Come and enjoy our 1900 sq ft home. It has a fabulous great room, covered patio, 3 bedrooms with 2 queen beds, 2 twins that make into a king and one day bed (in the office if necessary), compliamentary high speed internet and long distance in USA and Canada, and a fully equipped kitchen with lots of dishes, glasses, and quality cookware and knives, 2 bathrooms (one with a large walk in shower), there are 2 flat screen TV's (great room and Master bedroom) with satellite as well as 49 local stations, the covered patio and BBQ make outdoor living a joy. The home is completely furnished including linens, you need only your clothes, toiletries and groceries.

Enjoy moning coffee, lunch, or supper on the covered patio.. You will be within walking distance of one of the three community pools (with hot tubs). For your enjoyment two bicycles (with locks and helments), tennis rackets, hiking poles, pool toys and exercise equipment are provided. We also have booster seats and a playpen which doubles as a crib for any of our guests who may have children come to visit. There are also some Christmas Decorations if you are our guest during these season.

Johnson Ranch has a great snow bird community and also features live entertainment at the Golf Course Club house on Mondays and Fridays & is a great place to meet other snowbirds. There is banking, a Fry's grocery store, restaurants, a fitness club, medical office, banks and more less than 1/2 mile away. There is lots of room to entertain or have friends come to visit or simply relax and catch your favorite movie on the 2 flat screen TVs.

Our location combines the best of country and the big city. You can cycle, hike, and enjoy the great outdoors, knowing that great shopping, entertainment are just a short drive away. If you are a golfer, besides the Golf Club at Johnson Ranch, there are many other courses within a 30 minute drive. If you enjoy Pro sports, there is a service which provides tickets and transportation to NFL, NHL, and baseball originating from the Golf Club at Johnson Ranch for select games. Downtown Phoenix and Scottsdale are about 50 minutes away.

We do charge $5/person/night for over 4 guests. We can make exceptions for long term guests--please contact us for details.

For our Summer Season, from June 1 to Sept 30, you can rent our home for $1195/month (USD) plus a $100 cleaning fee. Our monthly summer guests (June to Sept) will be responsible for the actual costs of electricity but garbage, natural gas, water, high speed internet and satellite TV are included. We will rent our home by the week for May and Sept and only by the month for June, July, & Aug.

About The Owner

George and Brenda are retired and had rented in the Phoenix area for a few years before purchasing a home. Having been renters, we wanted to make sure that our home has everything that our guests would need for a relaxing and enjoyable Arizona experience.

We have made every effort to ensure that everything anyone could want is in our home: extremely comfortable beds, good exercise equipment, tennis rackets, bikes (with helmets and locks), golf clubs (suitable for beginners), pool toys, hiking poles, stereo, DVD player and 2 large flat screen TVs. We also have “what to see” reference books for hiking and sight seeing in greater Phoenix area as well as a binder full of our favourite activities including hikes, entertainment, shopping, etc. Our kitchen is very well equipped dishes and glasses for 12, quality flatware for 12, blenders, bowls, etc, as we like to be able to entertain friends. You will also enjoy wireless high-speed internet and unlimited long distance to Canada and the USA which our guests can use to contact us and we can answer any of your questions or deal with any problems easily.

Brenda is a retired high school art teacher and has focused on creating attractive surroundings with original art displayed on the walls. George and Brenda use the property in early fall and late spring to ensure the house and yard is fully maintained and extremely clean before our winter guests arrive. We also are very anxious to know ASAP if there are any problems or concerns that our guests have. We hope that you will enjoy our home.

Adequate place, but far from Phoenix

The place was nice enough, but it was so far from Phoenix that we felt like we spent way too much time in our car. They did have WiFi, but most TV was Canadian. The owners were very outgoing and made sure to invite us to several activities during our stay. They did need access to the house while we were there for scheduled maintenance purposes which I wish would have been explained to us prior as it caught us by surprise and forced us to work with their schedule.

Owner's Response: We have had a vacation home for more than 9 years and all of our other reviews have given us a 5 star rating.The normal response is "your home is gorgeous" or "its even better than the photos. We are also surprised by the comment about the distance from Phoenix as our property is advertised as being in San Tan Valley, it is 45 min from Phoenix Sky Harbour airport and 20 minutes from Mesa Gateway airport. A simple check using Google maps would have confirmed where our home is located and the distance from places that they would like to visit. If they wished to be closer they could have chosen a property which better suited their needs. Many people chose our place as they want to be further from any of the Phoenix air pollution that comes with being a large city. They also love our JR 18 hole golf course community with 3 pool/spas, many play grounds, & live music at the club house 3 times/wk. We did have to have our A/C checked while they were our guests and we did give them more than 2 days notice and explained that the company would not do the check unless we were present at the property. We also indicated that they did not have to be present when the company was there, but could be present if they wished since they had personal belongings in the house. We are proactive about maintenance as we do not want there to be any problems for our guests. By having the A/C checked twice a year we have VIP status which means that if a problem should occur, the company will come immediately to deal with the problem. The tech was only in the house for 45 seconds & was outside or in the garage for the rest of the time. We also extended their check out time by an hour to compensate. As noted in the review we did come and meet Eric and Kim and did try to include them in some of the local social events and registered their grandchild for the community Easter event. Our home has both satellite and 50 channels of local TV. We did show them how to switch between them so again are surprised with their comments abou the TV. Eric negotiated for lower rent in exchange for leaving the house spotless. When we checked the house before the housekeeper it was dirty and the portable high chair we lent them was badly stained with chocolate ice cream & unsuitable in that condition for other guests. We have had wonderful guests in the past so eventually we were bound to get someone like Eric.

Very comfortable home with kind owners

We really enjoyed our time in this beautiful home and felt right at "home". It is very clean and has a nice floor plan. We had guests twice, during our stay, and it was very comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed coffee and breakfast on the patio, as we watched the golfers on the course in the backyard. Also, the Johnson Ranch community is wonderful, with easy access to the pools, tennis/pickleball courts and golf course. We took advantage of the free pitch and putt course too. There are two bikes available for use, so it was nice to explore the community on them. The Terrace at the golf course is a great place to relax with dinner and drinks. They have music outside, several nights a week. Thank you, George and Brenda, for sharing your beautiful home. You made renting a vacation home very easy. We truly appreciate your kindness. If we stay in San Tan Valley again, we would surely rent this home.

This vacation property was so perfect .

We absolutely loved everything about this beautiful vacation property, We shared it with other couples and enjoyed a reunion that used every single aspect of the property. the kitchen is so well equipped with lots of quality cooking equipment and dishes .we used the inside large dining room and the outdoor table and grill. This property has comfortable sitting areas both inside and out . The view is onto a golf course so very nice. The beds are so comfortable and there is living space separation between bedrooms so they are very private and every morning you wake to beautiful light and lovely art you can appreciate . Brenda and George are easy to contact and their integrity became apparent with every aspect of the stay. This is located to many amenities we enjoyed as seniors but we could easily imagine a stay with our grandkids there would work well too.

My wife and I had a great month at your home. The location was perfect for easy walking to the nearest pool and playground. The house was exactly as advertised, plenty of room and a great backyard for lounging and grilling. There was convenient shopping close by and plenty of restaurants to choose from in the area.

Very nice three bedroom home in a desirable area in San Tan Valley. The home was beautifully furnished with comfortable beds and furniture throughout the home. Since we enjoy cooking, we appreciated the patio grill as well as the well-equipped kitchen with beautiful dishes and wonderful cookware. Since we are avid walkers, we enjoyed the many areas that we discovered in this area. The free pitch and putt course nearby was also a plus. Brenda & George were very easy to contact with any concerns or requests. We will definitely recommend this home to any of our family or friends that plan to visit this area.

Great house and good location in the San Tan Valley

Really well kept , clean, roomy and right on the golf course! Although we were only at two, the house has plenty of room for a family of 6. About a 25-30 minute Drive to Mesa or Phoenix (owners told us about the drive but we found it was not an issue if we didn't drive at normal busy times)

Owners are easy to deal with and returned security deposit the day after we left the home. We would deal with them again without hesitation!

The San Tan Valley is about 10 miles from Queen Creek and 20 miles from Gilbert. There are many Golf Courses within a 30 minute drive and there is also great shopping, dining, and entertainment within the radius. There is a local service which provides transportation, tickets, and 'tailgating' for sporting events such as NFL football, NHL hockey, and baseball (both regular games and games during the spring training season).
