Relax in the sunroom and watch the wildlife that visits the property: moose, bear, coyote, deer, elk, and bald eagles all call this stretch of the Lower Clark Fork River home and are not uncommon visitors to Sans Souci.

Have the chef of the family cook up meals in the fully appointed kitchen with stainless steel appliances and then gather around the custom made dining table constructed by local craftsmen from trees milled in the area.

Time to watch the big game on the satellite? Your friends and family will enjoy relaxing in the vaulted ceiling great room while watching the game on the 50 inch flat screen TV.

Have fun watching the bighorn sheep across the river on Cinderella Mountain.

About The Owner

Spending time with my family at the cabin is my favorite thing to do.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2011

Why The Owner chose Clark Fork Valley

“I’m in love with Montana. For other states I have admiration, respect, recognition, even some affection. But with Montana it is love. And it’s difficult to analyze love when you’re in it.”

John Steinbeck

What makes this cabin unique

Being surrounded by true wild beauty and all kinds of outdoor pursuits, yet close enough to take advantage of a mountain college town only 25 minutes away in Missoula.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The house is wonderful and the setting is amazing. The house is nestled in the mountains next to the beautiful Clark Fork River. The kitchen was great for entertaining and also for fixing meals. Lots of room to cook and still feel a part of the activities. The bedrooms and beds were comfortable and private.. The house is family friendly. The river is easily accessible from the yard, it is a great place for a family. I began planning my return trip before I had even left the property. I can't wait for my next visit.

By the pictures & the description, you might think it cant be true? Well that just ain't so! Everything is even better than described about the San Souci cabin. The river front is spectacular! The Cabin is better than described. Everything from the bedding to the pots & pans are very well thought out.Be careful about the price & the grill! The VRBO price & Adam's don't match. And, there is a grill, but you will need to bring charcoal. Adam keeps the good grill locked up?

Owner's Response: Thanks Billy. Sorry again we declined your nightly discount request and I will have someone check on the situation with the grill. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Adam

Outstanding cabin in an extraordinary spot......

  • 5 of 5

The cabin sits right on the river making your fishing day start right away. It's spotless and has a TV for the football games if you're there in the fall. Plenty of room and everything is there for most every day needs. Also, you're not far from the Bitterroot or the Blackfoot or Rock Creek if those waters beckon. The pictures can't capture how nice the setting is, and the sun room is the big bonus, especially if you're just back from falling in the river and need to warm up. The cabin is very clean and well kept. Just up the road is the River's Edge Steakhouse with its own ambience and good food (go on a Sunday night and you'll hear some very good local country and western singers.) Highly recommend this exceptional cabin.

A beautiful place

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful and a well-tended cabin. The owner has gone out of his way to make this a great experience. However, if you are sensitive to noise, the trains may bother you, especially at night.

Charming cabin with beautiful river view

  • 4 of 5

This is a charming cabin along the Clark Fork River. The cabin is rustic, but well with a well appointed kitchen and comfortable furniture. The property is very well maintained. The lawn slopes down to the river for outside enjoyment in good weather and also has a lovely sunroom over looking the river in case of inclement weather. The mattresses and bedding are very comfortable for a good nights sleep. The first floor bath is perfectly functional, but cozy when servicing the three baths on that floor. The cabin is a 30 minute drive from Missoula. I recommend stocking up on supplies so you can relax, enjoy the house and river. The owner was very responsive and provided great customer service. We would definitely stay there again when in the Missoula area.

Family vacation

  • 5 of 5

The house is great! Totally private. Plenty of room for 6 adults, 2 kids and lots of nearby family. Fully stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and bedding. Direct access to the river. Beautiful sun room for reading and watching wildlife. Perfect for games, swimming, floating, BBQ's with extended family and nights under the stars by the firepit! Convenient to stores and restaurants in Missoula, as well as the airport. We will make this our home base every year for our summer trip to the 406!!!! Thanks Adam and Brian!
