beach covered with natural and man-made shade, crystal clear water, wonderful lunches and did I mention RUM!!!? Most people fall for the mudslide and who wouldn't? But try the Pink Sand Beach with Coconut run instead of the vodka and you have found your beach side drink. 6) Red Sail Catamaran Tours-Dont feel like driving to Rum Point? How about sailing a 100' bright white catamaran on the gorgeous blue sea. The only thing better than the destination is the journey! 7) Queen Elizabeth's Botanical Park-All the native Flora and Fauna of the Caribbean can be found here. It is the refuge for the last known Blue Iguanas on the planet. With less than 20 remaining, it is better to see them now than miss them entirely. 8) Hike the Mastic Trail-See the geology that formed the Cayman Islands before the road and airports and buildings were placed. This is the real Cayman Islands. Its free but you may want to avoid this during summer months. 9) See the East End Blowholes-Along the coastline of the East End (Eastern Coast) is a geologic site. The wave water pressurizes through a small hole in the rock and out sprays something similar to 'Old Faithful'! Only, this one happens a couple times a minute. You can get pictures here if you are patient. Just listen for the telltale sounds.... 10) Seven Mile Beach-Although locals refer to it as West Bay Public Beach, this beautiful stretch of sand attracts more tourists than all the banks combined. It is easy to miss general cruise ship tourist traffic and Sundays all the locals spend their days there. 11) Governor's Beach-I know it was a Top Ten list but Governor's Beach is worth it! It is right next door to the Governor's house and you know he would only pick the very best spot. This beach has the whitest sand, the clearest water and the calm water the west coast is known for. ****Guests at our property get all the insider tourist notes on these and many more must see, must do and must eat spots. Contact us and get started with planning your vacation in Grand Cayman with people who have lived and worked there for 5 years. We help with more than just your housing!******
